Study objects: Three different productions companies which the authors have chosen to be anonymous. Purpose: The purpose with this study is to examine why production companies choose to use 3D-animations in television commercials, and what different kind of aspects affects their decisions. Theoretical: The theoretical chapter reviews the history of 3D-animation andtelevision commercials and other fields that will be relevant laterin the analysis and discussion. Method: A case study has been made on three different companies, two of the companies are active in post-production and the other one is active in the consulting area. Data was collected through semistructured interviews with two of the companies.

Instagram is one of the most common used social media platforms among teenagers today. It is not only one of the most common used social media platforms, but as well one of the most common places where cyber bullying takes action. By using focus groups, netnographic studies and a questionnary we investigate the meaning of technology regarding how the bullying on Instagram takes shape and the strategies used by teenagers to handle cyber bullying.Our research shows five different ways that cyber bullying takes shape and ten different strategies implemented to handle those. The findings are compared with previous research. The ten different strategies are then discussed from aspects that are found to have a big influence on how those are implemented: gender, knowledge, experience and awareness, presence of parents and other relatives, personal experience, trust in the technical solutions and the weaknesses of those. .

Den här uppsatsen handlar om hur serietidningens narrativa likheter och olikheter med litteratur samt film och hur dessa kan användas för skapandet av ett ickelinjärt narrativ. Vi ville se var styrkan ligger i serietidningar för att försöka berätta en berättelse på ett nytt sätt som vi inte är vana vid att se. För att undersöka detta forskade vi kring vad ickelinjärt berättande är och vad som skiljer olika berättande medium från varandra. Vi applicerade sedan denna forskning i skapandet av en serietidning där vi testa de tekniker och metoder vi lärt oss om tidigare. Resultatet bygger på erfarenheterna som vi fått från skapandet av serietidningen och hur de olika narrativa likheterna samt olikheterna kunde appliceras på en serietidning.

This qualitative study aims to investigate some secondary school teacers' attitudes to and experiences of motivation in their second language classrooms. Through qualitative interviews with five teachers some different perspectives on motivation and its function in second language acquisition have come to light. First, motivation is seen as something important and some teachers tend to distinguish between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Those who do so tend to value intrinsic motivation more highly. Secondly, teachers believe they can affect students' levels of motivation.

This essay examines the possibilities for the use of ICT for learning in the subject of history. By interviewing history teachers in upper secondary school about their experiences and thoughts regarding the subjects of learning, history and ICT, as well as the relations there between, based on Mishra and Koehlers TPACK model, I come to the conclusion that ICT may enhance learning in history. I also conclude that ICT may create new learning environments in history, where knowledge may or may not grow.The more unique ways of using ICT in history, compared to other school subjects, appears to be the possibility of using a variety of new sources, for example digitized primary sources from archives, that perhaps will motivate students, and make it possible to work from a con- structivistic point of view in history.Other unique possibilities are to satisfy the need of concretizing and visualizing the history being taught, by using a broad range of different media when presenting it. .

The mission was to create a prototype of a menu system for the companySystem Andersson AB. The instructions were that it has to be as interesting andmodern now as in 20 years. We had to look at technology from the cutting edgeof development to make our prototype survive in the future. WindowsPresentation Foundation (WPF) was the technique we focused on. There areonly a few applications that take advantage of WPF today, but it is predictedthat WPF will be the next generation method for developing applications to theWindows platform.To make our menu visually appealing, easy to use and at the same timefunctional, we followed the clear path and guidelines that are available ininteraction design.

I samband med Lgr 80:s införande blev teknik ett obligatoriskt ämne i grundskolan. När Lpo 94 kom fick ämnet en egen kursplan och uppnående mål för år 5 och år 9. Det ställde krav på att man måste arbeta med teknik även i de lägre åren för att nå målen i år 5. Rapporter som är skrivna efter Lpo 94:s införande visar på dåligt resultat för teknikämnet. Dansäterskolan i Borensberg har i höst gjort en satsning på teknikämnet.

För att möta de nya förutsättningarna i ett marknadsklimat med allt högre förändringstempo, innebär samarbete en möjlighet för företag att snabbt få tillgång till nödvändig kompetens. Undersökningens syfte var att studera hur företags inlärning i internationella joint venture kan se ut, samt faktorer som påverkar inlärningsprocessen. En fallstudie genomfördes med hjälp av intervjuer på Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson. Det var Ericssons internationella forskningssamarbete i joint venture företaget Symbian som undersöktes. Genom technology sharing, interaktion mellan joint venture företaget och moderbolaget, rotation av personal och strategisk information försökte Ericsson att föra över kunskap från Symbian till sin egen organisation.

