Monokulturell och Mångkulturell skola : Pedagogers bemötande av tvåspråkiga barn i en förskoleklass och i en förskola
Introduction: In this investigation I have illustrated, teacher treatment in a mono-cultural pre-school class and in a multicultural pre-school.Purpose: The purpose of the study was to illustrate how educators go about it when they face bilingual children to see how they work in a comparative perspective. The purpose was answered, based on four questions relating to how teachers relate to the meeting with bilingual children, the approach teachers use, which operation mode the use, if the take advantage of children's traditions, and if there is any different in the teachers? treatment of bilingual children in the mono-cultural pre-school class and in the multicultural pre-school.Theories: The theory is linked to the concepts like operation mode, inter-cultural approaches and communications.Methodology: The used methods are qualitative interviews with four pre-school, teachers where an interview guide with formulated questions and observations were used. The purpose of the working methods was to highlight teacher treatment of bilingual children to discover different approaches to meet the bilingual children.Conclusion: The study has shown that the multicultural pre-school working inter-culturally, they are taking advantage of children's home language that is lifted in the nursery and the children's background, while in the mono-cultural pre-school class, they meet bilingual children foremost to develop the Swedish language and they also show interest to the children's traditions. Teachers? treatment leads to a growing confidence in the children and knowledge for the cultural background..
Att arbeta språkutvecklande : En kvalitativ intervjustudie på en mångkulturell gymnasieskola i en av Stockholms förorter
This essay presents and discusses a study that was performed in a multicultural school, where the teachers, since August 2004, have obtained internal training in how to work with language development. The objective with this essay is to investigate how the connection between language development and the development of knowledge can be understood and apprehended by teachers working in this school, and furthermore, to show how a language developing way of work can be accomplished in the teachers daily work.Moreover, I have studied which objectives and strategies, the three language developers in charge of the training of the teachers, have concerning this work, furthermore I have looked into if these objectives and strategies differ from what the teachers understand and practically perform.Pauline Gibbons book, Stärk språket, stärk lärandet (2006), has become a base for this school?s work when it comes to language development. Gibbons presents theories and practical exercises which have their origin from Vygotskij, Halliday and Cummins. Their theories have also become my theoretical base in this study.I have made qualitative interviews with four teachers working in this school, and with one of the language developers.

In this essay I have studied how the kid?s school start are described in picture books. The studied questions are: How the school is described in these selected picture books; what feeling does the main character have into the school start; how the teachers are described in this selected picture books and how are the power relationship described in these selected picture books?The method I have chosen for this essay is a discourse analysis of seven selected picture books with the meaning of starting school. All books studied are written during the 1990 and forward.
Elektroniskt publicerad litteratur: Beskrivningen av dess för- och nackdelar i svensk bibliotekspress 2000-2004.
During the changes of time, the stipulations for the existence of books and libraries also change. With technical advances come new possibilities, and the option to publish literature electronically is one of them. The purpose of this Master's thesis is to answer the question how the advantages and disadvantages of electronically published literature is described and constructed. To further deepen the analysis these questions were asked: What aims are the electronically published literature said to achieve? Why are the electronically published literature said to achieve these aims? And who are favoured/disfavoured by electronically published literature? The analyzed publications are four Swedish library related publications: Biblioteksbladet, Dik-forum, Ikoner and Nya Ciceron.

Aim and questionsThe purpose for this study was to investigate how marks and mark settings are formed in physical training at some compulsory schools. We also wanted to see how the criteria for marks are formed. These were the main questions during this study.? How do the students find the evaluation and the making in physical training?? Are there differences between different student groups when it comes to their experience around estimation and marking in physical training? (gender, marks, schools etc.)? How do the teachers motivate their marking in physical training?? Are there any differences between the criteria for marking between different schools?MethodThe study was carried out during the spring 2005 at eight schools in a municipality in the middle of Sweden. The study involved 339 students opinion polls and 12 teacher opinion polls.
Från elev till lärare : en studie av sex lärares uppfattningar om inductionen, den första tiden i yrket.
Vår studie syftar till att genom empiriska studier ta reda på sex enskilda lärares uppfattningar om den första tiden som yrkesverksam. Vi vill identifiera de faktorer som under perioden upplevs som de största utmaningarna. Det finns ett samhälleligt intresse i den här frågan eftersom många lärare under sin första tid väljer att lämna yrket. Vi gjorde kvalitativa intervjuer med sex olika lärare som arbetat från ett till åtta år. Parallellt med intervjuerna genomförde vi litteraturstudier för att sätta oss in i ämnet och se vad tidigare forskning kommit fram till.

