Vilken tanke finns bakom placeringen av en nyanländ elev i en ordinarie klass? : En kvalitativ studie av hur en nyanländ elev utan svenska språkkunskaper tas emot i en ordinarie klass

This thesis is a case studie of a newly arrived student placed in a regular class in a P-9 school in a suburb south of Stockholm. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the class teacher for the regular class and the Swedish as a second language teacher are working with this student. The research questions are:What are the basic ideas behind the placement of newly arrived students in regular classes with no previous language skills?How is the language development for the newly arrived student according to the teacher of the selected class?What methods and materials are used by the teacher in her teaching to benefit the newly arrived student?s language development?The purpose of my study has been to investigate the teachers and the headmaster?s perspective on how the integration of newly arrived students into the regular class can be done and the decisions context for the placement of newly arrived students into the regular class. The study is based on interviews with two teachers and the school headmaster.

Individualisering i undervisningen : Fyra lärares uppfattning om och arbete med individualisering

The purpose of this study is to increase the knowledge of individualism also how individualism is applied in a teacher?s classroom. Based on the curriculum, teaching is tailored to each and every student?s expectations and needs.  My research has been qualitative and includes four interviews with practicing teachers in two multi-cultural schools in the city of Stockholm. I have investigated how these four teachers perceive individualism, also how they individualize when teaching to meet all students' expectations and needs according to them.

Engelskundervisning i årskurs 1 : På väg mot A1-nivå i enighet med den europeiska referensramen för språk

The aim of this study was to explore how young students can be taught during their first year of learning English towards the A1 level according to The European Framework of Reference for Languages, and how the students understand their own learning. The study was carried out in two different classes but with the same teacher, who is qualified to teach English to young learners. The result is based on the analysis of a total of twelve observations of English lessons in two classes in school year one and eight group interviews with the students. Recurrent ingredients through all lessons were activities such as listening to teacher talk, watching films or film clips, singing songs and doing rhymes, using drama activities, talking about the meaning of learning English, practicing guessing competence and learning new vocabulary. The teacher consistently talked about and taught different strategies for language learning.

En gymnasielärares erfarenheter av läs- och skrivsvårigheter

AbstractThe purpose of this essay is to increase the knowledge of which strategies students with reading and writing disabilities or dyslexia use to learn in secondary school. The study aims to examine the following questions:Which coping strategies do students with reading and writing disabilities use in their studies?How can remedial teachers support students with reading and writing disabilities in their learning process?The study consists of two interviews with a total of three hours recorded material made with a secondary school teacher who teaches Swedish and English. The teacher has experiences of reading and writing disabilities herself but also from teaching students with dyslexia. The interviews are constructed into a lifestory describing experiences of reading and writing disabilities in school, during teacher training and as a teacher.

Värdering enligt IAS 39 - Hur har de nya omklassificeringsmöjligheterna påverkat bankerna?

Bakgrund och problem: 13 oktober 2008 gjordes ändringar i IAS 39 Finansiella instrument:Redovisning och värdering samt IFRS 7 Finansiella instrument: Upplysningar. Ändringarnabehandlar nya omklassificeringsmöjligheter för finansiella instrument som inte tidigare fannsoch vilka blivit aktuella i och med finanskrisen.Syfte: Att undersöka hur banker har tillämpat de nya omklassificeringsmöjligheterna ochvilka effekter detta har fått.Avgränsningar: Uppsatsen berör de fyra stora noterade svenska bankerna; Handelsbanken,Nordea, SEB samt Swedbank. Avgränsningen har gjorts med tanke på att banker har en storandel finansiella instrument och således borde var några utav dem som skulle kunna påverkasmest av ändringen.Metod: En studie gjordes av respektive banks årsredovisning för 2008. Det empiriskamaterialet analyserades sedan utifrån den teoretiska referensramen vilken utgörs av de delarav IAS 39 samt IFRS 7 som berör värdering av finansiella instrument, en redogörelse förverkligt värde kontra anskaffningsvärde samt en kort beskrivning av intressentteorin.Återkoppling: Tre av de fyra undersökta bankerna har valt att omklassificera, främst till följdav förändrade marknadsvillkor. Omklassificeringarna har i huvudsak skett från verkligt värdetill anskaffningsvärde.

Vår ambition är att få fram nya aspekter på vad revisorerna anser vara svårt utöver det som litteraturen kring svårbedömda tillgångar tar upp. Metod: Vårt syfte är inte att göra några statistiska generaliseringar utan vi vill få fram vad revisorerna själva upplever vara svårt och fånga nyanserna bakom dessa svar. Därför kommer vi att i huvudsak använda oss av en deduktiv ansats med inslag av induktion. Teori: Teorikapitlet är uppdelat i fyra olika teman identifierade utifrån hur revisions- värderingsprocessen går till. Inom dessa teman har vi sedan tagit fram åtta stycken problemantaganden. Empirisk metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod där vi genom ett subjektivt urval genomfört semi-strukturerade intervjuer med nio respondenter. Syftet med intervjun var att se om våra problemantaganden stämde in med respondenternas åsikter samt att få fram nya problem som upplevs av respondenterna. Slutsats: Revisorer ställs inför en hel del problem i revisionsprocessen av finansiella instrument.