Nowadays naval units are participating in international missions, where new and in many cases tougher conditions will affect their propulsion. This essay deals with some of the now developed nanostructure coatings and gives a presentation of how the coatings could function on some exposed parts of the naval powertrain. The essay investigates the possibility that the coatings can be used as a protective layer that will reduce or prevent wear on selected parts of the naval powertrains. As a basis for the essay, nanotechnology is described, as well as different reasons that wear occurs and application techniques for coatings The conclusion is that nanostructured coatings can be applied and provide a much better result on hardness and wear resistance as of naval powertrains compared to micro-structural coatings, both for manufacturing and renovation. The essay presents a few examples of the military utility of the nanostructure coatings as well as suggestions for further research..

This thesis presents my work at the company Fatshark AB in Stockholm. My supervisor Rikard Blomberg, who works as a chief technology officer at Fatshark and is one of the owners of the company, explained that they had experienced weaknesses in the methodology used when developing heads up displays (HUD) for their games. In the latest production, Lead  and Gold, the HUD had been redesigned a number of times, becoming an unnecessarily big expense due to the number of work hours invested. In modern software development, an iterative workflow is commonly encouraged. Despite this fact, the work efficiency could likely be increased by setting up guidelines as a help in the process of developing HUDs and reviewing the solutions.

Det här examensarbetet har utförts inom civilingenjörsutbildningen för Maskinteknik vid Linköpings tekniska högskola i samarbete med SB Truck AB. Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka ett antal truckmodeller för att bestämma infästningsbultarnas belastning samt hur spänningarna fördelas i de olika stativen. Infästningsbultarna håller ihop stativet och chassit.För att kunna genomföra beräkningarna med varierande stativlängder har ett excel-blad utformats, där det är möjligt att beräkna både krafterna på infästningarna och den totala förskjutningen.Belastningarna på modell TTFYI har beräknats både för hand och i Pro Mechanica. Resultaten för beräkningarna blev 3,9 kN respektive 3,7 kN. Resultat för övriga stativ finns tabellerade i resultatkapitlet.Spänningarna blir generellt sett låga i samtliga stativ på den analyserade modellen.

Fenomenet som kallas den digitala skiljelinjen innebär att det finns stora skillnader av kunskap och infrastruktur kring internet mellan olika regioner i världen. Att hela världen inte kan ta del av de möjligheter internet bidrar med är problematiskt på flera sätt, inte minst att webben, som är ett otroligt verktyg för att sprida kunskap som inte finns tillgänglig i samma grad överallt. Finns det någonting webbutvecklare kan göra för att trotsa den digitala skiljelinjen och leverera en stabil och användbar upplevelse? Detta kandidatarbete undersöker vad som kan göras för att lösa många av de svårigheter som den digitala skiljelinjen innebär för en webbapplikation.

the most obvious problem at Traction today is the in-between handling that demands much time and resources. The reason is that the packages are not designed with handling in mind. Several of the packages of today also have a poor degree of utilization that means there is room for a fewer number of articles. That in turn means more packages, more transports, more storage space and more staff. On the basis of a specification of demands ? which take quality and environmental influence, as well as transport, handling and economy in account ? we have developed suggestions on new packages that will facilitate handling and lower the total costs, The time of handling will in some cases abbreviate to just a few seconds with the new packages.

This master thesis is developed based on the desire of the water and sewage department in the municipality of Karlskrona. The department, which vouches for the quality of produced drinking water and sewage cleaning, was in need of help dealing with risk analysis.The water and sewage department is obliged to identify and assess risks according to Swedish legislation. However, no guides for this purpose regarding safety, health, environment and quality were available. The aim of this report was to accomplish a guideline for the performance of risk analysis within water and sewage plants. If the guideline is used, the requirements in the legislation will be obtained.

This masters thesis deals with smoke spread via ventilation systems. One aim of the thesis is to investigate and explain the differences in efforts to prevent smoke spread via ventilation systems in different countries. A second aim of this thesis is to investigate how frequently occurring smoke spread via ventilation systems in Swedish buildings are. A third aim is to investigate how uncertainties in input variables to smoke spread calculations will affect the result of calculation. To be able to do this the most important input variables are identified and analysed.
