Glycemic control is known to be important but other factors ought to be considered. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe how individual self-management influences the general wellbeing among adult diabetic patients. Den heta debatt som pågår om det individuella programmets vara eller inte vara var ännu ett skäl för mig att lyfta ämnet. Syftet med det här examensarbetet var att undersöka om det individuella programmet hade en större betydelse för eleverna som gick där än att bara läsa upp sina betyg. Jag ville även undersöka vad dessa elever hade för erfarenhet av sina tre år på högstadiet samt hur lärarna på det individuella programmet såg på sin lärarroll.

The aim of this study is to describe the variation in two teachers perceptions of their work with individual developments. The study begins with a review of the Swedish National Agency for Education?s guidelines for working with individual developments. With this I want to give the reader an insight into the teachers working conditions and the responsibilities the school authorities have against their students. Using phenomenography, I have examined the differences between two mathematic teacher?s perceptions in working with individual developments for student?s in need of special education.   My questions are: How do mathemathic teachers perceive their work with individual developments? What support and what information do the teacher?s feel that they have been given in order to use individual developments as a tool? How do the teachers perceive that their work situation has influenced their work with individual developments? The two teachers I have interviewed showed different perceptions both in how they understood the guidelines for working with individual developments and how they chose to work with them.

Electrooculogram (EOG) data was used to develop, adjust and validate a method for drowsiness detection in drivers. The drowsiness detection was based on changes in blink behaviour and classification was made on a four graded scale. The purpose was to detect early signs of drowsiness in order to warn a driver. MATLAB was used for implementation. For adjustment and validatation, two different reference measures were used; driver reported ratings of drowsiness and an electroencephalogram (EEG) based scoring scale.

Secondary schools have for decades debated whether they promote social reproduction which is considered to generate the homogeneous student compositions. The gap between the academic programs and vocational education programs is considered to increase. This paper's intention is to describe the science program at a local level and the pupils who were admitted to the science program autumn 2009 on the basis of an educational sociological perspective. The survey consisted of a census in which all students were given the opportunity to answer a questionnaire.

Utbildning blir allt viktigare. För dem som saknar en gymnasial utbildning har det blivit svårareatt få ett jobb. Läsåret 2009/2010 var 88,2 procent behöriga till gymnasieskolans nationellaprogram. För den som är obehörig är Individuella programmet ett alternativ, där elever under ettår kan skaffa sig behörighet. Det har visat sig att elever som går ett år på det Individuellaprogrammet (IV) och sedan studerar på ett nationellt program i högre grad än andra, görstudieavbrott.
