RÀtten till politisk delaktighet Àr en central kÀrna i MR-perspektivet. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om medborgardialog, initierade av kommuner, bidrar till frÀmjandet av politisk delaktighet och inkludering av utrikes födda kvinnor. Med avstamp frÄn den deliberativa demokratimodellen och med hjÀlp av centrala begrepp sÄsom deltagande, politisk jÀmlikhet och grupprepresentation sÄ har studien pÄ övergripande plan kunnat undersöka hur svenska kommuner tillÀmpar medborgardialog och i vilken utstrÀckning kvinnor blir inkluderade respektive exkluderade. Efter att ha undersökt tre olika kommuner med högst andel utrikes födda kvinnor sÄ visar resultatet pÄ att medborgardialog Àr ett effektivt instrument för att frÀmja politisk delaktighet i en svensk kontext. Kommunernas fortsatta arbete med att utveckla medborgardialogerna Àr dÀrför av största vikt och i synnerhet genom att utveckla riktlinjer explicit för att inkludera utrikes födda kvinnor..

Syftet med studien Àr att undersöka hur vÀl LÀroplanen för de frivilliga skolformerna (Lpf 94) stÀmmer överens med gymnasieelevers förestÀllningar gÀllande lÀrarens roll som ledare, relationsskapare, kunskapsförmedlare och moraliska/etiska uppdrag. Metoden som ligger till grund för studien Àr intervjuer i fokusgrupper med gymnasieelever och en dokumentanalys av Lpf 94. Totalt deltog 24 stycken elever frÄn fyra olika gymnasieskolor. Resultatet visar att elevernas förestÀllning om lÀrarens roller i stora drag stÀmmer överens med Lpf 94:s definitioner, exempelvis lÀrarens förmÄga att anvÀnda sig av varierande undervisningsmetoder och ge möjlighet till reellt elevinflytande. Lpf 94 och elevernas förestÀllningar gÀllande lÀraren som relationsskapare skiljer sig Ät.

Ett informationssystem syftar till att förse ett företag med information för att förbÀttra dess kompetens och effektivitet. Acceptansen av informationssystemet, och den effekt det fÄr i företaget, Àr beroende av hur vÀl systemet motsvarar kundens krav. Trots denna vetskap Àr den frÀmsta kritik som riktas mot informationssystem idag att de inte motsvarar intressenternas krav och sÄledes inte anvÀnds i avsedd omfattning.Den viktigaste informationskÀllan, som systemutvecklarna har vid undersökning av problemdomÀnen och kraven pÄ det tÀnkta systemet Àr intressenterna. För att resultatet av systemutvecklingsprojektet skall bli sÄ bra som möjligt krÀver det att intressenterna Àr engagerade och involverade i processen att samla in information. Risken Àr annars att den insamlade kunskapen Àr ofullstÀndig och inkonsistent.

The living library started in Denmark at the festival of Roskilde in 2000. It was initiated by the youth organisation ?Stop volden? (?Stop the violence?). Since 2005 the idea of lending a human being who represents a prejudice has also become a practice in a few public libraries in Sweden. I found it interesting to analyse the living library in relation to the mission of diversity in the public library.

This thesis aims to examine how the quality of data that is entered into and retrieved from a corporate group's ERP and Data Warehouse systems can be improved. The corporate group has already taken several measures that will improve the quality of data. For instance the corporate group has updated and merged the previous ERP systems into one. At the same time the corporate group adjusted the settings in the updated ERP system, so that it will be harder to register incorrect data in the ERP system. With regards to the processes and routines, the studied department has efficient written routines and processes.

Through discourse analysis of twelve Library and Information Science theses, covering the period between 1975 and 2007, this thesis examines representations of homosexuality and homosexual identities. By using queer theory as a point of reference aspects such as essence/construct, equality/difference, notions of gender and views on the historical and contemporary situation of homosexuals are brought to the fore in the analysis. It is shown how the material unequivocally posits the contemporary situation of homosexuals favourably in comparison to a past signified by prejudices and oppression. This can be seen as an implicit essentialism in the texts, though ambivalences open up the possibility that it in some cases may be only strategically used while explicitly adhering to constructionist views. In linking concepts of a homosexual difference to prejudices, frequently involving notions of inverted gender performances or sexual ?extremes?, the discourse of progression posits normalcy and assimilation as positive values.

