Communication is an important part of any multi-agent system. There are different ways of communicating and they have different effects on a multi-agent system. This project describes and evaluates two different ways of communication, implicit and explicit. To compare the two methods, two experiments have been executed. The result of the experiments have been compared and discussed.

I dagens företag är information och kommunikation något grundläggande för att nå framgång. En organisation i förändring har stort behov av kommunikation, eftersom den tillkännager, förklarar och förbereder personal för förändringen. Det finns en mängd olika kommunikationssätt som kan användas för att kommunicera förändringar, därför vill vi veta vilka sätt som används i tjänsteorienterade organisationer idag och om det skett någon utveckling sedan tidigare forskning gjorts. Slutsatser: I Unionen används videokonferenser, forum och internetgrupprum i större utsträckning än vad teorierna beskriver. Utöver dessa används intranät, möten, e-mail och telefon, samt även brev och fax.

Workplace accidents in Sweden have in recent years increased. Companies are at the same time putting a greater emphasis on preventing accidents and inform about safety and risks. Therefore there is a need to know how to visualize this safety information. This study is based on a part of a project proposed by the industrial company AB Wahlquists Verkstäder, in which they want to visualize their safety information for new employees and existing staff, and also for temporary contractors and apprentices. The purpose of this study is to see what is required of the visualization of safety information and what guidelines that should be followed.

The main purpose of this Master's thesis is to investigate the new librarians' experiences and skills in the context of their present work situation and the ongoing debate about the librarian's professional identity and status. Further, the authors wanted to find out whether the new librarians' experiences and knowledge developed throughout their education correspond to the requirements of the employers. Finally, they try to assess theimpact of the "academization" of the library schools on the status of the profession. The data consist of an opinion poll. The investigation is based on questionnaires distributed as a web survey.

The new information society has revolutionised almost the entire world. But the new technique does not only bring good. That which was before only available on paper may today only be available on a computer system. This makes it possible to send data electronically. In the wrong hands that information can become a threat against the security of an individual, a company or even a nation.

Course: Bachelor thesis in Business Administration, 10 credits Purpose: Our purpose with the bachelor thesis was to investigate if there is a connection between communication of and around internal performance reports and profitability in companies. Method: Our investigation has been made at seven companies in the county of Blekinge by making personal interviews with people in both production and business departments at each of the companies.

Background: Patients postoperative pain is often underestimated. Untreated or undertreated pain decreases the chance of optimal recovery after surgery. Pain assessment is an important factor of efficient pain relief. Aim: The aim of the literature study was to describe factors of importance for nurses´ assessment of postoperative pain in patients. Method: A literature study was done where qualitative and one quantitative article was reviewed.

Increasing immigration to Sweden has transformed a culturally homogeneous society into a more heterogeneous one. As a consequence intercultural communication and interaction have been increasing. Child health care agencies have encountered these increases. The aim of this study was to examine what the health care professionals experienced and communicated in these intercultural environments. Eight interviews with child health care nurses were carried through at four child health care centers in the south of Sweden.

This master thesis project will describe and evaluate the interfaces between applications and Controller Area Network, CAN, interface boards from different manufacturers. The interfaces have corresponding functions but the usage of parameters is different. The simply communication of sending and receiving messages is more alike than the supplementary functions between the different interfaces. The CAN communication is more controlled by the CAN protocol and is therefore more alike. The evaluation shows differences and similarities between different interfaces and also difficulties and options to translate them.

Background: Last year (2006) has been a year when the environmental issues figured more often in the media, and the environmental awareness among common people increased. Environmental climate reports have lately been on the headline all over the world. As a result of the increasing population in the world, it?s becoming more important to be aware of the environment. Shorter hospital stays increases the need for well functioning post hospital aftercare. Persons close to the patient are often involved in the aftercare and need information about self-care. This need is frequently not satisfied. The aim of this study was to investigate if the next-of-kin of patients cared for at the thoracic clinic at Uppsala University hospital, have received information about self-care and how they perceive the information they have been given. METHOD: To investigate this, questionnaires were sent out by mail.

Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka former och frekvens av IKT i ett kommunikativt syfte i skolan.I bakgrunden presenteras att kommunikation med datorerna sätter sin prägel på människors liv och Internet påverkar i hög grad den dagliga tillvaron. Hur tillgången till datorer är i svenska hem och skola samt vilken betydelse datorns placering i har arbetssituationen belyses.I den teoretiska bakgrunden beskrivs vad kommunikation och information är, att vi alltid kommunicerar men det är skillnad på de medel som används. Här belyses även datorns betydelse för kommunikation inom informations- och kommunikationstekniken (IKT). Här exemplifieras vidare datorn i ett pedagogiskt syfte och dess användning inom skolan samt att kringmiljön är viktig.Studien är huvudsakligen baserad på en kvantitativ metodinriktning i form av en enkätundersökning där lärare och elever vid tre skolor i sex olika klasser svarar på frågor kring datorns nyttjande både inom skolan och i hemmet.Resultatet visar att både elever och lärare är frekventa användare av datorer och kommunicerar via IKT i olika former. Båda grupperna är positiva till att i ökad grad kommunicera via IKT.
