Denna C-uppsats är en litteraturstudie, en forskningsöversikt över ämnet socialisering till lärare.  Syftet med studien var att besvara tre frågor (a) Vad är yrkessocialisering till lärare och hur går den till? (b) Hur kan yrkessocialisering till lärare mätas och undersökas? (c) Hur har detta mätts tidigare och vad har man kommit fram till?Litteraturstudien bygger på en analys av nio vetenskapliga artiklar som alla handlar om lärares yrkessocialisering. Studien visade att lärare skapar sina yrkesidentiteter genom att använda sig av olika metoder, till exempel reflekterande samtal. Den blivande lärarens uppväxt och egen skolgång har betydelse för att de väljer att bli lärare. Lärarutbildningen, den första arbetsplatsen och de första kollegorna har också påverkat individerna i deras yrkessocialisering.Eftersom socialisationsprocesser är mycket komplicerade företeelser var inte syftet att ge någon exakt förklaring till hur socialisation går till utan snarare att ge exempel på olika sätt att mäta och redogöra för hur olika delar av yrkessocialisationsprocessen till lärare kan se ut.Till denna studie valdes nio artiklar, de lästes igenom och viktiga partier markerades.
