To make it easier for forestry planning the forest owners needs data which describe characteristics of the forest. Such data you usually get from some type of inventory. A relatively new technology which probably is getting more important in the future, is laser scanning because of lower costs. But because the laser technology is relatively new you need to compare it with conventional inventory technologies to get better understanding of the possibilities the laser technology gives. This work intends to estimate field measured characteristics of the forest from laser data with help of regression analysis and then see which of the field measured properties that best could be estimated and which laser variables that gave the best results. This study shows that heights has the best estimates, but biomass, diameter and volume also gives good estimates.

Changes in swallowing function are common in elderly and chronically ill individuals. Therefore it is important to be aware of these changes and their prevalence. The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of dysphagia in nursing homes in the municipality of Linköping, and to correlate dysphagia with variables that can be a cause or a consequence of dysphagia. These variables were gender, age, MMT-result, dentition, weight loss, medical diagnose or number of medications. The intention was also to examine the additional information regarding dysphagia supplied by pulse oximetry.Sixty nursing home residents aged 74-101 years were chosen to participate in the study.

Den här uppsatsen behandlar ett konstnärligt projekt där fem låtar inom rockgenren skrivits och spelats in av en och samma person. Syftet är att utvecklas på sitt huvudinstrument, i det här fallet trumset, genom att spela in låtarna och spela samtliga instrument själv. Undersökningen fokuserar på varför man kan ha nytta av att bemästra andra instrument för att bättre förstå sitt eget. Loggbok har förts under hela processen för att kunna kartlägga vad som lett fram till nya upptäckter och insikter.Många duktiga musiker har det gemensamt att de bemästrar fler än ett instrument. The aim of this study was to investigate patients? experiences of pain during dental hygienist treatment and scaling. The study is based on a questionnaire and includes 129 patients, from four dental clinics in Skåne, Sweden. The questionnaire consisted of ten questions with a Visual Analogue Scale as a main question. Questions about age, gender and dental anxiety were also included.

AbstractThe aim: The aim of the study was to describe what women are most satisfied with in maternity care and if women´s childbirth experiences can be described by means of the QPP-I, who contains 32 statements related to maternity care. Design: The study is part of a national cross-sectional study which lasted for two weeks in Sweden in 2007. This paper analyzes one of the two questions with open answers, which reads: "What was the best with maternity care??. Results: The results showed that out of a total of 735 responses 717 could be placed in the existing instrument QPP-I.

The work organization variable control and the individual characteristic psychological flexibility are two concepts that affect employees? well-being at work.This cross-­sectional study examined the extent to which these variables correlated with burnout, mental health and job satisfaction among homecare workers in Sweden (N=68). As hypothesized, results showed that both control and psychological flexibility were associated with burnout and job satisfaction. Findings also showed that psychological flexibility was associated with mental health. Moreover, the results indicated that there is an interaction effect between control and psychological flexibility in relation to these variables.

Data har inhämtats från 2007 års årsredovisningar och författarna avser att utgå från hur de kvalitativa egenskaperna relevans, begriplighet, tillförlitlighet och jämförbarhet påverkas av införandet.Författarna kommer i slutsatserna fram till att de studerade industriföretagen lever upp till de högre kraven på upplysningar som behandlar deras finansiella instrument, men att skillnader i omfattning och upplägg förekommer. The purpose of this paper is to investigate if a dynamic investment strategy on the Swedish asset market can accomplish better returns then a static investment strategy. The dynamic investment strategy is created by incorporating business cycle predictors and firm-level variables to predict future stock returns. The predictive regression is calculated wih 60 months of observation (1999 01-2005 12) and is then used to estimate future returns for 23 months in the period 2004 01 -2005 11. The structure of the regression, with linear functions of ? and ?, goes back to Shanken (1990) and Avramov and Chordia (2005) has had success with the variables chosen.

This thesis analyzes the expected profitability in land based wind power plants. The expected profitability is calculated on the basis of a wind power project in Vartofta, Falköping. The information required to calculate the expected outcome is then concentrated to this project, which is in this thesis called project Näs. In project Näs they plan to build three wind power plants, with each an effect of 2 MWh. These wind power plants are very capital intensive investments with a long and uncertain payback time.

This is a study in my preparations for my final concert at the Academy of Music and Drama- ?????????? University. My aim is to create a plan and a schedule for my practising methods and other preparations so I will be able to perform at the top of my ability.I have studied and chosen a collection of methods that will help me prepare for my concert and at the same time develop my oboe playing. As a result, I have found an effective way for me to prepare technically on my instrument. I have also learnt and developed methods in how to focus and mentally prepare for a performance..

 A villas price depends on several important factors. By statistical data, a mathematical multiple regression model was modeled. The model has important explanatory variables such as living space, renovation year and standard points has been taken into consideration, in order to assess their impact on the final price for private homes.By using a statistical program,Minitab 16, the final model was selected with eight explanatory variables. The regression for this model explains up to 67.3 % of the variation on the final price.The results showed percentage wise that the standard points had the greatest impact on the price, there after renovation year and then living space..

Efter många års pianospel med inriktning på klassisk musik med det akustiska pianot i fokus insåg jag när jag började spela pop och rock att det då antogs att jag skulle behärska många olika klaviaturinstrument. Inte alltid helt lätt, då det inte finns någonting som säger att du till exempel är en bra orgelspelare bara för att du är en duktig pianist. I mitt examensarbete ville jag fördjupa mig i några klaviaturinstrument för att fundera på hur man spelar på dessa i olika musikaliska sammanhang och vilka olika spelsätt de genom sin teknik för med sig. Jag skrev tre låtar, en för varje valt instrument (piano, orgel, Clavinet) och spelade in dessa, utan klaviatur. Sedan gjorde jag en version av varje låt med varje instrument för att se hur jag själv spelade på olika sätt beroende på instrument.
