The demand for district heating is expected to decrease in the future, due to competition from heat pumps and energy efficiency measures in buildings. Development of existing district heating systems is therefore necessary for district heating companies to maintain market shares. This Master?s thesis describes and investigates the heat and electricity production and profitability of a combined Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and heat pump that is integrated with an existing district heating system. The studied district heating system is utilizing heat from waste incineration. In Sweden waste constitute 20 % of the fuel mix used in district heating systems, and this share is expected to increase in the future.

The web has a broad affect on the global economy and can among other things be used for web based information systems (WIS). These systems have grown from being used as a market platform to support all activities in the work of an organisation of today. To survive in a turbulent competitive environment, companies must start to cooperate with their customers instead of just collaborate with them. Can an IT-consultant company use a WIS as a tool for keeping in contact with existing customers to attain this cooperation? A WIS could strengthen the relation between customer and supplier and through that have a possibility to increase the customer use since it can facilitate business processes and imply that services can be offered in a new way.

West Pokot County is located in North Western part of Kenya where the previous lifestyle was nomadic pastoralism. However, in recent years the semi-arid county has been under dramatic developments and a sedentary agro-pastoral lifestyle is now growing. This is a major change in production systems and there is a big knowledge gap especially for the livestock based agro-pastoral systems. The main objective of this study was to investigate the current situation of animal husbandry in West Pokot. Twenty farmers were interviewed in Chepareria Division, using semi-structured interviews to investigate if the use of enclosures have had any effect on animal husbandry in West Pokot and if so, how have this method affected the animal husbandry? The results of the study indicated that there is a difference in animal husbandry between farms using enclosures and farms not using enclosures.

Enligt det så kallade fördubblingsmålet skall antalet resor med kollektivtrafiken fördubblas i Sverige fram till år 2020. För att nå upp till detta behövs inte bara investeringar utan även strukturella förändringar och nya sätt att tänka kring människors resande, ett synsätt som delas av myndigheter och forskningscentra på ett internationellt plan. I detta sammanhang anses det också viktigt att behålla yngre resenärer, vilket ställer krav på kollektivtrafiken att framstå som ett attraktivt alternativ till motordriven persontrafik. Här syftar det aktuella projektet till att bidra till en förstärkt resupplevelse i kombination med stöd för planering och genomförande av resor. Projektet tar avstamp i ett utnyttjande av modern informations- och kommunikationsteknologi samt i möjligheter inom Webb 2.0 att dela information.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att få ökad vetskap om vad elever och lärare har för erfarenheter och inställningar till informations- och kommunikationsteknik, IKT, i skolan samt hur elever upplever att de lär genom IKT. För att uppnå syftet har vi utgått från följande problemställningar: Vad har elever och lärare för erfarenheter av Smart ? board och dator i skolan? Vad har elever och lärare för inställning till Smart ? board och dator i skolan? Hur upplever elever att de lär genom Smart ? board och dator? Vi har utfört en kvalitativ undersökning på en skola i skolår 4. Vi har intervjuat elever och lärare samt utfört observationer. I arbetet tas olika teoretikers syn på barns utveckling och lärande upp.

Abstrakt: Vi lever i ett samhälle där informations- och kommunikationsteknik (IKT) förkommer både i skolan och i vardagslivet. Samhället kräver av barn och ungdomar att de är förberedda inför hanteringen av IKT när de kommer ut i yrkeslivet. Detta innebär att lärarna i dagens skola behöver tillgång till IKT för att använda den som ett pedagogiskt verktyg i sin undervisning. Men frågan är hur stor erfarenhet och möjligheter läraren har kring IKT i sin undervisning. Syftet med detta arbete har varit att undersöka hur lärare resonerar kring IKT i skolan för att strukturera undervisningen.

Requirements management is a process within an IT project, where customer has certain requirements that must be met by an IT system. The difference between the traditional and agile development is in the requirements management process and it can cause problems in a project.

The means which is used is an authorisation and accreditation process.All Information Technology systems go through a life cycle which includes realisation, usage, development and liquidation. In the Swedish Armed Forces the lifecycle is an authorisation process.

Social workers in this study describes various experiences of the assessments of interventions for children and adolescents. Social workers experience of the many different situations where an assessment of best effort must be made on the basis of BBIC, which is the Social Services investigation records. To make this assessment, the Social workers need social assistance and support of their colleagues and manager. Knowledge mixed with experience is also an important part when it comes to being professional and not let emotions control that could otherwise be happened when the social worker meets and builds relationships with clients. Social workers are also those who will decide which achievement the client needs from the needs.

