Ledarskap inom ramen för ett systemutvecklingsprojekt - fokus på en arbetsprocess med stöd i Vattenfallsmodellen
Many research reports mention the fact that a huge number of all system
development projects never reach a successful ending; with other words never
fulfil formulated goals. By identifying and forming success factors (and in
some aspect risk factors) that the project manager in practice can use, this
study may be seen as a step in the direction towards minimising the high number
of failed system development projects.
The purpose of this research report is to investigate how a system development
project, where the development process is based on a specific development or
process model (in this case the Waterfall model), can and should be driven. I
aim to clarify what is demanded of a project leader for the specific
development process and give an account for which eventual leadership qualities
that can be well suited for given situation in relation to the need for
technical competence.
Among other things the project manager should inspire confidence, drive, be a
decision maker, engage and own some form of basic knowledge in the field of
system development.

Studien är gjord för att öppna upp för användarmedverkan i designprocessen inom spelutveckling i försök att minska det antal avbrutna projekt som föreligger idag. Spelutveckling involverar för närvarande användaren sparsamt i utvecklings- processen. För att öka graden av involvering valde vi att kombinera participativ design och personas till en processbaserad arbetsmodell att undersöka. Vi beslutade oss för användning av personas eftersom fysisk användarinvolvering ej var möjlig i de inledande faserna av utvecklingsprocessen. Grunden till arbetsmodellen lades genom en litteraturstudie som sedan diskuterades i ett antal expertintervjuer.

The purpose with this study is to examine what kind of support there is for school libraries at the selected independent upper secondary schools and how these schools ensure that libraryservices is available to their students and their teachers. The purpose is also to examine what attitudes the administrators of the schools have to school libraries and teaching in information seeking. A qualitative method with interviews was used to fulfil the purpose. As a theoretical basis of the study Loertschers taxonomies of the school library media program and Limbergs three levels of pedagogic research were used and the interviews were analysed with these two theoretical frameworks as a background. The result of the study showed that neither one of the three examinated schools has a school library which means that they use the public library instead.

Hållbar utveckling : Begreppets utveckling och användning på kommunal nivå
This thesis concerns how local governments use the concept sustainable development, and what the concept means. The concept of Agenda 21 and local Agenda 21 will also be discussed in this essay, because it's an instrument for local governments to specify their work towards sustainable development. I have interviewed civil servants in leading positions in the municipalities? work with environmental questions and sustainable development. In the choice of method for this thesis, I use the qualitative method and for the interviews I chose the ?semi structure way of interviewing?.This thesis shows that local governments? implementation of sustainable development and Agenda 21 differ between the municipalities.

Uppsala universitet The aim of this master?s thesis is to investigate, through text analysis, the role of copyright in development, with particular interest of how the concepts knowledge and access to knowledge are used in Access to Knowledge Draft Treaty and WIPO Development Agenda. The definition of the concept knowledge, as it is used in copyright, is based in a Western historical and philosophical context and therefore excludes knowledge created in another type of society. The consequences of this exclusion have effects on development. Further it is stated that knowledge according to the global copyright scheme will be reduced to a commodity, which will have consequences not only in societies in the global South.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how the portrayal of the Disney princesses have changed over time, we looked at eleven movies with a total of twelve different princesses. We wanted to see if there were any stereotypical roles of women in Disney movies and we wanted to see when the most obvious change occured in the portrayal of the princesses. This paper has used the method of qualitative content analysis using a semiotic and narrative analysis with the help of the actant model. We have selected different characteristics and categories that we looked for in the movies. These features and categories include various stereotypical roles of characters and what chores the princesses perform in their homes.
Jämförelse mellan neurala nätverk baserad AI och state-of-the-art AI i racing spel
Denna rapport jämför prestandan mellan state-of-the-art AI-botar i racing
spelet TORCS och en AI-bot
som kör med hjälp av ett artificiellt neuralt nätverk (ANN-bot). ANN-boten, som
implementerades som
en del av arbetet, använder en feedforward arkitektur och backpropagation för
inlärning. Ett separat
program som användes för att träna det neurala nätverket med träningdata som
spelats in från TORCS
implementerades också. Som state-of-the-art AI-botar användes AI-botar som har
använts i en tävling.
De fyra AI-botarna testades på åtta olika banor och data om hur lång tid varje
varv tog och hur snabbt
AI-botarna körde sparades och sammanställdes. Resultaten visar att på banorna
som ANN-boten klarar
av att köra runt så är ANN-boten snabbare än en den långsamaste
state-of-the-art boten, men ANNboten
klara inte av majoriteten av banorna som den testades på.

The universities around the country are increasingly committed to attract students among this group. Many of investments and researches have been done to explore new approaches. There is need to understand how students evaluate their choices. These studies will help marketing the educations which are more responsive to student's expectations.
Evertiles - All you need is tiles!
Evertiles är ett spel producerat av Olle Lundahl, Liselotte Heimdahl, Tobias
Oldegren och Dan Sjödahl. Vårt mål med spelet var att vi ville göra ett
onlinespel centrerat kring att spelaren skulle samla på saker och att spelare
skulle mäta sina prestationer mot varandra för att se vem som är bäst.
Grundidéen var att vi skulle ha en färdig spelvärld där spelare skulle gå runt
och döda monster för att få saker. Idéen utvecklades snart till att vi skulle
ha en värld som skapade sig själv genom slumpmässig generering, och med andra
spelelement som innebar att det skulle finnas mer att göra än att döda monster.
I slutprodukten finns en potentiellt, näst intill, oändlig värld och
möjligheter för spelarna att bygga egna städer.
Denna rapport kommer detaljera produktionen av spelet, från konceptstadiet
tills dess att projekttiden var slut. Våra tankar om projektets gång, och
detaljer om våra procedurer, återfinns i både reflektionsdelen, som är
majoriteten av denna rapport, samt i våra personliga reflektioner..

The role-playing game attracts a growing number of practisers. The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine role-playing literature as phenomenon in libraries through librarians´ attitudes. The paper is based on qualitative interviews with eight librarians: one personal interview with two librarians and six e-mail interviews with six librarians at different libraries. The paper starts with a definition of the term ?role-playing game?, its different categories and genres and a description of its background.

The purpose of this study was to find out what teachers and students associate concrete mathematics with and make a comparison between them.
Den dolda kompetensen : en longitudinell undersökning mellan åren 2007 - 2009 av fem gotländska småföretag
In this thesis we will discuss the importance of human resource development in smaller companies and if it will change from when the Swedish economy was in an economic boom and later on came to be in a recession. We choose to use a more qualitative approach for this research in order to conduct a more in-depth study of five smaller sized companies located on Gotland, Sweden. In order to limit our research we had as an ambition to answer these following questions:? What obstacles are there when it comes to human resource development and knowledge transference within smaller sized companies?? What can simplify or enable human resource development and knowledge transference within smaller sized companies?? Does the teaching process change to a more tacit human resource development between co-workers when there is less room for conventional human resource development?The result of the research came to show that the biggest barrier, when it comes to competence development within smaller companies, is time. However, our research also showed that a majority of the companies has changed from a more external educational plan to a more internal educational plan which focuses on keeping the human resource development within the company.
