Detta examensarbete syftar till att ge en bild av hur högstadietjejer ser på sin kropp med tanke på de ideal som vi har i samhället i dag. Genom en kvantitativ studie har jag även undersökt vilka erfarenheter och föreställningar som finns kring bantning och olika dieter, samt vilka faktorer som påverkar dessa erfarenheter och föreställningar hos dessa tjejer. Media samt vänner och familj är de faktorer som visade sig vara relevanta att ta med i arbetet. Därefter har jag studerat vilka konsekvenser en negativ självbild kan få när det gäller tjejernas hälsa. Anorexi, bulimi och benskörhet är några av de konsekvenser som nämns.

The recent decades have been characterised by a trend where the public sector's been inspired by several methods and strategies from the private sector. The public library is in this case no exception. In this context there are different perspectives on whether or not this will lead to a dramatic change of the role and values of the traditional public library. The aim of this master's thesis is to make a contribution to a deeper understanding of the ideological conflicts within the Swedish public library and its relation to the market. In the literature of library and information science I have identified two separate discourses representing two contradictory systems of meaning concerning this relation.

The foundation for this thesis lies in whether or not, and how, the body representation in printed commercials, specific products directed to the body (shampoo, body lotion etc.), has changed during the last fifty years. Four years have been chosen because of the changes in society that we believe might have had an impact. The commercials that have been picked out are the ones that best represent the general view of the body. We have found that the changes when it comes to body presentation has followed the social development to a certain degree, but it is difficult to say how much the society has had an affect on the body ideal in advertising. Representations of the male body is something that has escalated since the early 70?s, fifteen years earlier few commercials was made with male models, and the few there were, never showed more than the face.

The Swedish working-class author Ivar Lo-Johansson (1901-1990) wrote a collection of one hundred short stories between the years 1968-1972. His other productions, generally speaking, have partially different social reform purposes, but, according to himself, these short stories were written with the intention to be totally free of tendencies (even though he himself doubted that he succeeded with this).During the same period that these short stories were published, the Swedish social democrats were under the challenge of radical movements that, mainly on the radical left?s ideological foundation, had a relatively strong influence in Sweden, among other countries, from the mid 1960?s to the late 1970?s. Since Lo-Johansson mainly seemed to have supported the politics of the social democrats, the purpose of the investigation in this thesis has been to see if he ? in the three short stories: Vikingakärlek (1970), Rikslögnaren (1971) and Ansgars resa till Sverige (1972) ? is conveying an ideological use of history and basic political values that were used by the social democratic party during this time period.

Det är denna bild som framställs i programserien påverkar därigenom samhällets diskurser kring läraryrket, lärarens roll och lärarens ansvar.I programserien ser man lärarna ibland göra saker som det inte alltid finns stöd för i pedagogik litteraturen vid Göteborgs Universitet. I den bemärkelsen blir det problematiskt att dessa lärare ses som ett ideal att sträva efter i det offentliga rummet.

The purpose of this thesis is to systematically describe and map how authorities define the school library and its function based on the current policy documents for the Swedish upper secondary school. The study is guided by the following questions: ? What dimensions does the school library have according to the explicit definitions, descriptions and requirements? ? What implicit arguments, references and unspoken assumptions about the school library and its role, function and significance can be derived? The study is delimited to the national policy documents, which have been divided into two groups ? structural and teaching focused ? corresponding to the two questions above. Further delimitations have been made to avoid noise and to manage a manual content analysis. Each question required its own analysis tool.

Det som idag är Bosnien och Hercegovinas konstitution är en del av Daytonavtalet, fredsavtalet för kriget 1992-1995. I den här uppsatsen granskar vi konstitutionen utifrån hur den påverkar de etniska gruppernas interaktion. Bosnien och Hercegovinas politiska uppbyggnad har många likheter med consociational democracy. Därför kommer vi använda Donald L Horowitzs kritik av consociational democracy i vår analys. Vi granskar närmare skolsystemet, valsystemet och ansvarsfördelningen mellan entiteterna och den federala regeringen och analyserar hur de påverkar tolerans och interaktion mellan de etniska grupperna i landet.