Syftet med denna undersökning var att utforska den lärandes perspektiv genom att lära oss spela ett nytt instrument. Genom att försätta oss i en sådan situation och sedan granska våra egna läroprocesser hoppades vi kunna bemöta våra framtida elever med djupare förståelse. Vi ville på detta sätt försöka synliggöra faktorer som påverkar vårt lärande och bilda oss en uppfattning om hur vi påverkas av dessa.Undersökningen utfördes med oss själva som studieobjekt där vi under hela processen noggrant förde dagbok över våra upplevelser, både skriftligt och med ljudande inspelningar. Inspelningarna bifogas som en bidragande gestaltning till det avsnitt som kallas Processen. I Processen förekommer diskuterande tolkningar som fullföljs i Epilogen.Vår studie visar att det är svårt att till fullo sätta sig in i en nybörjares roll.
"Lets Play!" : En studie av kunskapsöverföring mellan digitala spel och musikinstrument.
The purpose of this thesis was to examine if users of digital music games may acquire skills from the games that may be of use in learning to play a real instrument, that is a non-digitally simulated instrument like an acoustic piano. We have used Gee?s theory regarding a possible interconnection between different semiotic domains, and how this connection may enable a transfer of skills between related domains. In this thesis we examine possible skill transfer between the domains ?digital games? and ?non-digital instruments?. To examine our question formulation we chose to conduct a pilot study from which we collected both quantitative and qualitative data.

Although textbooks are scientifically proven that they are important and central to the school curriculum one should think critically about the content in textbooks - is it really compatible with the curriculum of following the textbook tradition? As a teacher there are different ways to reflect on which textbook to choose. It is important to compare several textbooks with each other and be aware that a textbook should follow the curriculum. A teacher examines many sections/topics in the textbooks, but in this paper only one section will be reviewed among four different textbooks. The section to be compared, in the paper, is the interwar period.

Luckor i insiderlagstiftningen
Uppfinningsrikedomen har alltid varit stor hos dem som på ett omoraliskt och ohederligt sätt vill tjäna pengar på insiderinformation. Genom EU:s marknadsmissbruksdirektiv 2003/6/EG har vår insiderlagstiftning genomgått en stor förändring som har utmynnat i två lagar, lag (2000:1087) om anmälningsskyldighet för vissa innehav av Finansiella instrument (AnmL) och lag (2005:377) om straff för marknadsmissbruk vid handel med Finansiella instrument (MmL) vilka ersatte den tidigare insiderlagstiftningen den 1 juli 2005.En väl fungerande värdepappersmarknad och allmänhetens förtroende för denna, är en förutsättning för en god ekonomisk tillväxt och välstånd i vårt land. Marknadsmissbruk skadar allvarligt Finansmarknadens integritet och allmänhetens förtroende för värdepappersmarknaden och det är av stor betydelse att lagstiftningen stoppar sådant missbruk.Mitt syfte med detta examensarbete har varit att efter att studerat och analyserat den gamla och nya insiderlagstiftningen samt utfört intervjuer med nyckelpersoner inom värdepappersmarknaden, komma fram till en slutsats, vilken är att dagens insiderlagstiftning generellt sett är mycket genombearbetad och effektiv. Dock kvarstår några mindre luckor som redovisas under rubriken ?Analys och Slutsatser? för att insiderlagstiftningen skall bli komplett.Vad som enligt min mening utgör den största faran för att den nya insiderlagstiftningen inte skall vara tillräcklig, är inte lagarnas utformning, utan hur dessa kommer att tolkas i framtiden utav domstolarna.

