VSEM project and the need for a more efficient way of handling requirements andinformation are highly apparent.The overall objective of this thesis is divided into two parts:1. To identify criteria/factors leading to a successful introduction of an informationmanagement system.2. To develop an implementation process for a requirement management system ?the first step towards a PLM system in EE development at VCC.This will be done through interviews with employees, a literature review and an analysisof studies of three earlier projects within VCC.The conclusion of this study shows the great need for change in work methods fordesigners handling information and requirements. An implementation process has beenidentified with guidelines on how to handle different phases of the process.

Ett effektivt användande av ett informationssystem förbättrar informationshanteringen inom en verksamhet. För att ett informationssystem ska kunna fungera effektivt krävs att det motsvarar de krav som ställts på informationssystemet av olika intressenter.Requirements Engineering (RE) är en viktig del av systemutvecklingsprocessen för att kunna säkerställa en väl fungerande kravhantering. Use case är en teknik som kan användas som hjälpmedel i RE-processen för att identifiera och dokumentera krav.Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka om use case är tillräcklig som enda teknik för att identifiera och dokumentera krav samt vilka eventuella kompletterande tekniker som används bland systemutvecklare. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att use case-tekniken inte är tillräcklig utan måste kompletteras med andra tekniker för att möjliggöra att samtliga krav kan identifieras och dokumenteras..

Building Automation Systems in commercial buildings are often designed and installed by different contractors, using equipment and components from different manufacturers. The lack of an accepted communication standard has resulted in a few different standards. Many manufacturers of building automation systems only support one, a few or none of these standards, while developing proprietary system solutions. Regin, who develop such equipment, are planning to adopt an open communication protocol specially designed for building automation - BACnet. As a step in that direction this thesis was announced with the purpose to investigate the possibility to implement BACnet in one of their products and to gain more knowledge of the BACnet protocol.

Information handling has been a key issue for different companies for a long time. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is used to transfer different business documents from one company to another. This is done in such way that the information itself is separated from how this information is stored and handled in the companies internal systems. As different companies have different systems there is a need for a standardised format for this exchange. There is a big difference between EDI-systems based on what kind of EDI-standard is used.

I studien har gymnasielärares didaktiska val för implementering av geografiska informationssystem (GIS) i geografiundervisningen undersökts. Resultatet baseras på intervjuer med sex stycken respondenter, vilka har framhållit sina erfarenheter, tillämpnings- och förhållningssätt till GIS.De slutsatser som framkommer är att respondenterna enbart använder webbaserade och kostnadsfria GIS-program i undervisningen. I dessa tillämpas GIS som ett verktyg för att behandla olika frågor i undervisningen, och därmed är det undervisning, med hjälp av GIS, som karakteriserar respondenternas användning. De didaktiska valen behandlar naturgeografiska förhållanden, såsom landformer. Vissa respondenter använder också GIS till att behandla frågor med utgångspunkt i kulturgeografiska förhållanden, till exempel olika typer av befolkningsfrågor.

Vid utveckling av datoriserade informationssystem är kvaliteten och därmed kostnaden på slutprodukten i hög grad beroende av hur väl man har lyckats att realisera kundens krav och önskemål på det tänkta systemet. För att kunna realisera kundens krav måste först de krav som kunden har på systemet komma till kännedom för utvecklaren. Kunden är inte heller alltid förmögen att ställa samtliga krav då han eller hon inte vet vad som är möjligt att kräva av systemet. Som stöd för utvinningen av kundkrav finns ett antal olika metoder och ansatser. Samtliga av dessa metoder har dock brister och begränsande egenskaper som påverkar deras effektivitet för att utvinna samtliga kundkrav för ett tänkt informationssystem.Den metod som kritiskt analyseras i denna studie är prototyping.

This report describes the development of a high-voltage connector at the request of Scandinova Systems AB in Uppsala. The development process is described from the making of a customer demand specification, to the making of drawings for the manufacturing of prototypes. Scandinova develops high-voltage modulators, hence the need for connectors that can handle very large power pulses. Their current connector has several weaknesses that may cause the connector to melt or catch fire. The development began with a number of studies that included the modulator structure and the current connector structure and functions.

