Syftet med föreliggande uppsats var att undersöka vad inaktiva högstadieelever själva tror skulle kunna vara betydelsefulla faktorer för att påbörja och vidmakthålla fysisk aktivitet. 160 högstadielever fyllde i en enkät varpå 71 elever som hamnade under de allmänna rekommendationerna för fysisk aktivitet fick fylla i en andra utförligare enkät. Data från 29 elever som i den andra enkäten angav att de var aktiva en gång i veckan eller mindre bearbetades och låg till grund för en tredje fas där 18 av dem slumpmässigt valdes ut och undersöktes med fokuserad gruppintervju som metod. Fokusgruppsresultaten visade att eleverna bland annat lyfte fram det första intrycket, ledaregenskaper, gruppindelning, social kontakt, tidiga framsteg och ovanliga aktiviteter som betydelsefulla faktorer. Resultaten ansågs vara tillämpbara på projekt som syftar till att aktivera otillräckligt aktiva högstadielever..

The aim of the present study is to describe the experiences of high school students as regards the effects of their activities, in and out of lessons, being published on the web. In addition, a further purpose is to acquire knowledge about whether a website could be used as means of increasing the students level of attention, and focus, to their activities in school; and, furthermore, how such a website should be designed to correspond with the students requests.The implemented methods are interviews with students, school administrators and teachers. A survey was conducted covering the student?s personal experiences and opinions. Furthermore, an interface test of the website was performed.

The aim of this study is to explore the fundaments of all psychoanalytic interpretative models, and especially the psychoanalytic literary criticism. Drawing from different fields as affect theory, neuropsychology and Lacan's structural psychoanalysis, strong evidence is found that language in itself contains and transmits affects.The empiric study indicates that different readers of a text, regardless of their interpretation of the text, show similar changes in mood as a function of the text. This seems to be possible as an effect of the separation of the sign between the signifier and the signification. And this supports that the signifier has some kind of direct access to the affects. This is due to the fact that the signifier belongs to the imaginary protolinguistic level while the signification belongs to the symbolic and linguistic level of a higher order.

By studying literature concerning design, didactics and reflection, and complementing those explorations with interviews with experienced design educators, this thesis challenges the idea of aesthetic media education being purely aesthetic in its characteristics. Drawing from their own experiences as a media aesthetics educator and an industrial designer, the two authors argue that the work flow used within most fields of design, commonly known as the design process, might provide a suitable didactic alternative to a field of education lacking relevant methodology. The literature study offers a better understanding of the design process and how it may be defined and viewed within an educational context. The interviews provide a more practical insight into the world of design education. The result shows that the design process as a didactical method theoretically offers both elements of critical thinking as well as direction and frames for students lacking aesthetic and artistic experience.

Syftet med den här undersökningen är att studera vilken relation som finns mellan sammanhållning och motivation, prestation och kommunikation i en arbetsgrupp. För att undersöka detta har vi utgått ifrån två frågeställningar: vilken relation finns mellan gruppsammanhållningen och individens upplevelse av prestation och motivation i ett IT-företag? och vilken relation finns mellan gruppsammanhållning och kommunikation? Vi har svarat på våra frågeställningar utifrån nio semistrukturerade intervjuer gjorda i en arbetsgrupp på företaget Hewlett-Packard (HP) i Göteborg. Resultatet vi har fått fram genom intervjuerna har sedan analyserats utifrån relevanta, socialpsykologiska teorier och vi har i vår uppsats kommit fram till att sammanhållningen i stor utsträckning påverkar de enskilda individernas motivation, prestation och kommunikation. This essay intervenes in the politics of urban segregation in Stockholm. The main aim of the essay is to analyze and describe how advanced marginality and territorial stigmatization are expressed in the lived experiences of four unemployed youths, that have participated in a labor market training program located in the ?social vulnerable? area Rågsved. With a theoretical framework based in Henri Lefebvre?s production of social space the empirical findings are interpreted in regard to how the youths produce social space in dialectical interplay with urban politics, advanced marginality, territorial stigmatization, and their local neighborhood.

This thesis is based on an assignment from a unit within an international group manufacturing industrial products. The purpose of the thesis is to analyze and suggest ways to improve the cost accounting system in use at the unit. The main source of empirical data has been interviews with employees. The theoretical framework is based on a comparison between traditional/standard costing and activity-based costing (ABC). The cost accounting system in use is described in detail and classified as a traditional/standard cost accounting system.

Purpose: The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate how a pricing capability can be developed on a general as well as on a practical level in an industrial company working on the international business-to-business market. Methodology: We have conducted a case study of the work on pricing at Triton. After mapping the events we have evaluated the results. We have conducted interviews with people with information concerning Tritons work in the Pricing area. Theoretical perspectives: The theory includes organization and structure, pricing for the market with emphasis on transactions and theories on how to understand the customer.

The aim of this study was to develop, implement and evaluate a mindfulness- and acceptance-based smoking cessation program in group (MRG). MRG was developed into an intervention consisting of 6 group sessions during 35 days including individual homework assignments. 8 of 10 participants completed the program. In order to evaluate the effect of MRG a quasi-experimental design with pretest and double posttest (second posttest at 1 month) was chosen. At second posttest, 50 percent (of 8 completers) were non-smokers, and the rest showed a decrease in smoking at a rate between 45 and 75 percent.

Man har i olika undersökningar kunnat visa att husdjur har en positiv effekt på människans fysiska och psykiska välbefinnande och att djuret höjer livskvaliteten för många (Enders-Slegers, Paul, Podberseck, Serpell, 2000). I denna uppsats undersöks sociala relationer och livstillfredsställelse hos äldre personer med och utan husdjur. Finns det något samband mellan ägande av husdjur, livstillfredsställelse och sociala relationer? Är äldre personer med husdjur mer nöjda med sina sociala relationer samt mer tillfreds med livet än äldre personer utan husdjur? Känner sig äldre människor med husdjur mindre ensamma än de som inte har husdjur? Kan man se någon skillnad mellan män och kvinnor?.

The purpose of this study in the psychology of religion is to explore the process of an individual?s shift in orienting system, from a religious to an atheistic. The materials used are autobiographical accounts obtained from two books. One that has been used as a primary source and one as a secondary. By using Rambo?s process oriented theory of religious conversion relevant themes and categories were chosen and later subjected to further analysis using Pargament?s theory of religion and coping.

IKEA HaparandaTornio employ some two-hundred people in its furniture retail store.Keeping track of staff statistics and employee information has previously been achievedthrough the use of a basic Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet. The store?s human resourcesdepartment requested an upgrade to this system with the hope of speeding up andsimplifying the administrative process, as well as to make it easier to monitor HR-relatedtarget statistics. The following report documents the development process of that upgrade ascarried out by the author. The project draws on research in usability design and cognitivepsychology to develop a user-friendly interface.

The main purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the experience of art students and their attitudes and use of information during the last years of their Master?s degree. I also examine their opinions about the art education in general. The theoretical framework encompasses a sociocultural approach within the field of psychology-pedagogy and library- as well as information science. The empirical material has been collected through qualitative interviews with seven students studying at an art school in Sweden.
