Today?s society is one where technological advances are made daily, which increases the need to stop and assess the risks against users? integrity when integrating new technology in contemporary systems all the greater. We have taken two technologies, Near Field Communication and Certified Wireless USB, whose envisioned area of use is to be integrated into mobile phones, and evaluated what security threats are revealed for the respective technologies. The threats against security have been identified through research of the standards and existing reports for each technology. Practical experiments have not been conducted on account of us not having access to any equipment to run such trials.

Since 2004, wind power has had the largest installation of new capacity compared to other energy sources in Sweden. Accommodating new wind power may require strengthening or rebuilding of the existing grid in areas where the grid is already loaded to maximum capacity. This master thesis examine the possibility of a new 400/130 kV substation in Yttermalung, Sweden, with a connection to the two neighboring regional grids in Dalarna and Värmland owned by Fortum. This substation would provide a new connection point to the Swedish transmission system as well as an interconnection of the two, currently separated, regional grids. Different expansion scenarios where a substation with and without series compensation or a phase shifting transformer (PST) to control active power flow were studied.

In latter years there has been a discussion about the increasing importance of intangible assets and how to incorporate this fact into strategies, accounting and valuation. The ?Internet-bubble? is a recent event that drew much attention to intangible assets, and was an indicator of how complex it can be to value assets in general and intangible information in particular. Legislators recently addressed this issue by introducing IFRS3, which led to an update of IAS38, which in turn revised the methods for handling intangible assets. A specific intangible asset that has caused much debate is research and development (R&D), since it is commonly not allowed to be realized as an asset, which could cause implications concerning analysis and valuation.

Statkraft är helägt av Norska staten och är Sveriges fjärde största elproducent. Detta examensarbete syftar till att ta fram en metod för att lösa hur Statkraft Sverige AB ska lagra mjukvarubackuper av sina lokalkontrollssystem. För närvarande finns det ingen homogen lagringsmetod för backuper på företaget och problemet som ska lösas i examensarbetet är hur man kan lagra backuper från ett flertal heterogena system på en gemensam lagringsplattform. I och med att de allra flesta hjälpsystem för konfigurering av styrdatorer (PLC) bygger på Microsoft DOS/Windows så är det relativt enkelt att överföra backuper till en gemensam plattform. För äldre hjälpmedel kan man dock tänka sig att virtualisera hjälpmedlen på en nyare PC-dator med exempelvis VMware för att undvika problem som kan uppstå med äldre hårdvara.

The interest for alternative forest regeneration methods increased significantly during the 1990´s after 50 years dominance of the clear-cutting system (Holgén & Hånell 2000). One reason for this was that clear-cutting was being more and more questioned by different envi-ronmental organizations and because the forest sector for economical reasons wanted to find cheaper ways to regenerate forests. In the beginning of the 1990´s two shelterwood experi-ments were established in a joint effort by Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget (SCA) and the Dept of Silviculture, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). The experiments include various forms of cutting and shelterwood densities and represent productive spruce forests in central and north Sweden (Roggsjön in the province of Medelpad and Skikkis-jöberg in the province of Västerbotten, respectively ). The experiment next to Roggsjön has been reported earlier in three MSc theses, and is also the focus of this thesis.

Problembakgrund: Men hänsyn till världens utveckling anses det av både forskare samt av ledare att förändring har en stor betydelse för organisationerna. Det gäller att ständigt kunna anpassa sig och följa omvärldens utveckling. Denna studie avser att studera transformellt ledarskap i samband med inkrementella förändringar då dessa anses ha en koppling till varandra. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att utforska hur ledare med hjälp av det transformella ledarskapet kan påverka en inkrementell förändring i kommunala och privata bolag för att finna eventuella likheter och skillnader mellan bolagsformerna. Problemformulering: Hur kan det transformella ledarskapet påverka inkrementella förändringar i kommunala och privata bolag? Teori: Teorin i denna studie behandlar tranformellt ledarskap tillsammans med inkrementella förändringar i kommunala och privata bolag. Det transformella ledarskapet består av fyra delar, intellektuell stimulans, inspirerande motivation, individuellt hänsynstagande samt idealt inflytande.