 This essay has been investigate a Hindu swaminarayantempel in central Sweden, its activities and function from a diaspora perspective. Also to investigate the relationship between Hindu diaspora groups and in relation to South Asia. An ethnographic method was used.The result of this study shows that the key activities temple provides the puja. Pujan is the most frequent activity in the investigated Temple. The temple also provides other activities that often are linked to anniversaries and celebrations of festive calendar, such as Diwali or gods' birthdays.The investigated temple has a similar function as other diaspora groups.

The aim of this thesis is to describe passage retrieval (PR), with basis in results from various empirical experiments, and to critically investigate different approaches in PR. The main questions to be answered in the thesis are: (1) What characterizes PR? (2) What approaches have been proposed? (3) How well do the approaches work in experimental information retrieval (IR)? PR is a research topic in information retrieval, which instead of retrieving the fulltext of documents, that can lead to information overload for the user, tries to retrieve the most relevant passages in the documents. This technique was investigated studying a number of central articles in the research field. PR can be divided into three different types of approaches based on the segmentation of the documents.

I uppsatsen ges en beskrivning av fornskandinavisk sejd och samisk schamanism och en jÀmförelse mellan dessas likheter och skillnader. Genom att söka svar i bÄde den poetiska och prosaiska Eddan, samt Heimskringla söker författaren komponenter för att beskriva det magiska fenomenet sejd.

The swedish law of contract is fundamental within several civil law areas, among others labour law. The labour law contains more explicit legislation specificly adapted to the relation between employers and employees. Sometimes the labour law needs to rely on more general regulations, such as the law of contract. When the situation contains a specific contract relation dilemma it is logical to use the law of contract, when for example the law of employee protection does not reach an acceptabel solution.Transfer of undertaking is a situation were the employee protection is disregarded. The Euro directive 2001/23/EG prescribes, by its implemented rules in the law of employee protection, that rights and duties, such as employement agreements, passes on to the earner of the business.

The primary aim of this thesis is to examine female lawyers' relationships to information from different angles. The starting-point is that the legal information, retrieved from through different information sources, is not free from values and subjectivity. The commonly presumed objectivity of legal information is questioned, based on the fact that this kind of information has developed and changed historically in the context of, and in relation to, society. Another aim is to find out how the female lawyers experience their situation in a traditionally masculine working environment. Qualitative interviews have been carried out with seven female lawyers involving questions about their daily work about the sources that they are using.

Today we are living in a knowledge-society where knowledge sharing is of utmost importance for companies in order to keep their competitiveness. Therefore, it is a much debated issue - in both the academic and the corporate world - in what way one should handle the knowledge which continuously is created within companies. The aim of this study is to describe how practitioners share tacit knowledge within a large knowledge company. By that we aim to get an answer to how the chosen theoretical models regarding tacit knowledge relate to the empirical world. In this study we will focus on tacit knowledge in contrast to explicit one.

Purpose: To examine the governance mechanisms and the competence PE-firms adds to theirholding companies through an active ownership in order to create growth.Methodology: A qualitative study with interviews as its main source of data.Theoretical perspectives: Corporate governance and relevant theories within that subjectsuch as agent theory, board of directors and management. Previous research within the subjectwill also be presented.Empirical foundation: The empirical foundation consists of three conducted interviews anddata collected from the chosen PE-firms as well as six different holding companies.Conclusions: The governance mechanisms used in the PE-firms we have chosen are stronglyrelated to both theories within corporate governance as well as previous research on thesubject. The governance mechanisms being used are an explicit owners agenda and strategy, athorough acquisition process, usage of external competence, active ownership through theboard of directors and the insertion of incentive systems..

Having an intranet as a source for information and communication is common in most contemporary organizations. Research shows that the intranet in itself does not have an explicit area of use, and that leaves every organization to make decisions of the associated functionality on their own. At the same time the strategic opportunities that the intranet could bring get lost somewhere along the way. This means that problems regarding the strategic use of an intranet becomes apparent and may result in loss of investments for the organization. The purpose of this thesis is to identify central choices that can be used as points of discussion and help organizations to work with their intranets on a more strategic level.
