Polismyndigheten har som organisation genomgått stora förändringar. För att möta dessa förändringar startade Polismyndigheten i Skåne 1997 ett arbetsrotationsprogram, vilket i kombination med andra kompetensutvecklings-åtgärder syftade till att skapa en lärande organisation. Tanken var att deltagarna i programmet skulle få nya kunskaper och att de skulle sprida sin kunskap och kompetens inom organisationen. Syfte med uppsatsen är att genom en målfri effekt-utvärdering studera vilka effekter som Arbetsrotations-programmet har inneburit för individen och för organisationen. För att besvara syftet har vi med en abduktiv ansats genomfört en kvalitativ empirisk undersökning med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer.

The purpose of this essay is to explore how students in secondary school seek out and use information. More specifically, the essay examines how the search and use of information differs between students working in groups and students working independently. The essay draws on in-depth interviews with six students. Two different theories are used to analyse the transcripts from the interviews. The first theory consists of Carol Kuhlthau?s six different stages showing how the students? feelings, emotions and actions change during the information seeking process.

Defining the concept of information has long been the subject of debate within Information Science (IS) and new challenges are constantly presented by new scientific discoveries and new theoretical positions. It is, nevertheless, of key importance for any academic discipline to find definitions on which there is a consensus. The paper therefore aims to clarify the relevance of one of these new theoretical approaches for IS, namely poststructuralism. It does so by describing the theories found in the writings of poststructuralists Mark C. Taylor, Jacques Derrida and Michel Foucault, and discussing their relevance for the three definitions of information suggested by Michael Buckland (Information-as-knowledge, Information-as thing and Information-as-process), thereby answering the following questions: What relevance does Mark C.

Denna uppsats undersöker Clas Ohlsons kommunikativa budskap i utvalda reklamfilmer som visats på brittiskt TV. Med utgångspunkt i teorier rörande kultur och standardiserad eller anpassad marknadskommunikation på en global marknad, syftar uppsatsen till att komma närmare ett svar huruvida Clas Ohlsons reklambudskap i form av TV-reklamfilmer är tillräckligt tydliga för den relativt nya marknaden Storbritannien, eller om det faktum att de är översatta kopior av de svenska versionerna, kan ha bidragit till den uteblivna framgångssagan.Genom en semiotisk analys undersöks de två huvudsakliga reklamfilmerna för Clas Ohlson som förekommit på brittisk TV sedan starten. Analysen visar tydliga kulturellt betingade drag från den svenska kulturen i båda filmerna, något som leder till diskussionen huruvida reklamfilmerna är tillräckligt uttryckliga för att budskapet ska nå fram till den brittiske konsumenten. Gemensamt för de båda filmerna är även att de fokuserar främst på historien och värderingarna hos företaget och saknar ett tydligt produktfokus. Runt detta diskuteras därefter frågan huruvida detta är det bästa sättet att skapa ett intresse och vidare framgångar på en ny marknad.

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate on what perspective or perspectives university teachers and librarians at a medium-sized university in Sweden base their view on information literacy. More specifically, how do the respondents view their own information literacy and what opinions they have of their students? information literacy as professionals. Three perspectives are used to interpret the results, the sociocultural perspective, the phenomenographical perspective and the behavioristic perspective.The method used is semi structured interviews with three university teachers and three librarians.Both librarians and teachers emphasize the importance of information literacy, for themselves as well as for students. The information literacy of the librarians involves being well acquainted with the subjects of the students.

Att jobba som distriktssköterska innebär ett mycket brett arbetsfält med stort kontaktnät. Syftet med denna studie var att ta reda på om distriktssköterskor upplever stress i sitt arbete med fokus på hur den yttrar sig och hanteras. Resultatet av vår studie visar att stress som beror på känslor av krav och otillräcklighet är vanligt förekommande. Det tycks yttra sig både fysiskt och psykiskt i huvudvärk, trötthet samt magproblem. Genom stöd från kollegor, gemenskap med andra och motion hanteras stressen individuellt..

This Masters thesis in Library and Information Science has the title The New Information Desks at Malmö Public Library . During the rebuilding of the library in Malmö a new information desk was developed. This desk differs to a great extent from conventional information desks used in libraries. The information desk is triangular with rounded edges which allows the librarian and the user of the library to work side by side without any physical barriers. The aim of this thesis is to explore the requirements for the information desks formulated by the library and how they are perceived by the librarians and the users of the library.