The thesis mission is to investigate whether the swiveling laser that Vectura (former Vägverket Konsult) has in use to measure the road areas and straddle measuring can be used to detect differences in the reflective road markings function. This is to increase use of the swiveling laser and get rid of the manual measurements performed today.Currently, the measurement of road markings reflective function is performed with both mobile and handheld measuring instruments. The purpose of this thesis is to develop better methods for determination of road markings? reflective function, in order to facilitate the description and suggestions for improvements of the maintenance of road markings reflective function.The questions that the thesis has been to start with are:Can the swiveling laser detect differences in longitudinal and transverse road markings reflective function?The accuracy of measurement has been sweeping the laser over the reference instrument (LTL-2000)Is it necessary with a conversion factor for swiveling laser data against the reference instrument data?To answer the question 2 and 3, there has been a field work in Värnamo where a road stretch with longitudinal road markings and zebra crossing (transverse road markings) has been investigated with a swiveling laser and LTL-2000.The formulas and calculations contained in the thesis are drawn from scientific reports that are produced by VTI in Linköping. The same formula that was used to calculate the optical measurement data was also used for the swiveling laser data.

Tillämpad robotik och parallellkinematikUtveckling och modellering av en Stewart-Goughplattform
I detta examensarbete har ett problem som varit en del av ett pågående projekt på ElektaInstrument AB undersökts och en lösning har föreslagits.Problemet har varit att utveckla och modellera en servoenhet som med hög precision kanpositionera ett instrument i fem dimensioner (tre translaterande och två roterande) och som kanhålla instrumentet på sin position med hög styvhet.Problemet löstes genom att först specificera kraven på servoenheten, sedan undersöktes olikabefintliga koncept för att uppnå kraven. Det bästa konceptet, en Stewart-Gough plattform, valdesoch studerades och analyserades sedan i detalj.Analysen gjordes i två steg, det första steget var att göra beräkningar av krafter och benlängdersom en funktion av positionen för en Stewart-Gough plattform. Det andra steget var att realiseraberäkningarna och implementera dessa i kod och hårdvara för att styra fysiska motorer och fådem att bete sig som önskat enligt beräkningarna.Resultatet av första delen av analysen är ett MATLAB program som kan beräknainverskinematiken och benkrafterna för en godtycklig Stewart-Gough plattform som belastasmed en godtycklig kraftvektor och en godtycklig momentvektor. Programmet kan även itereraberäkningarna för olika lägen för Stewart-Gough plattformen och för olika belastningar ochskriva ut extremvärdena som beräknats.Den andra delen av analysen resulterade i ett LabView program för simultan styrning av sexmotorer och hårdvara för att driva sex motorer. Styrningen har testats på befintliga motorer medlyckat resultat.Resultaten av examensarbetet visar att Stewart-Gough plattformen kan uppfylla kraven som ärställda på servoenheten.
Att få vara med och skriva manus : Att motverka traditionella könsroller genom dramapedagogik i förskolan
The purpose of this thesis is to study how preschool teachers can reach the goal of the swedish educational plan to prevent traditional gender roles for children ages 3-6 through drama in education.This is answered by four hypothesis based on Judith Butler's queer theory, George Herbert Mead's social psychological theory and Gavin Bolton and Dotothy Heathcotes drama pedagogical theories. The hypotheses are tested against four teachers' examples of their work.The hypotheses areHypothesis 1: By using the expert's mantle and active observation in teacher-in-role indrama educational exercises, we can see how the children internalize the heterosexualmatrix and the outline of the internalized other.Hypothesis 2: By using the "mistakes" that occur when children repeat performativeacts that do not fit with the heterosexual matrix, these other possible behaviors can bestrengthenedHypothesis 3: Through drama exercises that are not normative teachers can widen theheterosexual matrixHypothesis 4: Through drama pedagogical methods like teacher-in-role teachers canprovide possibilities of other performative acts and the creation of a more tolerantinternalized other.The analysis show that the respondents work within all these hypotheses in different ways and thathypotheses 2 is the one with the weakest support in the interwievs. The examples are also weakregarding the use of Boltons drama pedagogical methods, but that there are a number of othermethods in use.Some of the conclusions are that more theoretical knowledge in the preschool drama pedagogics tocounteract traditional gender roles and patterns, as well as the drama of educational theory need tobe linked to queer and social psychology research. There is also no monitoring of the long term effects of the work..