Intervjuer med sju föräldrar och en pedagog

The aim of this study is to widen our knowledge about the basic idea about having an open preschool for adopted children as understood by parents of adopted children and a preschool teacher. Sweden has a large number of international adoptions, in an international comparison among the highest numbers of adoptions per capita. Interviews were carried out with seven adoptive parents and one preschool teacher teaching at a special preschool for adopted children. It was found that adoptive parents had no particular problems with placing their children in an "ordinary" preschool. However, they choose to place the children in an open preschool solely for adopted children because of the possibility of sharing similar experiences as parents and children as well.

Genusstruktur på högstadiet : en studie om hur könsidentiteter ständigt bryts och repareras och bryts

The purpose of this essay is to find out how gender upholds in a classroom, both by students as well as the teacher. The procedure has been to observe the relationship between students and also the teachers. The observations is analysed according to theories of gender and a discussion about why gender is maintained follows. The conclusion of the result is that gender is being preserved in different ways, but also the contrary ? students and the teacher oppose it.

Fritidspedagogens syn på samverkan med lärarna

I have in my thesis examined what a leisure pedagogue does in school. I have asked the questions how it is with interaction between leisure pedagogues and teachers according to policy documents and according to the interviews I did with three professionals. In the literature part I began by describing the historical background to the after-school and leisure pedagogue profession until the new teacher education in 2011th.  My theory section, in previous research and theory, focuses on interaction between leisure pedagogue and teacher. In the research part I describe the interviews I did with three leisure pedagogue on three separate occasions.

I focus on the role of the educator and the preschool, on the grey area children, on the interaction with parents and on "fighter relation". I have during my work tried to see this dilemma from differentperspectives. I question my role as a teacher and recently become a preschool teacher. Peter has no diagnosis, but I have decided to proceed from emotional disorders and language difficulties..

En arbetsplats i världklass

AimThe purpose of this study is to, from a perspective of a PE teacher, look at how teachers of physical education in elementary school designs and assesses the teaching of swimming. The issues underlying the study are as follows:Which elements are included in the swimming education and how do teachers work with these operations?What does the PE teachers classify as swimming ability and what do teachers experience as obstacles for the students development of swimming ability?How do the PE teachers interpret the knowledge requirement in Lgr 11?MethodThe study is based on six interviews of qualitative nature, with PE teachers from various municipalities in the region of Mälardalen.ResultsThe result yielded by the study is that the swimming classes can take different forms depending on whom the teacher is. Common to all the teachers in the study is that they teach emergency management and lifesaving. When it later comes to teaching how to swim and practice, the teachers who teach in the younger age groups work more concentrated and continuously with swimming, while the teachers who work with the older age groups just checks whether students can swim or not.

Ledarskap i klassrummet : En kvalitativ studie om hur fyra lärare förhåller sig till pedagogiskt ledarskap

The purpose of this study is to analyse the attitude of four teachers to leadership in the classroom. The main research questions asked were:What are the teachers` views on leadership in the classroom?What does good versus  bad leadership mean to the teachers? What factors influence the teachers' leadership in the classroom, according to themselves?The method used is the qualitative method and interviews, which is my empirical material, I relate to different theories and previous research of leadership.The curriculum for the compulsory school system, the pre-school class and the leisure-time centre, Lpo 94, says a lot about how both the school and the teacher must pursue a democratic activity; the teacher must have a democratic leadership in the classroom (Lpo 94, s. 5). At school, the pupils should be met with respect, they should feel safe and be motivated to learn.

?Närmast i tiden är det ju blåssidan som gått ned.? : En studie om musiklärares och rektorers syn på barns instrumentval och kommunala musik- och kulturskolors rekryteringsmetoder

The purpose of this study is, on one hand, to obtain an understanding of how children in municipal music- and culture schools choose instruments and what forms of recruitment methods they are subjected to, and on the other hand, how you can make them continue to play once they have begun.To acquire this information, I have interviewed five music teachers and two principals at municipal music- and culture schools in Värmland. The questions treated, among other things, what affects children?s instrument preferences, recruitment methods and what you can do to keep interest for the chosen instrument alive.The result of the study shows some apparent tendencies. Even though some of the instruments have trouble recruiting students and other instruments have trouble keeping them, the old methods, which obviously do not work in a satisfactory manner, are still being used. Instead, increased commitment at the occasion of recruitment, more group teaching which strengthens the social bonds through role models and a will to have the courage to change the organization when it does not work, is required..

Patienters tillfredställelse med distriktssköterskans hembesök

Bakgrund: Patienttillfredsställelse är ett mått på hur nöjda patienterna är. Patienter förväntar sig att bli bemötta med vänlighet och att uppleva trygghet vid hembesök av distriktssköterskan. I litteraturen finns flera olika instrument som mäter patienters tillfredsställelse med sjuksköterskans vård inom slutenvården. Det finns endast få instrument som mäter patienttillfredsställelse med sjuksköterskans vård i hemsjukvården.Syfte: Syftet var att ta fram ett svenskt instrument som kan mäta patienters tillfredställelse med distriktssköterskans vård vid hembesök. Syftet var också att testa detta instrument i en pilotstudie.Design: Denna studie har en kvantitativ och deskriptiv design.Metod: Client Satisfaction Scale (CSS) har översatts till svenska, validerats med hjälp av litteratur och en expertgrupp samt reliabilitetstestats.
