Implementering av balanserad styrning i Arvika kommun : Faktorer som underlättar eller försvårar implementeringen

In conjunction with an overview of the organizational structure of the municipality of Arvika the Balanced Scorecard was introduced as a management model. After the Balanced Scorecard has been in use over a period of years the conception of it varies throughout the organization.The purpose of this study is identifying which factors are facilitating and which factors are obstructing when implementing the Balanced Scorecard in the municipality of Arvika. This is a case study of the staff organization of the municipality of Arvika. The study is explanatory as our objective is to describe why the current situation appears as it does today. A qualitative method has been applied during this study.

Den gröna myten : En kommuns strategiska arbete mot hållbarhet, samarbetsanda och affärsmöjligheter

Our aim is to create a greater understanding for how Växjö Municipality is working with their vision, strategy and brand, and also how it is perceived by the business sector. This understanding will help us to highlight success factors and pitfalls that exist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of a municipality?s identity, image and profile to convince the business sector to follow.Methodology: We have been using an abductive and qualitative research-method in which semi-structured interviews have been the basis of our empirical material. We had interviews with three employees, a communication manager and the mayor at Växjö Municipality as well as four organizations and two companies with sustainable focus. We did this to get different perspectives and thereby get a greater understanding.Analysis & conclusion: We have been able to identify both success factors and pitfalls in Växjö Municipality's strategic sustainability work.

VSEM project and the need for a more efficient way of handling requirements andinformation are highly apparent.The overall objective of this thesis is divided into two parts:1. To identify criteria/factors leading to a successful introduction of an informationmanagement system.2. To develop an implementation process for a requirement management system ?the first step towards a PLM system in EE development at VCC.This will be done through interviews with employees, a literature review and an analysisof studies of three earlier projects within VCC.The conclusion of this study shows the great need for change in work methods fordesigners handling information and requirements. An implementation process has beenidentified with guidelines on how to handle different phases of the process.

Socialtjänstens hantering av mäns våld mot kvinnor : En studie om könsmaktsperspektivets betydelse för socialarbetaren

Purpose: The aim of the study is to analyse why the socialworker at the socialservices havn?t implemented the perspective of woman as subordinate and men as superior.Questions: Is the perspective of woman as subordinate and men as superior significant for the socialworker? Is the organisation, colleagues or de individuals thought structure of importance when it comes to implement the perspective? Does the socialworkers view of the clients as victims have an impact on the fact that the perspective has been given interest? Method: Critical case study. Flexible design; The study is based on interviews with socialworkers and study of documents and statisticsConclusion: One of the central findings of the field study was that the implementation of the perspective of woman as subordinate and men as superior was of no use for the socialworkers as they saw it. The findings showed that the definition of a victim was not used or that they were unconscious that the definition of a victim did affect them in their work. The possibilities for the organisation to learn is of  importance for the implementation of the perspective of woman as subordinate and men as superior.

This study is about being manager in social care and social welfare organisations. Ten women managers participate in the study and share their thoughts about management. Such organisations are an area where women are most frequent, so we wanted to take part of experiences women managers in this area obtain. The study concentrates upon factors these women encounter and which they feel can affect them in their daily work. The study shows that the women we interviewed have a basic interest in humans and a strong commitment to working for human well being.

Användbarheten av två modeller i två olika företag, en studie av lean production : Fallstudier vid SKF Couplings systems och AQ Parkoprint

This study is about to see whether the two models representing the strategies of lean production is to use and apply in different companies. The models are structured in two different ways in which one of them is checking the softer elements of lean production in the form of leadership and strategies. This model is called Lesat and is based on interviewquestions. The second model, called "learning to see" is about identifying flows. This, together shall then give an idea of how mature companies are when it comes to a whole in the concept of lean production, and susceptibility to use these models to their respective companies. The study is conducted in two companies, SKF couplings systems and AQ parkoprint.

Risksamband vid införandet av ett kliniskt informationssystem : En fallstudie för verksamhetsområdet Thoraxkirurgi och Anestesi vid Akademiska Sjukhuset i Uppsala

Sveriges landsting har börjat införa nya kliniska informationssystem som komplement till sina elektroniska patientjournaler. Målet är att kunna förnya och effektivisera existerande system och processer, sänka sjukvårdkostnader samt öka patientsäkerhet och kvalité i vården.Trots betydande investeringar i nya kliniska informationssystem har inga övertygande bevis kunnat presenteras för systemens övergripande effekter i organisationen. Ny forskning anser att detta huvudsakligen beror på en trög användning av nya informationssystem som varken är kompatibla eller lätt att använda, samt att verksamhetsområdena inte har lyckats återanpassa sina kliniska processer till det nya systemet. Denna fallstudie har genomförts hos verksamhetsområdet för Thoraxkirurgi och Anestesi vid Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala. Studien redogör för den medvetenhet projektledning och organisation har kring riskindikatorer och dess effekter vid införseln av ett kliniskt informationssystem. Aktuella risksamband visar att implementationen kommer leda till en trög användning av systemet på grund av att man inte lyckats återanpassa verksamhetens kliniska processer till det nya systemet.

