Intimate partner violence is the most common health issue for women between the ages of fifteen to sixty-four in Sweden as well as the majority of European countries according to the United Nations. Aim ? The aim of the study was to illuminate nurses? experiences when caring for women exposed to intimate partner violence. Method ? This thesis was a literature review based on both qualitative and quantitative articles to give as comprehensive a view as possible.

Previous research and patient complaints to the Swedish Patient Support Committee shows that there is a lack of substance in the patient-nurse relationship. This may suggest that it can be difficult for health care to live up to health-care law which requires it to be of good quality, based on dignity and respect and designed so that the patient is an active participant and can make their own decisions when it comes to their health care. For a better understanding of what a dignified patient-nurse relationship is, this study aims to clarify what the patient values as good patient-nurse relationship and describe how they have experienced the patient-nurse relationship during their stay at an emergency care department. The study is a descriptive cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, where the population consisted of patients who were cared for at an emergency care department in the County of Västmanland, Sweden during 2007. The sample consisted of 93 patients which were asked to answer a questionnaire.

Hjärtinfarkt är en traumatisk upplevelse, vilken även påverkar individen som har ett parförhållande till den drabbade. I omvårdnaden är det dock vanligt förekommande att dennes behov förbises. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva upplevelser relaterat till att ens partner drabbats av hjärtinfarkt. 13 vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats. Detta resulterade i fem kategorier: Att känna maktlöshet i situationen; Att känna oro och vilja övervaka partnerns hälsa; Att ha ett behov av att skydda sin partner; Att relationen till partnern förändras; Att framtiden är oviss och leva med döden som en realitet.

This essay aims to examine what subject positions are possible within the discourse of relationship anarchy. Through semi-structured interviews with four people who define themselves as relationship anarchists I've made a discourse analysis to determine how these relationship anarchists explain what, in the discourse they?re in, is described as an relationship anarchistic way of being, what isn?t and how they relate to this. Relationship anarchy is described as an ideology based on freedom. It is about the right to define their relationships as they like, as something constantly changing and that does not hold a specific value based on its label.

[?If we zigzag in the middle, it?s OK?] The purpose of the following study is to examine the relationship between tourism and religion in a Balinese context. We look specifically at changes in religious practice, culture and mentality, as well as how religious philosophy is used as a tool for limiting the negative impact of tourism. The methods used are semi-structured interviews and participant observations. Central themes in the following essay are globalization in the form of tourism, westernization, subsystem theory and capitalism, which also make up the theoretical framework.

This study aims at investigating the spousal relationships of persons who have been diagnosed with dementia and are living in a nursing home. Eight spouses? descriptions of their relationship, spousal interaction and the relationship´s impact on the spouse´s life were captured through qualitative interviews. The results show three main types of interaction patterns: one of spousal joy and happiness; a combination of both happiness and sadness; and a pattern of no positive reactions. The strength of the relationship was based on the analysis of trust, intimacy and commitment to the relationship.

The questions in this study were: how does a person with insecure employment perceive the psychological contract and what consequences dose an insecure employment have on the psychological contract. The study was a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews. The results showed that the absent relationship that existed between the participants and the employer was assumed to be affected by insecure employment. The result revealed that one of the consequences was falling confidence and less support to the employer as an effect of insecure employment and psychological contract.

När vuxna människor lever med sjukdom påverkas också deras partner. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva upplevelser av att leva i parrelation där en partner lever med sjukdom. Studien baserades på femton vetenskapliga artiklar som analyserades med manifest, kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i fem kategorier: Att vara rädd, orolig och hjälplös: Att sexlivet förändras och annat blir viktigt: Att det är viktigt att kunna prata med varandra: Att anpassa sig och känna sig kvävd och Att uppskatta livet och gå vidare. Både de sjuka och deras partner upplevde rädsla, oro och hjälplöshet, men de försökte skydda varandra genom att inte uttrycka sin oro.

Bakgrund Tidig fosterdiagnostik är en undersökning med syfte att upptäcka eventuella kromosomavvikelser i fostret. Föräldrar kan komma att ställas inför flera svåra val under graviditeten. För att göra ett informerat val avseende tidig fosterdiagnostik krävs god information till de blivande föräldrarna från vårdgivaren. Syfte I denna studie undersöks om paret är överens eller inte avseende informerat val och huruvida det påverkar kvinnans graviditetsrelaterade oro, beslutskonflikt, nöjdhet med informationssamtalet samt om det påverkar hennes beslut att göra tidig fosterdiagnostik.Metod Femtiotre kvinnor, tidigt in i sin graviditet, deltog i studien. Kvinnorna delades upp i två grupper, där den ena var överens med sin partner avseende informerat val och den andra inte.

Gastric ulcer is a common disease among pigs in the whole world where an intensiveproduction occurs. It is mainly the upper region, the nonglandular region of the stomach thatis affected. Gastric ulceration is a disease with several risk factors. The factor that seems tohave the largest impact on the development of gastric ulceration is a small particle size of thefeed. The reported prevalence of gastric ulceration differs from 5 to 100 % and it is a largeherd-to-herd variation.

Background and Problem definition: Atypical employment is something that has becomeincreasingly common in recent decades, these are defined as positions where no relationship is of thetraditional type in which the employee has a long term relationship with the employer and where hecarries out his work at the premises of the employer. These atypical employments can take variousforms, it can be fixed term contracts, project work or jobs in employment agencies and so on. Thestaffing sector in Sweden has grown rapidly since the 90s, and since international research shows thatthe three-way relationship arising from the use of staffing agencies may lead to challenges in differentparts of HRM, we have chosen to study this topic.Aim: The purpose of this paper is to describe and understand how HRM is handled in atypicalemployment relationships.Method: The epistemological starting point for this work is hermeneutics, as a result of this theresearch approach is qualitative and inspired by abduction. The authors have chosen to carry out thework as a case study of three primary cases, each one consisting of an employment agency, a clientorganization and an employee. The analysis is based on the hermeneutics principles of interpretationand concentration of meaning.Results: What emerged as central to how HRM is handled are the interdependencies that existbetween the business environment and the strategies of the firm, how they affect different parts ofHRM and how participation and liminality have an impact on the three-way relationship.Keywords: HRM, atypical employment, staffing agencies, three-way relationship and strategy..

Background: Traditionally defined boundaries and borders between organizations are at present being re-evaluated because of new and tougher demands. Today we can see a trend where these boundaries are being lowered or even eliminated when organizations choose to co-operate instead of compete. Purpose: In order to create an understanding for the partner selection process in the newly founded joint ventures between the companies which are building the Swedish 3G Network, the determining factors are being studied. Delimitation: The studies companies are co-operating as network operators but are at the same time competing as mobile operators. This relationship is in the literature described as co-opetition, which will not be investigated in this paper.

Att bli ensam efter förlust av partner förändrar hela livet radikalt. Personer som efterlämnats behöver all hjälp och stöd de kan få för att kunna hantera situationen som änka och änkeman. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva äldre personers upplevelse av att bli ensam efter förlust av partner. Med hjälp av en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats analyserades 13 vetenskapliga och internationellt publicerade artiklar. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: att känna tomhet, rädsla och ilska, att ha stöd när livet förändras, att känna utanförskap men även frihet och att sakna sitt tidigare liv.
