A LED spectrometer has been constructed for qualitative spectrometry using certain wavelenghts. The LEDs and the photodiode are being controlled with a microcontroller that is connected to a computer to power the components and save data. The spectroanalysis made with the LED spectrometer were significantly different to a standard spectrometer, concluding that more analysis should be made until a final product is ready. Some areas of improvements are suggested. .

This report deals with RFID systems and how to detect nearby tags with the Mifare standard using only a microcontroller and an antenna circuit.The aim was to investigate whether there was any possibility to continuously search for a nearby tag for a system operated with batteries without compromising   the lifespan of the battery. At this time the system would take too long time to wake up and look for a tag to give a satisfactory battery lifespan, which should be done a couple of times every second.The report has two issues, namely:Is it possible to direct the microprocessor to detect and identify a nearby tag after the Mifare standard?What hardware is required for this to be possible?As the research method to provide answers to the above questions an action research was used. This approach has meant that the group worked on information retrieval, examined existing solutions, tested their own solutions and documented the results.The group examined an existing solution that can search for nearby tags with minimal energy consumption. An antenna circuit was built that was connected to the processor.

The thesis has investigated how Sandvik Coromant could implement the SMED principle on one of their grinders groups and what improvements it would lead to. The aim of the thesis is to identify the current situation and investigate how their setup times would be affected by SMED. The work initiated with a literature analysis about the SMED principles and then proceeded with an analysis of the current situation where the activity was time mapped. The analysis consisted of time trials of the process that the thesis would include. The time studies revealed opportunities for structural improvements to create environment for a more structured process.

How schools handles threat and violence among pupils could have an effect on the surrounding world, since schools reflect society at large. This study attempts to explore how this is handled within two schools, one secondary school and one upper secondary school. How do the schools work with violence and threats amongst pupils? Who is responsible for what? Is this work based on school guidelines? Why/why not? In order to counter these difficulties the Lund University Hospital have introduced Lean Healthcare to the hospital organization. The purpose of this scientific paper is to study the relationship between the implementation of Lean Healthcare and the experienced motivation among the staff. This essay thereby intends to impart knowledge, which could be used on future implementations of Lean Healthcare at other hospitals. In order to fulfil the purpose of this essay a case study have been conducted at two wards at the Lund University Hospital in which qualitative research interviews have been the method chosen in order to gather data.

De regler och regelverk som styr intäktsredovisningen har det senaste decenniet diskuterats flitigt. Detta dels för att intäktsposten och dess redovisning har varit i centrum för ett antal redovisningsskandaler, dels för att reglerna inte är harmoniserade och för svåra att tillämpa. Problematik har lett till ett konvergeringsprojekt mellan de två stora normsättarna International Accounting Standards Board och Financial Accounting Standards Board som nu under andra halvåret av 2013 kommer presenter ett nytt regelverk gällande intäktsredovisningen. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur intäktsredovisningen för entreprenadföretag fungerar, samt att ge en inblick i hur de nya reglerna kring intäktsredovisningen tros komma att påverka företag i entreprenadbranschen. The aim of this empirical study was to investigate how nurses on a ward within the emergency clinic deal with analgesia prescriptions and the pain management documentation. The used method was divided into chart reviews and qualitative interviews with nurses in clinical practice at the ward. This means that both a qualitative and quantitative approach was desired. The results incline that nurses generally apply to the laws and restrictions surrounding the nursing discipline, as used in pain treatment. Thus they generally fulfill the obligations accounting to documentation.

Efter att International Accounting Standard 40 (IAS 40) infördes år 2005 avseende värdering av fastigheter till verkligt värde för noterade bolag, har det uppstått diskussioner. Tillförlitligheten har ifrågasatts eftersom värderingsmodellerna är komplexa och påverkas av det rådande marknadsläget. Under en finanskris är det därför ännu svårare att göra värderingen då marknaden är instabil och det är svårt att jämföra med andra fastigheter.I studien undersöks hur stor avvikelsen är mellan det bokförda värdet på fastigheten och försäljningspriset och tre faktorer som kan påverka värderingen i tre europeiska länder, Sverige, Tyskland och Storbritannien. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan extern värderare, finanskrisen och land i förhållande till avvikelsen. Utifrån resultatet syftar studien att ge en fingervisning om hur stort fel det kan vara i årsredovisningen för intressenterna som använder den till att ta beslut men även för revisorn som granskar den.Studien utgår ifrån ett användarperspektiv, eftersom det är de i huvudsak som använder informationen i årsredovisningar för att ta beslut.

This is a study on individual development plans (IDPs) in pre-school and their relationship with the teaching performed. Skolverket does not mention the IDPs in their steering documents for pre-school, and have in a separate memo discouraged from the use. Yet reports show that many of the pre-schools in Sweden are using IDPs. Teaching in pre-school is expected to be a mixture of care and learning without clear boundaries to the scientific topics pre-school aims to introduce children to. The purpose of this study is to investigate if the use of IDPs affect the teaching in pre-school.