Library architecture today is a complicated history. Public libraries are no longer merely a place for book storage, but also a virtual library a social meeting place and a place for study. All these diverse tasks and roles emerge in the democratic designing process of a new library and also transform into the architecture. The underlying process is the evaluation and negotiation of the libraries overall tasks and ideas, ideals and values. Multiple ideologies are incorporated in library architecture.

Title: Jaunty Vaasa-lads and lazy boys ? a study of masculinity and patriotism in the Civil Guard in Vaasa in relation to the Finnish Civil War of 1918.This paper deals with the subject of expressions of masculinity in relation to patriotism and nationalism as a part of the mobilisation of the so called white side in the Finnish Civil War of 1918. With regards to how this was expressed in the local Civil Guard in the town of Vaasa. The focus   lies on the construction of an ideal masculinity within this specific Civil Guard as expressed            in the Guards own documents of different varieties, during the events in the spring of 1918 and at the one year anniversary of its outbreak. The aim of this essay is to examine whether democracy in St Petersburg isconsolidated or not. Since studies of democratic transition have been rarelyconducted on post-communist cities, this study seems fruitful. Using the Linz andStepan theory, where democracy is considered consolidated when it has become?the only game in town? and Orttung's three criteria legitimacy, politicalpolarisation and policy effectiveness; this essay analyzes people's attitudes,political behaviour, the rule of law and civil society in St Petersburg. Theory isused to interpret the material mainly consisting of two interviews and newspaperarticles.

The main purpose of the culture is to serve people and represent the people's social will and freedom. Culture does not exist in a vacuum but shaped and framed by political and artistic structures that are not neutral, and this is why the artwork itself cannot be an independent business. The public function of art can be understood as a defense of the ideals of democracy. But today, when political power is often replaced by hegemony, the role of art and functions are changing. How these changes reflect to the identity, reality and truth of society? What political functions are fulfilled when art becomes ?public?? The issue of democracy is linked question of people?s power in a democratic society where power is legitimized in social space.

The aim of this essay is to illustrate a fundamental question; what is a democracy allowed to do to protect itself from enemies? I´ve chosen to analyze the conflict between the two values; individual integrity and state´s security. The individual integrity refers to every person's right to have a protected sphere, and the stat´s security refers to its right to protect itself, and these two positions are often time incompatible. This conflict of value is shown in a normative analysis, where depending on which perspective or normative logic is seen as primate, it gives different conclusions to what a democracy should do to defend itself.To demonstrate how severe the threats are against the society, I choose to examine a specific part of the organized crime, the outlaw motorcycle gangs. They have a special position in affecting the legal system because they have an explicit aim to influence the judicial system with scaremongering and threats.

SYFTE & FRÅGESTÄLLNINGAR Genom vår studie vill vi beskriva den inverkan Instagram har på tjejer och killar i årskurs tre på gymnasiet vad gäller kroppsideal avseende självidentitet, kultur och makt.Hur påverkar medier ungas uppfattning omkroppsideal? Vilken roll har Instagram vad gäller ungdomars syn på kroppsideal och identitetsskapande?METOD &MATERIAL Kvalitativ metod med två fokusgruppsdiskussioner som totalt innefattar tolv personer, sex tjejer och sex killar. Resultatet från våra fokusgrupper har analyserats med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys.RESULTAT Vi har i vår studie sett tydliga samband mellan media, identitet och bekräftelse på så sätt att media påverkar ungas uppfattning om kroppsideal, deras identitet och bekräftelsebehov. .

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the conceptualisation of the social relations of class and gender within the Social Democratic Women?s Association during the period 1972 ? 1993, on the basis of their programmes for action. The analysis of the concepts is based on an ideology critical study focusing on the manifest ideology.The study is based upon the theoretical concepts of class and gender,  The class analysis is based upon the broadened concepts of class by Erik Olin Wright and Ira Katznelson. The gender analysis is mainly based upon a Marxist understanding and a critical point of view of Marxism and feminism in the context of patriarchy and capitalism.The period of the study is where the social democracy is challenged, both by radical socialism and feminist ideology and the economic crisis during the 1980?s, as well as the possible threat of an organised women?s party in Sweden.
