Mellan två världar : Möjligheter och hinder med att integrera ensamkommande barn
The purpose of this study is to see what obstacles and opportunities the staff on a residence for unaccompanied children experience when trying to integrate these children into the Swedish society. I was also interested in how the integration of these children worked. I have interviewed the staff with a qualitative method. The result was analyzed with the help of Diaz integration theory and Bauman´s theory "us and them", and also with the previous research in the subject. My conclusion is that integration is a complicated concept that is experienced and interpreted individually. There are both obstacles and opportunities in the work with the integration of unaccompanied children. The result shows me that the schools? role and the legal guardians function should have been better planned and framed from the start.

Bakgrund och problem:Företagsförvärv är en process som ständigt förekommer i vårat näringsliv och som nästan dagligen omnämns i media. Trots detta stora antal förvärv som sker är företagsledningarnas kunskap omkring integrationsprocessen av företagen ofta bristfällig. Sammanslagningen av företagen är många gånger det som skapar mervärdet vid ett förvärv. Tids-, kommunikations- och företagskultursperspektiven anses vara de främsta framgångsfaktorerna vid en integration.Syfte: Denna studie kommer att granska dessa tre perspektiv för att skapa en ökad förståelse för dem, samt för att generera kunskap om själva integrationsprocessen.Metod: Fyra ledande konsultföretag som arbetar med integration har intervjuas för att återspegla deras syn på perspektiven och integrationsprocessen.Resultat och slutsats: Intervjuerna gav en djupare insikt i och ökad förståelse för integrationsprocessen. Med hjälp av tidigare forskning resulterade undersökningen i tre nya modeller som beskrev samt tydliggjorde företagsledningens optimala förhållandesätt gentemot de enskilda perspektiven.
Möte med det okända: en studie om integration och socialt kapital
Our purpose with this study was to look at the connection between social capital and integration. Particularly if meetings between people from different cultures can increase social capital and in that way affect integration. We start by identifying the social integration perspective we are going to use through out the study and then we introduce social capital theory as a way of narrowing down the field even more. The study was done through six semi structured interviews. We interviewed three women that was established in the Swedish society and three women that had immigration background.

This study examines regional integration in Africa with a focus on the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, COMESA. COMESA, with roots that go back to the beginning of the 1980?s, is one of the largest and most diverse areas for regional integration in Africa and has currently 19 member countries. The goal of the COMESA co-operation is to become a fully integrated area by the year 2025 that will merge into the African Union (AU). AU will then, in turn, create a fully integrated African continent in a not too far away future.

This thesis sets out to investigate three questions, first, how the Belarusian democratization process has progressed since the country?s independence in 1991 to the year of 2006. Second, how the relationship between Russia and Belarus has progressed during this time and third, if and how Russia has affected the democratization process. The study has been conducted through qualitative method, mainly using books and articles as sources of information. It has been found that the democratization process in Belarus has evolved in a negative direction ever since the presidential election of 1994.

More recently, the number of elderly immigrants has increased. This means that Sweden is faced with new challenges. The purpose of this study was to illustrate how the elder immigrants general situation in Helsingborg looks like, as well as how social workers work to integrate this target group. Furthermore, I wished to have an answer on whether social workers feel that there is a continuing need to be concentrated on the integration of elder immigrants. To get answers to my questions, I have interviewed five social workers in Helsingborg who are working on issues that concern elder and integration.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to explore the meaning of literature forliterate immigrants in regards to identity and integration. The study is based onqualitative interviews with eight Swedes of various backgrounds, but with thecommon experience of an immigration process. In addition to being migrants, therespondents are also public library users who have an interest in literature and whoread literature during their leisure time. To analyze the empirical material ananalytical framework, consisting of a number of analytical concepts from Libraryand Information Science, Literature Science, and Sociology, has been used.