För att utveckla informationssystem använder företag och organisationer ofta systemutvecklingsmetoder. Att välja en systemutvecklingsmetod kan många gånger vara svårt, då olika systemutvecklingsmetoder lämpar sig för olika sorters projekt.Systemutvecklingsmetoder har bakomliggande filosofi som påverkar hur olika delar av informationssystemsutvecklingen sköts. Exempelvis är testning en viktig del i utvecklandet av informationssystem. Vi har därför i denna studie valt att inrikta oss på hur systemutvecklingsmetoder ser på testning.  Denna studie grundar sig i en litteraturstudie där vi som syfte haft att jämföra systemutvecklingsmetoderna; RUP, DSDM och Scrum i avseende systemutvecklingsmetodernas syn på testning.

Environmental issues and sustainable development is a high priority in today?s society and has received substantial attention lately. In the inaugural speech it is expressed that the goal for the IT?politics is a sustainable information society for everyone, which can be achieved by using IT to support sustainable growth. The Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications has developed a document which outlines three specific proposals on what the government should focus on during a three?year period (2008?2010) that with the use of IT will contribute to a sustainable society.

Starting point to this Paper is the idea and wish to adapt the society and its different activities to a recycle society. A building area in Göteborg is planned and investigated for such adaptation. In the district named Skogaberg, about 130 households totally are planned from what 20 are blocks of flats. The idea with this project is to constitute an alternative sewage system, a Blackwater system, were the fractions of most nutrients and least pollution are separated, taken care of and utilised. The aim is to get a market and use the nutrients of the organic waste from the household in agriculture use.

Utvecklingen av informationssystem har de senaste åren gått framåt med stora steg. Trots detta utvecklas massvis med informationssystem som inte fungerar i verksamheten där de ska användas. Detta tillsammans med ökningen av användandet har gjort att kraven på systemens utformning har stigit. Många författare anser att lösningen på detta är att engagera användarna i större omfattning än vad som görs i dagens utvecklingsmetoder. En av de mest använda metoderna för systemutveckling idag är Rational Unified Process (RUP).

Ipendo Systems in Linköping, Sweden, is a small IT consulting firm developing among other things custom portal applications based on Microsoft Sharepoint 2010. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether the test tools TestComplete and LoadComplete provide sufficient compatibility for functional and non-functional testing of Ipendo Systems? Sharepoint based applications, as well as design testing related activities to be incorporated into their existing software development framework. A test process maturity framework was chosen and applied for the design of the testing activities, while the test tool investigation resulted in guidelines on how to apply the tools effectively and circumvent any issues discovered..

Development and accuracy tests of advanced exchange trading systems require well adjusted tools for testing. Aptness of these tools are probable to have a major impact on identification of bugs and verification of new functionality. Identifying erroneous parts and bottlenecks of the trading system is of outmost importance for the exchange as a whole since stability and correctness are two of the determinant factors its viability is measured by. This paper covers how this test-tool was created and the motivation behind the design choices made. The tool was created with the goal to be broad enough to cover the majority of cases that could arise, fast enough to be able to test the trading systems speed limitations (i.e.

Allt fler organisationer väljer att förbättra sin verksamhet med hjälp av ett informationssystem. Användningen av datoriserade informationssystem ökar inom hälso- och sjukvården och sjuksköterskorna blir alltmer beroende av IT. Idag utgör telemedicinska tillämpningar en delmängd av alla de IT-tillämpningar som finns inom hälso- och sjukvården. Införandet av telemedicin bär med sig stora problem och hinder och ett av de mest kritiska problemen som bör försöka undvikas är utebliven användaracceptans. Då tidigare undersökningar inom telemedicin främst har genomförts i industriländer syftar detta arbete till att undersöka vilka faktorer som kan påverka acceptansen vid införande av telemedicin i utvecklingsländer.

Hösten 1991 startade Linköpings kommun ett projekt, som syftade till att införa ett kommungemensamt geografiskt informationssystem, LINGIS. Systemet hanterar kommunens fastigheter, byggnader, vägar och planer som geografiska individer med koppling till befintliga källregister, såsom fastighetsdatasystemet och personinvånarregistret. Kommunlantmäteriet, som har uppdrag att förvalta och utveckla systemet, vill undersöka möjligheterna att använda LINGIS som informationskälla i ett realtidssystem. I examensarbetet utvecklas ett testsystem för att undersöka möjligheter och ge erfarenheter av positionsbestämning i realtid. Genom att sända positionsdata från till exempel ett fordon till en sambandscentral är det möjligt att påverka källan.