Syftet med denna studie är att öka kunskapen om digitala verktygs och läromedels möjligheter och svårigheter i textilslöjdens undervisning. Studien behandlar vad några textilslöjdlärare i en mindre kommun i Sverige anser är för- och nackdelar med informations- och kommunikationsteknik (IKT) i textilslöjden. De frågeställningar som besvaras är vilka resurser som textilslöjdlärarna har tillgång till för att ha möjligheter att införa IKT i undervisningen, dels de materiella tillgångarna, men även deras egna tillgångar i form av kunskaper. Här undersöks också vilken inställning textilslöjdlärarna har till att använda digitala verktyg i textilslöjdens undervisning. Metoden som används i studien är kvalitativ intervju och intervjufrågorna är grundade på min egen förförståelse av ämnet.

During the past few years an increased attention has been paid to environmental issues in the construction and property sector in Sweden. In order to simplify the work with these issues a Swedish environmental certification system for buildings called Miljöbyggnad has been developed. This thesis aims to investigate the opinion of a selected number of selected property owners of Miljöbyggnad. From that basis recommendations and actions for the future work with the system will be presented.The investigation has been conducted through personal interviews with five property owners. The main issues that the interviews have been based on are their purpose, experiences, perceived complications and future prospects in terms of certification using Miljöbyggnad.The system intends to be cost-effective, simple and to offer a relevant environmental assessment of buildings and the result from the report indicates that this is largely fulfilled.

I företagsekonomisk litteratur beskrivs sällan samband mellan kapitalbudgetering och annan ekonomisk styrning, vilket innebär att det finns ett tomrum inom forskningsområdet. Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva hur företag inom den svenska skogsindustrin utformar och använder kapitalbudgetar som beslutsunderlag samt utreda och förklara sambandet mellan kapitalbudgetering och annan ekonomisk styrning. Metod: I studien har kvalitativ metod och fallstudier använts.

The access to good sanitary facilities is an important factor that elevates the experienced living standard as it improves hygiene and reduces the transmission of deseases. The ratification of the millennium goals by 189 countries demonstrates that this is an important international issue. Together the countries have taken upon themselves that the proportion of the population that lacked access to sustainable safe drinking water and sanitary facilities in the year 2000 will have been reduced by half by the year 2015. In Peru, the construction of sewage pipe networks to transport the sewage out of the direct human environment is progressing. The safety and sustainability of these systems can be questioned, since in Peru the sewage seldom receive any treatment before being emitted to a recipient. This is taking place in Picota and sorrunding villages as well. In the last 25 years several systems implementing small-scale onsite treatment have been introduced throughout Latin America in an attempt to give more people access to sustainable and safe sanitary facilities, reducing water consumption and taking advantage of the agricultural values of the sewage fractions while protecting the environment from its negative impact. In this study three different sanitary systems and the effects of different population growths were compared.

My main purpose for this paper was to find out what the four teachers I interviewed thought about the design of their classroom and how they linked that to pedagogy, pupils learning and policy documents. I also wanted to find out if classroom design were something they discuss and reflects on in the college.My questions for this study were: What do some teachers who work in the early ages in the school think about the classroom design? Do these teachers link the classroom design to policy documents or pedagogy? Do these teachers consider classroom design to be something that should be discussed in the same way as other factors (for example teaching aids, resources etc.) within the college?My method was to make qualitative interviews with four teachers, analyze their answers and link them to my main theories and research in the area of the study. My main theories were multimodal communication, which means that there are several systems of signs in communication, which all have an essential function for the meaning of the communicated. It also means that learning happens both individually and socially and that school is a social construction, and that the system of opportunities and boundaries in which it takes form is mediated within our multimodal systems.

Målsättningen för projektet var att ta fram en miljövänlig, innovativ lösning på ett skyltsystem för källsorteringsstationer i kontorsmiljö åt Eko Systems AB. Skyltlösningen som idag används på producenten Eko Systems sorteringsmoduler fungerar väl hos användarna men både inköpare och producent ser brister i bl.a. lagerhållning, miljöanpassning, användarvänlighet och kundanpassning, samt i hanteringen av den mängd olika skyltar som producenten måste tillhandahålla. Arbetet resulterade i att ett nytt helhetskoncept för en skylt med utbytbar information togs fram. Konceptet uppfyller producentens höga krav på att vara miljövänlig och nytänkande, med en attraktiv design anpassad till företagets nuvarande produkter.
