This paper concerns the treatment of people at execution places and it is focusing on Gotland and the execution place called Galgberget. The material in the paper comes from Galgberget and a gallow in Denmark called Slots Bjergby. Together with this the laws of Gotland during the medieval and later periods are discussed and also how the archaeological material (especially the buttons) found on the excavation site can help to understand the people buried on the gallow site. The result of the analysis shows that the laws and the material found on the excavation site often tells different things. The punishments are often softer then what the law says.

This makes de management of information complex. To mange, monitor and analyze the information, companies can use a system called Business Intelligence. BI system is an analytical system that extracts and converts data into useful information that helps employees to make informed decisions.

Syfte: Att belysa patienters behov av information postoperativt. Bakgrund: Flera hundra tusen operationer genomförs varje år i Sverige på patienter som läggs in på sjukhus. Många av dessa patienter är stressade och oroliga och behöver få information för att minska deras oro. En av kärnkompetenserna för sjuksköterskor är att kunna ge information. Metod: Kunskap om vikten av patientinformation införskaffades genom vetenskapliga artiklar.

Syfte: Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur information kan hanteras med ett integrerat affärssystem till stöd för controllers och personer med ledande befattningar.Metod: Vi genomförde en fallstudie där vi intervjuade controllers och personer med ledande befattningar på WSP. Detta för att kartlägga de informationsbehov som finns utifrån deras centrala arbetsuppgifter. Med utgångspunkt från en teoretisk referensram och med vetskap om deras informationsbehov analyserade vi hur information kan hanteras med hjälp av ett integrerat affärssystem till stöd för dem.Resultat: För personer med ledande befattningar handlar det ofta om att få information för att ta sig till beslut, och de behöver oftast olika sorters information. Controllern har en central roll för att hantera och vidarebefordra information, och det är viktigt att det finns bra verktyg för att hantera och distribuera information. Ett integrerat affärssystem kan vara till stöd för hantering och spridning av information, och vid utformandet av affärssystemet är det viktigt att skapa en presentation av informationen som stimulerar användaren och ger möjlighet för användaren att förstå dess innehåll.

This bachelor thesis is about communication problems and treatment during the reference interview. The purpose was to investigate the reasons of why users? information needs are not always understood by the librarian and what to do about it. I have also investigated what kind of skills that can be useful for librarians to have and how a librarian can act in a way that makes the user feel welcome during the reference interview. The method I used was a literature study and an own study through interviews of library users.

Background: Heart failure is a complex condition which means that the hearts capacity topump blood is reduced. The aim of this study was to investigate how patients with heartfailure considered their knowledge and the information they received about their disease andself-care.Method: Patients suffering from heart failure, hospitalized at section 30 E (n=13), andpatients visiting the nurse led heart failure clinic (n=4) at Akademiska sjukhuset in Uppsala,were requested to participate in the study. The patients answered questions about knowledgeand information concerning self-care and their disease. Data were analyzed using SPSS 15.0.Results: The patients valued their knowledge about the disease as lower than their knowledgeabout self-care. The study showed that all the patients found the information they hadreceived about their self-care better than the information they had received about theirdisease.

I denna uppsats undersöker vi hur tre olika tidpunkter för visning av information på en secondscreen uppfattas av personer. Målet med undersökningen är att få en inblick i hur tittare upplever information som visas på en second-screen. Vi hoppas att resultatet ska kunna bidra till utformingen av kommande second-screenapplikationer. Dessutom har vi undersökt om tidpunkten av när information visas påverkar minnet av det personer ser på second-screenen. This essay focuses on Stable Diffusion and Midjourney to examine biases in fashion representation and how fashion is visualized and reproduced concerning race, social class, and culture. A series of prompts were intentionally written in simple terms such as ?rich,? ?poor,? and ?race.? The results revealed troubling biases, as these programs consistently depicted poor individuals as people of color and portrayed wealthy, elegantly dressed individuals as exclusively white..

We have done a qualitative and quantitative study about math problems on second­ary school students. The study is based on the diagnosis, treatment and training of teachers, about students who have math difficulties. The aim of this work is to obtain teachers ?perceptions about students? diagnosis, treatment / improvement and continuing education for students who have math difficulties. By having interviewed various teachers through surveys we have received answers to their concerns about the diagnosis, treatment and the importance of continuous training of teachers on students? mathematics difficulties.

The fast developments in information and data technology during the recent years have accentuated the need for the business manager to interpret and act on information from the surrounding environment. The application is made to dairy farms in Sweden. The literature review describes the strategic leadership, the decision-making process and the intuitive and the analytic thinking.

Background: For an individual a surgery may involve strains and risks. Many patients experience a loss of its own identity and often an inability to control the situation while going through a surgical operation. Fear of pain or to not wake up from the anesthetic or that the surgery will fail are worrying factors that some people experiences. Purpose: The purpose was to describe patients? perceptions of preoperative information in connection to elective surgeries.

This essay concerns the fantastic and its position in narration. The fantastic's defintion is based on Martin Horstkotte's defintion in The Postmodern Fantastic and the essay focuses on the noncontextual aspects such as the clash between two incompatible fictional worlds and the absence created. Instead of the ordinary identification of the established fictional world with realism and our reality it is suggested that both of the colliding fictional worlds are fictive and that the established one not necessarily need to be realistic. Exampels on how the fantastic takes place on the syntagmatic level in a narration is drawn from the short story ?Samvetets fantasi? by Clas Livijn when analysed with Peter Brooks' closurebased narratology theory in Reading for the Plot.

The purpose of this paper is to examine different attitudes regarding freedom of information and how libraries should fulfil their information-task represented by four organisations. The organisations are important in shaping the Swedish public libraries in different ways. The purpose is to examine in what ways their definition of information freedom may differ from one another and what that means in defining the public library. For the survey the qualitative textual analysis has been used for examining the documents and websites that are part of the debate about the public library and information freedom. We chose to interview representatives of four organisations that in different ways influence the shaping of the public library.