Flexibel extraktion av data från XMI-dokument, utan tillgång till DTD eller XML-schema

Undersökningen behandlar problem som tidigare forskning har uppmärksammat kring användandet av standarden XMI. XMI är avsedd för utbyte av modeller mellan modelleringsverktyg. Problem som uppmärksammats i användningen av XMI är att information om modeller inte alltid utbyts korrekt mellan verktyg. Detta kan resultera i att viktig information om modellerna går förlorad.Undersökningen har till syfte att undersöka huruvida det är möjligt att extrahera data från modeller sparade i XMI-format utan tillgång till DTD eller XML-schema. En sådan möjlighet skulle kunna användas för att rädda information om modeller som annars skulle gå förlorad.Den metod som har används för undersökningen är litteraturstudie, experiment och implementation samt hypotesprövning.

In Rio De Janeiro, 1992, was the first document signed that meant a responsibility for industrial countries to decrease their emissions, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Thirteen years later was the first legal binding document signed, the Kyoto protocol, and for the first time industrial countries all over the world was bound to decrease their emissions on greenhouse gases. Within the framework of this commitment, three flexible mechanisms (Clean Development mechanism, Joint Implementation and Emission trading) were introduced with the function to reduce the economical costs of the commitment. Socionomutbildning i internationellt perspektiv : En komparativ studie av Sverige, Tjeckien, Italien och Skottland

The aim of this study was to compare educational systems in Sweden, Czech Republic, Italy and Scotland. In the light of the Bologna Declaration signed in 1999, I was particularly interested in comparing social work educations in these four countries. Especially to clarify how far they have come to fulfill the goals of the common European educational policy.Central questions asked were: How do the educational systems look like in each of the four countries? How are the social work educations organized in each of them? In what ways do the social work educations differ? How can we explain such differences?Each country in this study represents a different welfare regime, and therefore I was challenged to find out if this has an impact on the implementation of the incentives of the Bologna Declaration. By studying various documents from the European Union, documents from each country and presentations of various social work programmes, I have come to the conclusion that the differences found mainly depends on the historical and socioeconomic traditions in the countries.

Implementering av miljökvalitetsmål i mindre kommuner : - En fallstudie av Torsby kommuns arbete med att implementera delmålet Planeringsunderlag

The aim of this dissertation is to examine why smaller municipalities[1] in Sweden experience difficulties when implementing the 16 environmental objectives that are designed to solve Sweden's environmental problems.The theoretical framework used for this dissertation is implementation theory which provides three conditions that need to be met in order to have a successful implementation.  These three conditions have shaped the research questions that examine if Torsby municipality has the "understanding," "ability" and "will" needed to implement the decision correctly.  The dissertation employs a case study method to examine why Torsby municipality has experienced difficulties implementating the target: programmes and strategies for planning, which is an interim target to environmental objective number 15: A good built environment.  Qualitative text analysis and interviews with politicians and civil servants from Torsby municipality and the county administration board of Värmland have been conducted in order to answer the research questions.   The material used for this dissertation is mostly from the government bills that are the foundation of the Swedish environmental policy and the documents and reports about the environmental objectives that the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning (Boverket), the Swedish Environmental protection agency (Naturvårdsverket), and the Environmental objectives council (Miljörådet) have released.The result of this dissertation supports previous research which has shown that smaller municipalities have problems implementating the environmental objectives due to a lack of financial resources. This dissertation also shows that the problems can be due to a lack of understanding the purpose of the objectives.  This leads to a lack of political will to implement the objectives.  Since the municipalities do not have the political will to implement the objectives the appropriate resources needed for a successful implementation are not appointed and therefore the municipalities are not able to fully implement the environmental objectives. [1] Municipalities with less than 20 000 inhabitants..

Ledarskap i kris : En studie av ledarskap i ekonomiska kriser

Syfte: Att undersöka vad som utmärker ledarskap i ekonomiska kriser, till följd av den idag aktuella finanskrisen.Genomförande: Empirin har insamlats med hjälp av den kvalitativa metoden. Studien innefattar djupintervjuer med semistrukturerade frågor och tio respondenter från två olika företag inom banksektorn. Utifrån empirin har författarna försökt att dra paralleller mellan ledarnas beteenden och de teorier som omfattar olika ledarstilar.Slutsatser: Utifrån analysen av empirin framgick det att ledarbeteenden i ekonomiska kriser skiljer sig. Dock kan orsaken till det vara företagens olika förutsättningar och struktur innan den ekonomiska krisen. Beteenden som tydlighet, tillgänglighet, delaktighet, samhörighet och minskat handlingsutrymme blev mer utmärkande.

Den organisatoriska strukturens påverkan på Agile i praktiken

Agile as an idea was created in 2001 through the Agile Manifesto with focus on social relationships, communication and flexibility. This was a reaction to the traditional, hierarchical organization with the goal of restoring balance within organizations in the IT business. Today we can see a transit of Agile from the IT-industry to other industries and areas, such as HRM.There is a challenge in attempting to traditionally control a social idea such as Agile, and there is a lack of empirical studies of the organizational context and its effect on the interpretation of Agile in practice. This study is an attempt to connect Agile to the science of business administration.The purpose with this study is therefore to research the organizational contexts effects on the interpretation of Agile in practice, within IT and HRM. Where Agile is established or well known.To fulfill our purpose we chose social constructivism as our scientifically approach, and conducted 12 in-depth interviews.
