The aim of this Master?s thesis is to study the relations between internal information and the principal business objectives in a knowledge organization. The questions are: how does the organization behave to its internal information resources, how is the information management related to the principal objectives and strategies, what information policy does the organization develop, and how is the management experienced by the employees. The purpose was to study the supply and management of information designed for internal use and the study was carried out with qualitative, semi-structured interviews to get a picture of the internal information management. The informants were mostly key persons with deep knowledge of internal information.

Bakgrund: Den oväntade döden medför svårare sorgeprocess än den väntade döden, ofta leder den till mer psykisk ohälsa jämfört med den väntade döden. Plötslig död är svår att inse och ta till sig. En traumatisk kris innebär att den drabbade individen behöver omedelbar hjälp med att organisera sitt liv. Syfte: Att belysa anhörigas behov och upplevelser av bemötande när deras närstående plötsligt avlider. Metod: Litteraturstudie bestående av 7 vetenskapliga artiklar med kvalitativ ansats. Artiklarna analyserades utifrån inspiration av Graneheim och Lundmans riktlinjer. Resultat: Resultatet visade att de anhöriga i hög utsträckning upplevde det emotionella stödet som gott i det akuta skedet.

Efter drygt trettio år av diskussioner och förhandlingar kunde enighet bland EUs medlemsländer uppnås och rättsakterna: förordningen om stadga för europabolag och det kompletterande direktivet om arbetstagarinflytande i europabolag antas den 8 oktober 2001. Då medlemsländerna ej kunde enas om att europabolagen endast skulle lyda under EUs lagar, överlämnades flertalet frågor att regleras via nationell rätt. Syftet med uppsatsen är att klargöra hur direktivet om arbetstagarinflytande i europabolag är utformat och hur detta överfördes till svensk rätt. Förutom det faktum att direktivet ej är skrivet på ett tillräckligt klart och tydligt sätt, framkommer även att utredarens betänkande var i behov av flertalet ändringar för att få samma innebörd som direktivet. Dock kvarstår viktiga och därmed oreglerade frågor i avvaktan på direktivets revidering.

The major aim of the thesis is to describe the networks, relations and marketing of some university libraries and their customers in the year 2000. I illustrate how these issues interact and whether they have changed due to the recent development of technology and if so, how. The thesis is based on interviews with two directors of libraries and two librarians at two different libraries. A small survey with 16 questionnaires has also been performed in order to get a more general view on librarians' opinions in these questions. The thesis mainly shows that the networks in which the respondents take part primarily exist in the library sphere and towards the universities.

Bakgrund: Det psykosociala stödet har stor betydelse för hur patienter med cancer klarar av sin sjukdom. Även om många botas från sin cancer bär de med sig erfarenheterna från sin sjukdomstid under resten av sitt liv. Det övergripande målet med psykosocial omvårdnad är att uppnå en högre livskvalitet för patienten. Författarna anknyter föreliggande studie till Cullberg kristeori. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att studera den psykosociala omvårdnadens betydelse for cancerpatientens livskvalitet.

There are lots of theories about participatory democracy, but rather few examples of how to create it in practice. In the 1930´s, scientists at the Chicago School, implemented some projects within the Chicago Area Project, with the aim to decrease the youth delinquency in the socio disadvantaged areas surrounding Chicago. In this thesis, I assess wether these projects, and in particular the one at the Russell Square Area, have some common features with the thoughts of two of the most famous participatory democrats, Carole Pateman and Benjamin Barber. My question is if the Chicago Area Project could be seen as an experiment in participatory democracy. I find that participatory democrats could benefit from the experiences of the Chicago Area Project.

The aim of this one-year master thesis in archival science was to examine how municipalities take regulations concerning public records into account when they use Facebook. Another aim was to examine the involvement of archivists, registrars or similar staff in the management of the regulations. Since Swedish archival theory and practice has a close connection to the application of these regulations, such an examination was hopefully going to reveal tendencies of importance for archival science. The method used to collect information was a web questionnaire and the result was based on answers from 21 municipalities with an official Facebook page. The questionnaire showed that six of the municipalities regarded documents originating from their Facebook page as public records.

The aim of this thesis is to study how librarians in Swedish libraries perceive the task of mediating fiction. What are the librarians private relationships to fiction and how do they perceive the position of fiction in contemporary society? What views have they developed of the borrowers approach to fiction and how do they perceive the borrowers increasing influence in the library? How do librarians prioritise and which principles form the basis for their purchase of fiction? How do they categorise fiction in the library and how much do economic and political factors influence the decision making process for the purchase of fiction? Finally, how do they define their roles as mediators of fiction and which strategies do they adopt to communicate which literature the library has to offer? The aim of this Bachelor?s thesis is to obtain understanding and knowledge about how literary scholars collaborate regarding information. Seven scholars have been studied in the aim to find out social and cultural elements which create particular prerequisites for their practice, with focus on information sharing. The method used has consisted of semi-structured interviews. The informants have been studied from a socio cultural and domain analysis starting point, which means that they are studied in the light of being members in their practice.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the benefit of information literacy instruction in two student groups at Kristianstad University, in relation to development of critical information literacy and within the boundaries of the educational goals. This study takes on a critical information literacy perspective that combines critical pedagogy and standards for information literacy in higher education. Two methods have been used for data collection: interviews and questionnaires. According to the results of the study the information literacy instruction provided by the Kristianstad University Library is important and useful for the students in their academic studies. It also becomes clear that the information literacy differs between the two groups as a consequence of the varying information literacy instruction received by the two groups.

This report is an attempt to clarify how religious and non-religious views-of-life [livsåskådningar] are created through the collaboration and opposition of religious and scientific elements/ideas. This with the hope of reaching a fruitful result related to the solution of world-view related conflicts, such as the ones existing between science and religion, on an individual and societal level.This is accomplished with the help of two assertions: (1) Mankind has a need to explain its existence and surroundings.
