The main purpose of this master thesis is to investigate in what ways library and public preschool cooperate with families with immigrants background in developing and protecting children's languages and cultures in two districts, Hässleholmen and Norrby, in the community of Borås. I want to investigate the parent's meaning of view according to which roles the libraries and public preschools involvement play. The study is based on qualitative interviews. Nine interviews were undertaken with parents who live in these two districts and five interviews with the librarians and preschool teachers who work in the libraries or the public preschools. The study of relevant literature, which describes topics such as psychological aspects of immigration, facts about children with immigrant's background and their language development and multicultural librarianship, provides a basis for the discussion.

The aim of this study is to explore the approach and views on female genital mutilation(FGM) among young women from Somalia, and how they perceive the tradition afterimmigration to Sweden. This is structured under the following questions: What do theyknow about FGM? What are their experiences? And what do they reckon about FGMtoday? The study is based on one recorded interview with a group of young femalesfrom Somalia. The data were analysed using qualitative content analysis. The women?sfeelings were ambivalent though they on one hand opposed FGM because of serioushealth risks, but on the other hand were conscious of the tradition?s great influence inthe social network and daily life.

The Swedish right-wing party the Sweden Democrats gathered much attention during the Swedish general election of 2010. The party?s immigration policy clashed with other major Swedish parties perceptions and the Sweden Democrats got major coverage in Swedish media even before the election had taken place. Despite controvercies surrounding the party, they eventually succeeded in getting into the parliament.This study explores how the coverage of the Sweden Democrats in five large Swedish newspapers has changed between 2009 and 2013. This was done by studying two periods, each period taking place a year before the next general election.

Upphovsrätt är den rätt som författare, kompositörer, konstnärer och andra upphovsmän har till sina verk. Bestämmelserna om detta finns i lagen (1960:729) om upphovsrätt till litterära och konstnärliga verk. Upphovsrätt avser att ge rättsligt skydd för resultat av andligt skapande i vilken form det än föreligger samt en rätt till ersättning för skapade verk. Upphovsrätten har emellertid tvingats genomgå omfattande förändringar på grund av den tekniska utvecklingen som sker på området. Den digitala teknologin möjliggör idag att det snabbt, billigt och enkelt går att framställa nästan exakta kopior av skyddade verk i alla former och att överföra dem till ett stort antal mottagare med hjälp av internationella nätverk som Internet.

Anledningen till att vi skrev denna rapport var att vi ville fördjupas oss i ämnet samt att vi tycker att det är ett samhällsproblem. Generellt sett har antalet jägare i dagens samhälle ökat och därmed också jakttrycket, till följd av detta ökar även antalet brottstillfällen. Vi ville undersöka möjligheterna att uppdaga och förebygga jakt- fiskebrott i Västerbottens inland, samt undersöka möjligheterna till ett utökat samarbete mellan olika parter. Vi har därmed kommit fram till att de polisiära problemen går att lösa med mer utbildning om jakt fiskebrott till utredarna och ett mer utvidgat samarbete mellan de parter som berörs. För att få så mycket information som möjligt om dagens syn på jakten och fisket i Västerbottens inland, har vi intervjuat berörda personer inom Länsstyrelsen, Jakt- fiskebevakare och poliser som idag jobbar med jakt- fiskebrotts utredningar och även funnit några statliga utredningar inom detta ämne.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how the Swedish Film Institute?s arguments regarding file sharing, copyright and the Internet relates to the changes made in the Swedish copyright law during 2003 and 2007, using the current debate about surveillance versus liberty on the Internet as a backdrop. The theory used is based on Lawrence Lessig?s ideas about how a network such as the Internet can be controlled, and what regulating forces a government can use to constrain a certain behavior such as illegal file sharing. By examining referral statements made by the Swedish Film Institute to five different communications from the Swedish government regarding copyright and film politics an idea analysis is being used as a method to answer the following sub-questions: 1.) How has the Swedish copyright law evolved during the latest years? 2.) What arguments are being used by the Swedish Film Institute in issues regarding file sharing, copyright and the Internet? 3.) Are the arguments being used by the Swedish Film Institute regarding these issues changing during the examined period? The findings of the study show that the Swedish Film Institute has been eager to support a more powerful expansion of the copyright laws, often suggesting more powerful solutions than the Swedish government itself.

The Court of Justice of the European Union has progressively revised the rule of purely internal situations to ensure a wider scope of application of the economic freedoms as well as the EU citizenship right to move and reside freely within the Union. This development, combined with the increasing importance of fundamental rights, has strengthened the family life protection of those EU citizens who come within the scope of EU law. The limit between the individuals who may benefit from a EU right to family reunification and fundamental rights protection and those who find themselves in purely internal situations has, however, become more legally uncertain. The disadvantage suffered by those who fall outside the scope of EU law is known as reverse discrimination.The 2011 case Zambrano confirmed the trend towards an increasingly generous EU law protection of family life in cases where the exercise of freedom of movement and enjoyment of EU citizenship rights is potentially restricted by a Member State measure. By contrast, in the subsequent McCarthy- case, it became clear that families in purely internal situations may only rely on national immigration and procedural law to obtain family reunification and protection of their fundamental rights.

