Abstract In general, language is the key to the community, to self-sufficiency and independence. Being able to speak the Swedish language is a part of the community integration. Integration also has a practical aspect that includes everyday life and affects one's opportunities in the labor market. Therefore, we have selected in this paper to focus on the language and integration but inevitably we will also discuss the education you need on the labor market. The purpose of this study is to describe how the staffs at the Language Café Nobel works for an increased integration in Malmo, and examine the significance of Language Café Nobel have for their participants.

Stressrelaterad ohälsa är ett stort problem i dag, såväl för den drabbade individen, som dess närstående, samt även för samhället i stort. Föreliggande arbete sökte nå en djupare förståelse av en berättelse från en Informant, om vägen tillbaka till förvärvsarbete efter en längre tids sjukskrivning på grund av stressrelaterad ohälsa. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten för arbetet har varit den socialkonstruktionistiska, och det som i arbetet undersöktes var dels själva berättelsen till form och innehåll; dels vilken funktion den hade för jagberättaren och för den berättelsevärld där berättelsen är publicerad, på ett diskussionsforum på Internet. Verktyget för att nå djupare förståelse kring detta har varit den narrativa analysen. Via analysen framkom bland annat att temat för berättelsen var jagberättarens kamp mellan yttre/inre krav och de egna resurserna, samt att berättelsen hade en vårdande funktion dels för jagberättaren själv, dels för övriga aktörer i berättelsevärlden..

With inspiration from Bitzers situational analysis a phenomenografic method has been used, influenced by Brown & Levinsons´s theory of politeness, to find perceptions concerning constraints (in Bitzer´s sense in his model of the rhetorical situation) in Internet-based communication. Based on three qualitative interviews, this essay has found that the perceptions are closely linked to views of what constitutes formal and informal contexts, varying due to the gender or age of the Informant. Netspeak is not considered appropriate, with some exceptions, in any formal situation. However, the perceptions regarding decorum in informal situations differ in nature, based mainly on what kinds of associations and connotations are produced by elements found in netspeak. Since perceptions regarding informal situations vary, there is a large risk of misunderstanding, which this essay aims to survey..

Studien syftar till att undersöka hur det är att vara en garvare som arbetar med traditionella tekniker utifrån ett specifikt fall. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka hur det är att vara yrkesverksam garvare idag och hur garvaren ser på sin kunskap och sin verksamhet. Problemformulering:Vad innebär det att vara garvare och arbeta småskaligt och med traditionell tekniker?Vilka problem och utmaningar kan en garvare som arbetar småskaligt med traditionella tekniker mötas av?Hur hanterar garvaren dessa problem och utmaningarna?Arbetet har varit en kvalitativ fallstudie med metodologisk triangulering som kombinerar olika metoder så som observation, intervju, en text och film analys för att undersöka en och samma Informant. Informanten som har undersöks är en yrkesverksam garvare i Östergötland.

Denna rapport undersöker om olika gestaltningar av rumsklang ger högre gradperceptuellt realism med en visuell referens. Undersökningen baseras på denforskning inom rumsklang och perception av dessa som skett tidigare. I dessa fall utanen visuell referens. I detta fall undersöks gestaltningen som ges av konvolutionsreverb,fördröjningsnätsreverb och en kombination av dessa. För att undersöka detta skapadestre videoklipp med samma bild och samma ljudeffekter med skillnad i denreverbteknik som användes.

The change in the information society has affected the development of the labour market for information specialists and Informants as well as their roles. Companies are now aware of the fact that information specialists have a variety of important skills and competence that is important for them. The goal of this thesis is to see what defines an information specialist and an Informant and also to find out their situation on the labour market. The similarities and differences between the two professions will also be discussed in the thesis. The main method used is the investigation of the job advertisements in the journal DIK-forum from the year 2000 and year 2004.

With the starting point in UN peacekeeping operations, this essay investigates the participation of the Swedish armed forces and how the Swedish soldiers perceive their role in those operations. The aim of the study was to explore different perceptions about the Swedish soldiers in international operations. Partly from the Swedish soldiers perspective and how they perceived their own role as soldiers. Partly from the perspective of civilians, like Swedish aid workers, and how they perceive the Swedish soldiers. The third perspective was from a person with mixed experiences from both the military and the civilian work.

The aim of the study is to investigate attitudes about rapists and to determine whether it is felt that they need treatment, imprisonment or a combination of the two. The study examines differences in attitudes between two different educational groups. The first group of students is comprised of those studying on programs that lead to careers working with people, whilst the other contains students who will work in business administration. The investigation also includes views on which punishment alternative the Informants believed to be the most appropriate. The same differences are also investigated between gender and age.

This thesis examines trust on the web. W3C is a consortium of organisations focusing on development of standards for web publishing, and one of their projects within the semantic web track is web-based annotations. The purpose of the investigation at hand is to evaluate to what extent different factors are being considered when webbased information is judged, and whether web-based annotations could serve as a confidence-inspiring tool. The main research question was therefore: How do the Informants experience Annozilla as a possible confidence-inspiring tool? The empirical material consists of a case study with eight Informants.

Abstract Thou there are much written about management, are there, according to Mintzberg no simple definitions regarding how managers should operate towards other co-workers or employees. This essay outlines a perspective for study of managers, from an employees point of view. The study was preformed at one private company, and the empirical data was gathered from five employees. The methodological approach contained qualitative methods based on semi-structured interviews. By using this method, a deeper understanding regarding the questions was desired.

Aim: The aim of this essay is to study the communication strategy that the company SATS developed before taking over the company e2. The following questions are to be answered: - what was the planned communication strategy before taking over the company e2? - did SATS follow their original plan when implementing this strategy? ? Which strengths and weaknesses of the communication strategy can be identified based on opinions of the employees?Material/Method: Together with literature and document studies, a qualitative method has been used and seven personal interviews have been conducted. One Informant was selected due to professional position; the other six respondents were former employees of the affected company e2.Main results: The main results from the study show that the company SATS did in fact follow their plan very accurately with only some minor changes such as an earlier started education program and exclusion of an initially planned evaluation activity. Communication about the takeover of e2 to employees was quick and clear.

When going through a stem cell transplantation a patient is forced to undergo protective isolation to inhibit risk of opportunistic infections related to the low leucocyte count as a result of aggressive pre-transplant chemotherapy treatment. Protective isolation has shown to have an impact on patient experiences during treatment and the aim of this study is to elucidate experiences of protective isolation of patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and to deduce patient perceptions of the role of nurses in protective isolation care. The presented study was performed as a mixed qualitative and quantitative survey at a hematopoietic ward in Sweden. Results were analyzed by Mayring (2000) and by descriptive frequency charts and show that patients in protective isolation experience alienation, necessity, safety and anxiety with regards to their protective situation. Considering the role of nurses patients perceive their role to be attendant, Informant and acting as an executioner of medical implementations.