En metastudie som använder sig av en specifikt anpassad tolkning av grounded theory för att undersöka The Daily Shows satiriska kritik och funktion, samt hur detta relaterar till det sociologiska perspektivet. Fynden visar på en problematik som väl överrensstämmer med mer allmänna sociologiska teorier hos Foucault, Bourdieu och Habermas. Satiren visar sig utöva en serie meningsfulla funktioner som har potential att verka som en populistisk samhällskritik med stort inflytande. Satiren visar sig dock inte vara en problemfri diskurs och ett antal problem identifieras som behöver adresseras för att diskursen ska kunna åberopa någon form av legitimitet..

Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur sjuksköterskan upplever sin roll, orsaker till och hantering av konflikter som kan uppstå, i kontakten med anhöriga till patienter på äldreboende. Designen är deskriptiv och bygger på individuellt genomförda intervjuer.Som urvalsmetod användes ett bekvämlighetsurval. Urvalsgruppen bestod av nio sjuksköterskor, varav två togs bort i efterhand då de intervjuades samtidigt. Kvar blev sju sjuksköterskor (sex kvinnor, en man), verksamma på var sitt äldreboende i en kommun i södra Norrland.För att förebygga och hantera konflikter med anhöriga är det viktigaste i sjuksköterskans roll att ha täta kontakter, stor förståelse, god information och en bra dialog. Genom att skapa trygghet, bl a via en bra första kontakt och att låta anhöriga bidra med sina kunskaper och känna sig delaktiga får sjuksköterskan anhöriga med sig.

In a complex and turbulent world, several companies begin to realize the value of information as a strategic resource and try to find strategies to manage this. This master thesis aims to describe the information management at Axis Communications AB. Axis is a fast growing company and due to this they have not been able to manage the flow of information whitin the company. To find out how the information was managed at this time we made a survey and employee interviews at three Axis business units. By analyzing the surveys and interviews we found several problems.

In supporting an efficient way to gather and develop contact information for the Uppsala Association of Technology Physicist alumni, it is crucial to have in place an adequate and user-friendly system allowing the continuous collection and storage of such contact information. This can achieved by the creation of a website where alumni can enter information about themselves and where such information in turn is stored in a database. A database containing relevant tables has been developed in MySQL. In utilizing phpMyAdmin, the programming language PHP and Web Server Apache, a fully functional website to be included on the Association's website has been created..

The thesis aims at, from a user perspective, examining how a group of industrial researchers understand the information seeking in their every day work. A qualitative method is employed. The empirical material consists of open-ended interviews with in all ten researchers. All of them work at the Swiss-Swedish Technology Company ABB's research laboratory in Västerås. The thesis is based on the opinion that the scientific knowledge production has become commercialised and that the scientific communication is going through certain changes.

Purpose?This study has examined the information behaviour and perception of information in a group ofinformation users who have a critical approach to the media and the information supply. Some of them call themselvesor are being called conspiracy theorists. The purpose was to examine how their information behaviour is influenced by the belief that the information is biased or inaccurate and what the information behaviour looks like when the user searches for discrepancies rather than a response to a question.Method?The study is based on transcribed interviews and email responses to interview questions.

Syftet med detta arbete har varit att skapa en folder om den ideella verksamheten på Djurskyddet Eskilstuna för att mottagaren ska förstå hur de kan hjälpa de hemlösa katterna. Jag inledde mitt arbete med att analysera andra katthems foldrar för att undersöka hur lättlästa de är, hur tilltalet är och hur deras foldrar kan påverka läsarens uppfattning av deras verksamhet. Jag har använt mig av teorier om ideellt arbete, motivation, retorik, lättläst, stilistik och grafisk form vid framställningen. För att se hur uppfattningen av en folder är har jag utprovat den på personer ur målgruppen. Foldern användes även under ett event med Djurskyddet Eskilstuna i slutet av april för att se om den skulle fungera i praktiken. Genom teori och empiri fann jag att en folder om Djurskyddet Eskilstuna bör vara lättläst genom underrubriker, enkla bilder och vanliga ord.

The numbers of mergers and acquisitions have increased significantly in the last period of time. Although this popularity for mergers and acquisitions, most of the mergers and acquisitions fail to create value. One explanation to this failure of value creation is, according to several studies, how companies treat integration of information systems in the pre-merger evaluation. The research within the field argues that information system integration should have a proactive role in mergers and acquisitions, meaning that information system integration should support the organizational change and normally be considered in the premerger evaluation. The aim of this thesis is to study issues that affect whether companies choose to consider information system integration proactively, when involved in mergers and acquisitions.
