E.ON Elnät has in their project Operational Performance developed a priority tool forconstruction and operation. The tool will help the users to increase the capability to prioritybetween new development projects and removal of faults. The tool can be seen as a measuringfor different bay?s reliability, size and the community usefulness. The result of the priority isdirectly connected to which calibration that is chosen in the tool.The priority tool is still under development and there is therefore an uncertainty about howsensitive the tool is for changes in the calibration.

 An analysis in the work of Martin Kellermans comic ?Rocky? of the interaction between the male and female characters and of how each of their gender are portrayed. We are going to find out if it is probable for young adults to be affected by any eventual gender-stereotypes that we can find in ?Rocky? or if ?Rocky? consolidates a stereotypical image of men and women that young adults might have developed through different media. We conduct this analys by first reading through random seleceted ?Rocky? books and present some of the comic strips where men and women interact with each other or discuss the opposite sex..

This thesis describes a tool for data mining used to optimize ambulance preparedness. The goal with the tool was that it should be able to retract the information necessary to be able to analyze and calibrate the preparedness model used in the software ResQMap. ResQMap is used by SOS Alarm, who are responsible for the Swedish emergency number 112, as a decision support tool for ambulance operators. It is developed by Carmenta AB, who are the supervisors of the thesis work. Also, a minor study of the preparedness models variables has been performed in order to be able to evaluate the function of the tool.

Syftet med denna undersökning är att kartlägga struktur och generella drag hos kundsamtal i en lanthandel samt att studera improvisation, dvs. hur språket varierar beroende på samtalspartner, i dessa samtal.Femtiotre samtal har spelats in i kassan i en uppländsk lanthandel. Inspelningarna är det huvudsakliga materialet och ligger till grund för analysen, men de har kompletterats med kortare intervjuer.Samtalens organisation följer i stora drag transaktionsprocessen. Samtalen är uppdelade i fem faser. Endast en av dessa, betalfasen, är obligatorisk och längden på faserna varierar mellan olika samtal.

Studiens syfte är att synliggöra de föreställningar om socialtjänsten och socialarbetare som finns på Flashback Forum, bilda en diskurs av dessa och sedan jämföra diskursen med andra diskurser kring samma fenomen. Flashback Forumdiskursen genomsyras av fyra teman; Misstro mot socialtjänsten och socialarbetare, Socialtjänsten och socialarbetares verksamhet, Socialtjänsten, socialarbetare och kön samt Tilltro till socialtjänsten och socialarbetare.

The catchphrase this project has been; the boundaries between ornamentation and improvisation are fluid.My aim was to focus on my work process, giving me the space and time so develop my design further regarding shape, color and combination of different styles in patterns.This is an explorative project where patterns were created without a predetermined product of which the patterns would be applied. In a later stage the character of the pattern determined which product that would be most suitable for application.It resulted in a collection of patterns for wallpaper and clothing. The motives are foxes, geometrical shapes and squares from a notebook. These motives form an ornamental expression in the patterns with the purpose of embellishment and therefore increase the emotional value of the product..

Studien belyser vilka motivationsfaktorer som finns till sångutveckling och förhållande till improvisation, som begrepp och verktyg. Jag har genomfört kvalitativa intervjuer och prak- tiskt undersökande med elever och lärare. Jag själv har genomfört två improvisationsövningar under fyra tillfällen med tillhörande reflektion med eleven. Intervjustudien kopplas till styr- dokument och lärarens uppdrag i skolan.Resultatet av min studie med eleverna visar att det finns en problematik i elevers osäkerhet och rädsla över att göra fel. Begreppen som låta fult och fel blir ett retoriskt problem då det ofta inte är klart för eleven vad begreppet innebär och då ett hinder i utvecklingen.

Min musikaliska bana har sin utgångspunkt i kyrkan. Det var här jag fick min första scenerfarenhet och musikaliska influenser. I och med min utbildning i jazz och improvisation har jag saknat att inte kunna spela min nyupptäckta musik i det sammanhang som jag kommer ifrån. Arbetet mynnade ut i en gudstjänst baserad på improvisationsmusik som hölls i Equmeniakyrkan Lerkil. Istället för att använda musiken till gemensam sång fick den rollen av att vara lots genom en nattvardsgudstjänst, i form av en ovanlig duo bestående av kontrabas och trummor.

To minimize these risks, companies need a tool to help them analyze how the reorganization will affect the business before they make major changes. Such tool has now been developed by researchers at KTH.

The Division of Language and Communication at Chalmers uses a web-based language tool, named EngOnline, to teach English grammar. The language tool suffers from some shortcomings. These include stability problems and an outdated interface but, above all, there is no documentation. Because of the lack of documentation and EngOnline?s need of maintenance, the Division of Language and Communication has decided to replace the language tool with a new and well documented one.The new language tool was developed using an agile work process; detailed documentation was replaced with more efficient communication.

Mitt syfte med arbetet var att undersöka vad som påverkar hur barn väljer böcker för fri läsning i skolan. Dessutom ville jag undersöka om det är skillnad i barnens val när böckerna väljs ur en boklåda som är komponerad av en bibliotekarie jämfört med när de väljer direkt ur hyllan på skolbiblioteket. Jag intervjuade 21 barn i årskurs 1 och 22 elever i årskurs 2. Intervjun var kort och innehöll en öppen fråga. Mitt resultat visade att eleverna i stor utsträckning valde samma böcker som sina kamrater, men ändå upplevde att de gjorde det av eget intresse.

C3LOOPS is an application for DJs and VJs based on surface interaction. A system is said to be based on surface interaction if it presents content on a two dimensional, endless surface that a user navigates through zoom, pan and incremental text filtering where processing is tightly coupled with the content without breaking the workflow. C3LOOPS is designed to encourage improvisation and collaboration. During improvisation changes occur rapidly. Allowing navigation through time as well as the two spatial dimensions of an interaction surface the possibility of unlimited undo operations opens up.

Scatsång och röstimprovisation är speciella kännetecken som skiljer jazzsång från andra sångstilar. Men det betyder inte att alla jazzsångare gillar att sjunga scatsång eller göra ordlösa improvisationer med sin röst. Vilka tankar finns hos jazzsångare om scatsång och röstimprovisation? Det är en fråga som har inspirerat mig till att göra denna studie. Syftet med denna studie är alltså att undersöka hur scatsången och röstimprovisation uppfattas av erfarna jazzsångare idag.

The task for this thesis is to design a tool that is used to cut-out preforms of thermoplastic adhesive and also to make an estimate of costs for the stamping tool. The tool is used in the repair process at the MCM production line. The result of gathered information has affected how the design of the stamping tool has developed. The handling of thermoplastic adhesive in the repair process is one of the factors that influenced the design. The adhesive is sensitive for exposure to moisture. Therefore an automated feeding system of the adhesive is not recommended. The users wished for an automated stamping tool.

With examples from a single classroom situation, several educational moments show what goes on between the teacher and the student. The teacher?s responsibility in the learning process is, with a gesture frozen in the air of the moment, to lead and follow the student in her tentative efforts at seeking knowledge. Initially, it is an attempt to shed light upon the "not yet seen" with a certainty that the student herself possesses the capacity and the aptitude to reach greater insight and clarity in her understanding. The Validation/Feil Method presented in this instructional situation illustrates how best to communicate with elderly people suffering from Alzheimer?s dementia.
