The concept of the work-first principle (arbetslinjen) might be considered old, but still serves as the main principle as well as an instrument in the Swedish labour market and social policy today. The original idea was that work and willingness to work was to be rewarded, especially due to a common opposition against the passive receipt of grants. The general definition of work, today, is that it is something desirable that should be achieved and that unemployed primarily will be offered training or work rather than grants and subsidies. When the Moderate party re-launched themselves as Sweden's "workers' party of today", in the beginning of the 2000's, the concept was brought back into the spotlight. In the elections of 2006 and 2010, the labour market was widely debated and become a controversial issue, with the concept of the work-first principle playing a major role.The purpose of this thesis is to analyse and problematize how the concept was presented and explained in the nationwide newspapers Aftonbladet and Svenska Dagbladet during the 2010 elections, this in order to increase the understanding of the concept?s contemporary definition and policy implications.

Mannens roll och behov nämns inte alls.Syfte: Att belysa kvinnors och mäns upplevelser och behov av stöd under abortprocessen.Metod: En systematisk litteraturstudie med 16 vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades och kvalitetsgranskades.Resultat: Litteraturstudien visade på abortupplevelsen som en jobbig period i livet men det resulterade även i en beslutsamhet och mognad.Diskussion: Resultatet tyder på att det är nödvändigt att få en ökad förståelse för den individuella vårdtagarens behov och förväntningar av vården och behandlingen. För att få en förståelse för mångsidigheten i abortsituationen bör man synliggöra både mannens och kvinnans delaktighet.Konklusion: Männens upplevelser av abortprocessen är föga outforskade. Sjuksköterskans roll i processen är betydelsefull och därför är det oerhört viktigt att personalen innehar kunskap och intresse att kunna bemöta dessa patienter..

Hartz-reformen inleddes 2003 och förändrade mycket i den aktiva arbetsmarknadspolitiken och systemet för den ekonomiska ersättningen vid arbetslöshet stramades till stor del åt. Många regleringar rörande låginkomsttagare skrevs om och hela arbetsmarknaden verkade vändas upp och ner. Innan den ekonomiska krisen slog till i Europa var Tyskland ett land med hög arbetslöshet och statistiken såg inte alls bra ut. Detta examensarbete är utfört hos Swisslog under våren 2013. De hade problem med den manuella styrningen av deras pallstaplingskran för höglager, som upplevdes ryckig och svår att kontrollera vid låga hastigheter.Huvudsyftet var att undersöka varför detta fenomen uppstod och hur det kunde lösas med både hård- och mjukvarumässiga metoder. Det innebär att konstruktionens acceleration matas genom operatörens kropp och skapar en återkoppling till styrdonet, i detta fall en joystick. Operatörens hand ger en oavsiktlig störsignal som gör systemet instabilt som i sin tur skapar en oscillation som ökar i amplitud och är svår eller omöjlig att stoppa.Den föreslagna lösningen är att digitalt lågpassfiltrera styrsignalen från joysticken.

Background: Many different parties in the society are affected by the financial information delivered by the companies. Therefore, different interests want their ideas to have an impact on the accountning standards. The construction of the accounting standards are illustrated as a pure political process, where lobbying and conflicts of interest are determining factors. Purpose: The purpose is to understand the underlying interests behind regulation of financial accounting in Sweden and how these interests are manifestated in the establishment of accounting standards. Method: The thesis is designed as a casestudy of the regulation process which induced the legislation of the Årsredovisningslagen 6 kap 1 § 3st.

Skiascopy, also called retinoscopy, is a method for determining the refractive power of the eye. There are only a few, old studies made on equine refraction. The aim of this study was to investigate the refractive power in a population of Swedish horses. The study consists of a review of relevant studies done on animals and an experimental part where the refractive power of 93 horses of different age, breed and usage was examined. A pilot study of 12 horses was performed regarding the importance of cycloplegia when doing skiascopy on horses. The results of the pilot study show no significant difference in the skiascopy results between the group before and after cycloplegia were induced. Consequently, there is no need of inducing cycloplegia before doing skiascopy in adult horses. The study shows that horses usually were emmetropic (normally sighted) with minor deviations toward myopia or hyperopia.

Idag utförs många röntgenundersökningar med hjälp av kontrastmedel, det kan dock leda till kontrastmedelsinducerad nefropati (KMN). Natriumbikarbonat har visat sig kunna vara ett lämpligt hydreringsalternativ mot KMN. Vårt syfte med denna studie var att undersöka om natriumbikarbonat är ett bättre hydreringsalternativ jämfört med natriumklorid som profylax mot KMN för patienter med nedsatt njurfunktion. Vi formulerade tre olika frågeställningar utifrån vårt syfte. Litteraturstudien innefattar 21 vetenskapliga artiklar som vi funnit genom sökningar i olika databaser.

Laminitis is a debilitating disease causing much suffering to horses and ponies all over the world. It is manifested in the hooves as a mechanical failure of the suspensory apparatus between the hoof capsule and the distal phalanx. Due to the weight of the horse the disease may result in a dislocation of third phalanx. Six healthy standardbred trotters were used in this study on whether standardbreds tolerate forced recumbency as well as Shetland ponies. Recumbency was induced pharmacologically but maintained only by lowering the ceiling height of the box to a height of approximately 125 ? 140 % of the horse´s thoracic height.

Purpose: To examine the hearing environment for tattoo artists regarding occupational noiseand to see whether tattoo artists are exposed to hazardous noise according to Swedish WorkEnvironment Authority regulations. Method: Using a dosimeter we measured a total ofseven sessions of approximately one hour on seven different subjects, located on five studiosin Gothenburg. As a complement we did also hand out surveys based on twelve questions toexamine habits, experienced sound environment and to see if there were any hearing relatedpatterns. Results:. Sound level measurements showed that the lower exposure action valueLpAeq,8h 80 dB(A) in one case was reached if applied to the average working time of sixhours.

Sweden became a member of the European Union in 1995. Consequently Sweden became obligated to implement the Working Time Directive 2003/88/EC (formerly termed 93/104/EC). At that time Sweden considered that their legislation already gave their employees as high level of protection as the directive prescribed. Instead they decided upon an adjustment of the collective agreements concerning working time. A particular EC-restriction was incorporated in the Working Hours Act (SFS 1982:673).
