Prisons are for many an unknown world, and few know about the prison culture which includes unwritten rules, power structures, interactions and relationships between inmates and correctional employees.While many think that Swedish prisons are too comfortable,inmates are facing extreme stress due to surveillance and detention, by depriving inmates their possibility to shape their own lives. When the inmates is deprived of control over their own life?s the penal system have great power to shape and to influence the inmates.The purpose of this paper is to investigate prisoners' experiences of treatment and exercise of power in prisons. Starting point is to examine what are the kinds of relationships between prison officers and inmates from a power perspective, if there is any difference between the closed and open prisons and how the inmates affected by the structures that exist.Based on my overall purpose, and with my Informant´s stories which revealed a number of similar points, four main headings were developed; Mass media and society´s view, and unknown world, interaction between inmates and prison officers and consequences.Prison officers with the role as a contact persons as well and other staff which work close to the inmates play a significant role by supporting through motivational interviewing and can help the inmates to gain insight about their life situation and actions. My Informant?s underlined that a good contact person can either help or discourage.Inmates who contributed with their experiences express that there is a big difference between open-and closed prisons.

In the pilot study for a biography, some of the methodological and/or theoretical problems facing the anthropologist and biographer are discussed.The empirical section is based on a number of interviews I made with my grandmother over the period 1995-2001. I have come across inconsistencies in the material when rendering a historical event. Furthermore, the material makes me reflect on how the biographer or anthropologist is able to handle or interpret that she and the subject/Informant has a different attitude to metaphors and how the metaphors can change over time, space and interpretation.The essay begins with a summary review of some of the central social and behavioural scientific theories that can be related to the individual and the biography.There then follows an in-depth discussion based on Paul Ricoeur's philosophy that says that your identity is created in relation to how you look at your history and future at the present time. Identities are created in an interaction between the field we are currently in, the cultural capital that includes gestures, mannerisms, symbols, our language and the area of interpretation the field allows in the culture. Consequently, the biography is also a representation that is created in time and space and between the subject and the person rendering the subject.The biography or ethnography is transient and is of necessity a historiography.Ricoeur talks about the living metaphor.

The purpose of the study is to investigate into professional knowledge of the bilingual teachers, compared to monolingual, and what benefits they give to pre-school. Qualitative method was used to get an understanding of Informant´s perspective on bilingual teachers. The Informants believe that bilingual teachers are able to understand all the children. A bilingual teacher can make the children feel secure. If one has a positive attitude toward bilingualism, the bilingual children also show a positive attitude that in turn contributes to learning and development of the language..

Rapporten handlar om rörelsehindrades studie- och yrkesval och deras erfarenheter av studie- och yrkesvägledningen under studieåren. Undersökningens syfte är att visa på om respondenterna utsatts för ?cooling down? av sina studie- och yrkesvägledare. Den har genomförts medelst nio intervjuer med unga rörelsehindrade personer. Intervjuerna har analyserats med två kvalitativa analysmetoder, meningskoncentrering och dikotomi.

SammanfattningStudien syfte är att undersöka hur en elev som har haft stödinsatser från socialtjänsten har upplevt sin skolgång. Utifrån mitt syfte har jag utgått från frågeställningarna: Hur beskriver Informanten de omständigheter/faktorer som har påverkat hennes självbild/lärandeidentitet i skolåldern? Vilken bild av skolan som en plats för lärande/social arena träder fram i elevens berättelse och vad blir dess eventuella betydelse för utformningen av en pedagogisk praktik?Studiens teoretiska ansats är socialkonstruktionism och stämplingsteori. Genom den teoretiska ansatsen har jag kunnat undersöka hur en människa formar sin identitet och självbild i förhållande till samhället och i relationer med andra människor.Som metod användes livshistorieintervjun eftersom jag ville ta del av vad en elev har för någon förståelse av sig själv och den sociala värld den lever i. Elevens berättande har varit i fokus, men berättelsen kan också ses som samproducerad eftersom den har växt fram i dialog mellan mig som intervjuare och min Informant.Mitt resultat visar att relationer med lärare, andra vuxna i skolan och klasskamrater spelar stor roll för hur en elev i samhällsvård formar sin identitet och sin bild av sig själv både i sociala situationer och i den pedagogiska praktiken.

Det svenska förarprovet har vuxit fram ur praktisk yrkeserfarenhet. Oavsett vilken trafikinspektör som bedömer ett specifikt körprov ska bedömningen göras lika. Kognitiva egenskaper bedöms i körprovet genom att observera handlingar och beteenden. Syftet med denna uppsats var att ur ett teoretiskt perspektiv undersöka hur trafikinspektörer bedömer kognition, för att undersöka vilka likheter och skillnader som finns. Tre analyser gjordes utifrån tolv intervjuer med trafikinspektörer vid två av Vägverkets förarprovskontor.Trafikinspektörerna ombads beskriva vad som är viktigt hos en bilförare.

I denna branschstudie gällande livsmedelsbutiker, kommer vi att beröra hur butiker kan marknadsföra sig samt vilka faktorer som spelar störst roll vid kundernas val av butik. För att kunna klargöra detta, kommer vi att använda oss av teorier så som Porters fem konkurrenskrafter samt vissa skolformer utifrån boken Marketing Theory av Jagdish N. Sheth, David M. Gardner och Dennis E. Garret.

Syftet med vår uppsats var att undersöka motståndet mot jämställdhetsarbetet i förskolan samtatt lokalisera dess ursprung. Detta har vi undersökt med hjälp av följandeproblemformuleringar: varför fungerar inte jämställdhetsarbetet i förskolan, vad finns det förmotstånd och var finns det främsta motståndet? Uppsatsens teoretiska ram är hämtad ifrånMichel Foucaults teori om makt och motstånd, R. W Connells genusteori och Naila Kabeersteori om empowermentbegreppet. Den här uppsatsen undersöker frågeställningen Hur kan ett bra ledarskap vid slutskeden av en skolteaterproduktion på gymnasienivå med konstnärlig ambition beskrivas och förstås? Forskningen sker utifrån en hermeneutisk ansats.