Med hjälp av en enkätundersökning undersöks några av de demografiska och ekonomiska faktorer som utmärker en remittör, vilka kanaler för överföringar som används och med vilken frekvens som pengar skickas till utlandet. Data samlades in genom en enkät tillgänglig på Internet under två månaders tid under hösten 2007 och målgruppen var utlandsfödda och senare generationers invandrare i Sverige. För att nå ut till målgruppen kontaktades ett antal invandrarorganisationer och andra organisationer som organiserar utlandsfödda. Sex grupper valde att delta och antalet svarande är begränsat vilket minskar generaliseringsmöjligheterna. Det insamlade datamaterialet analyseras med hjälp av tabellanalys och regressionsanalys.

I filmen Darwins mardröm skildras fiskeindustrin i Victoriasjön och dess kopplingar till illegal vapenhandel. Denna handel påverkas och möjliggörs av ekonomiska och politiska aktörers intressen, vilka har rötter som sträcker sig över staters gränser. Vi har, genom en kvalitativ textanalys, analyserat intervjuer i filmen och funnit att både regeringar, transnationella nätverk och företag gör ekonomiska förtjänster på vapenhandelns fortgående. Tillkortakommanden i de nationella och de internationella lagar och förordningar som reglerar denna handel innefattar korruption och organiserad brottslighet. Enligt Mary Kaldor är termen nya krig användbar för att förklara och förstå de förändringar som på senare tid skett inom krigsföringen, vilka kan härledas till en ökande transnationell sammanbundenhet.

The objective of this Bachelor thesis is to analyze moving patterns in Norrköping?s municipality. The main aim is to analyze the migration to, from, and within the municipality of Norrköping, not only for the population as a whole but also for groups of special interest. Another aim is to compare migration patterns in Norrköping with those of other municipalities in Sweden.Several data sets have been used, each of them extracted from population statistics carried out by Statistics Sweden (SCB).Data mining using association analysis is used for finding the migration pattern within Norrköping?s municipality and several questions are examined using descriptive statistics.

Denna uppsats utreder hur Sydsvenskan, Svenska Dagbladet och Aftonbladet mellan den 1 januari 2007 och den 31 december 2007 i sammanlagt 152 artiklar framställde problematiken kring fildelning. Utredningen görs genom att lyfta fram de motsättningar som finns i medierapporteringen av fildelning.En kvantitativ innehållsanalys utgör grunden för den kvalitativa studien. I den kvalitativa analysen använder vi oss i huvudsak av teorier som berör mediepåverkan och etik. Till exempel använder vi oss av Maxwell McCombs teori om mediernas dagordningsfunktion och Göran Collstes beskrivningar av konsekvensetiska teorier. Resultaten pekar på att det existerar en osäkerhet i de studerade tidningarna kring hur man ska förhålla sig i fildelningsdebatten.

This thesis analyses how the European Unions institutions deal with the issue of illegal and harmful content on the Internet in key documents presented during the period 19961999. Particular attention is attached to content where the legal status is determined in relation to the user and to content that is legal, but characterized as harmful and entailing a need for special protective measures. The theoretical and methodological approach draws on discourse theory as formulated by Laclau and Mouffe. The thesis studies how the problem is represented in key documents from the European Commission, the Council of the European Union, the European Parliament, the Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions, with particular regard to the discourse on harmfulness, the child and Europe. The findings are that the overall discourse has shifted focus over time, from an emphasis on the protection of minors toward a more market-oriented discourse stressing the importance of protecting the competitiveness of the European economy.

The aim of this study was to determine to what degree the framing of the political party the Sweden Democrats had changed in swedish media, from 2010 in contrast to 2012. Particular interest was directed towards the framing of the party as a problem.This was done by studying the news articles during 12 weeks in 2010, and 12 weeks in 2012, in the newspapers Aftonbladet and Expressen. These particular newspapers were especially interesting to study since they have been outspokenly critical of the party. Both of the newspapers can be said to be among the most clearly critical towards the Sweden Democrats.I studied 256 published articles retrieved through the news database Newsline. Quantitative content analysis was used to determine patterns and tendencies.

Ipred-lagen, som trädde i kraft den 1 april 2009, implementerades i lag om upphovsrätt till litterära och konstnärliga verk. Bestämmelserna, som infördes i 53 c-g §§ URL, innebär att det har blivit lättare att ingripa mot illegal fildelning på Internet. Upphovsrättsinnehavare har, enligt bestämmelserna, rätt att få ut information om ursprung och distributionsnät för de varor eller tjänster som intrånget gäller, efter beslut av domstol. Förfarandet kallas informationsföreläggande. Bestämmelserna genomfördes trots personuppgiftslagens bestämmelser om att människor ska skyddas mot att deras personliga integritet kränks genom behandling av personuppgifter.I uppsatsen analyseras var gränsen mellan upphovsrättsinnehavares ekonomiska intressen och skyddet för den personliga integriteten ska anses gå genom studerande av bestämmelserna om informationsföreläggande i 53 c-g §§ URL i förhållande till bestämmelser kring skyddet för den personliga integriteten.Analysen visar klart att lagstiftningen på områdena är utformad till upphovsrättsinnehavarnas fördel och att skyddet för den personliga integriteten ofta får stå tillbaka för upphovsrättsinnehavarnas ekonomiska intressen.