The purpose of this essay was to find out whether the students, which had moved from the school of Gustaf Adolf to the school of Elineberg, had been integrated into their new environment. We chose to analyze the degree of integration concerning their schoolwork, how they interacted with the students from the new school, the school of Elineberg, and their level of wellbeing in their new school. We have used two methods, surveys and interviews, to be able to obtain the general picture of how the integration of the students has succeeded.Our conclusions are that the student has adapted well in their new school despite many obstacles along the way. Our essay shows that the students get along well with their new school friends during class, but they don´t socialise in their spear time. Although they seem to have accepted the closure of their old school some students express that they wish the school would be reopened.

In this thesis the author has through a discourse analysis examined how the concept of culture has been used in the discourse of integration during the late twentieth century in Sweden. The author argues that the integration of immigrating people has been the fundamental method in creating Swedish citizens within the immigrant communities. Särskilt stöd eller individanpassad undervisning : en intervjustudie om lärares syn på barn i behov av särskilt stöd
This study is a qualitative study of two primary schoolteachers and two special teachers approach to children with special needs, and which procedures according to these teachers can be applied to support these children in their progress at school. Building on key concepts such as segregated integration, including integration, diagnostic and children with special needs. This was then analyzed with information collected from the four formal interviews.The study also sheds light on key concepts such as special support, diagnosis, segregated integration and including integration. The conclusion explains the concept of including integration as an approach that works well for both students with special needs in a short period of time yet also students with diagnoses. Steget över gränsen : - en studie om integration inom kommun, skola och fritidsgård
Uppsatsen syftar till att på ett kvalitativt sätt undersöka hur kommun, skola och fritidsgård arbetar och samarbetar för att öka känslan av gemenskap och integration mellan högstadieungdomar med svensk respektive invandrarbakgrund, främst från forna Jugoslavien. Regionalism som motstånd : Två latinamerikanska staters motiv att ingå i integrationsprojektet ALBA
The formation of sovereign states in regional blocks has become an essential feature in the world system. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to investigate which motives and driving forces that affect the creation of projects of regional integration outside Europe and the Western World. By choosing the Latin American project of integration ALBA (the Bolivarian Alliance of the Americas) as a case of regional integration outside Europe and the Western World, the study investigates the motives expressed by the most prominent actors of the project, Venezuela and Cuba. ALBA is chosen as a representative and a unique case and through the consumption of the gramscian and the realist approaches, the essay defines two motives that affect the creation of projects of regional integration. As a way of investigating the actors? motives, the paper studies political statements, especially those of the Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez, and official positions expressed in central documents and declarations.
En SOA utvärderingsmall med fokus på integration, arkitektur och tjänster : Ett praktikfall på Logica
Today, there are no standardized ways to characterize SOA, many are talking about SOA and many say they are using SOA. One way that we have chosen to characterize this phenomenon is through an evaluation that will indicate whether SOA have been used in the development. Basedon a Service Oriented Architecture literature study, we have created an evaluation pattern resulting SOA principles of integration, architecture and services. This evaluation was applied to Logica's own integration system AgrCom through an empirical study to result in a response indicating whether AgrCom is SOA based. The results of the evaluation show that AgrCom is part of an SOA solution but not an SOA as a whole concept.
Ett perspektiv på perspektiv på integration : asymmetrisk förståelse bland aktörer i integrationsarbetet i Ljusdal
Denna uppsats handlar om integration och de olika uppfattningarna om vad integration är. Syfte med studien är att dels ta reda på hur man arbetar med integration i en glesbygdskommun. Att försöka förstå vad olika aktörer i integrationsprocessen har för perspektiv och syn på integration. Att sedan jämföra dessa med varandra.
Studien utfördes i Ljusdals kommun där Kvalitativa intervjuer utfördes med aktörer inom integrationsarbetet. Dessa aktörer är Arbetsförmedlingen, Vänskap- och integrationsföreningen samt invandrare i kommunen.
Att enbart konstatera att det finns olika perspektiv på integration skulle i min mening inte leda till någon vidare intressant diskussion.
Med hjälp av Graebers teori kring asymmetrisk perspektivförståelse kunde man finna svar till varför perspektiven på integration skiljer sig och vad det har för konsekvenser på integrationsarbetet.
I min studie kunde man se att det inom arbetsförmedlingen fanns byråkratiska strukturer som begränsade integrationsarbetet.
