Regionalization has become a catchphrase in European countries during the last twenty years with the establishment of the European Union. An ideational development has occurred during time towards emphasing more politicially powerful regions with the idea of new regionalism. Sweden represents a deviant case study, where regions historically have been politically weak and where Sweden has been characterized as a strong unitary state. The aim of this paper is to analyze the political debate in the Swedish parliament concerning the implementation of a stronger regional level (storregioner) during 2007-2010 and to determine if the debate can be characterized as a case of depoliticalization. The theory of depoliticalization have been introduced by Richard Katz and Peter Mair to explain why political parties through external pressure from europeanisation and globalization tend to become more consensual with similar political agendas, leading to a diminished the lef-right scale.

This is a bachelor thesis that studies and discuss the question: How can we develop our individual narrative technique with sound design in a Swedish drama production? We have done research and empirical studies. We have analyzed movies to get an idea how we use the sound design in Swedish drama productions today. Because of new emission and on board diagnostics legislations, heavy truck manufacturers are facing new challenges when it comes to improving the engines and the control software. Accurate and real time executable engine models are essential in this work. One successful way of lowering the NOx emissions is to use Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR). The objective of this thesis is to create a mean value model for Scania's next generation EGR system consisting of a poppet valve and a two stage cooler. The model will be used to extend an existing mean value engine model.

Den här studien undersöker hur faktorerna etnicitet, genus, funktionsförmåga, generation/ålder och klass ur ett intersektionellt perspektiv skapas, rekonstrueras och samspelar i läslärorna Den magiska kulan och Briljant svenska. Studien har genomförts med hjälp av en kritisk diskusanalys enligt Faircloughs tredimensionella modell och är uppdelad i två delstudier. Syftet är att se hur dessa faktorer skildras samt undersöka samspelet mellan dessa. Vidare diskuterar studien vilka normer och värderingar som kan tänkas förmedlas i och med användandet av de aktuella läslärorna. Studien visar att böckerna skapar och upprätthåller en gräns mellan minoritet och majoritet, där majoriteten tillskrivs en överordnad roll. .

But what happens when the small talk around the coffee machine in the workplace gets out in public spaces? Instead of complaining to my closest colleague when my boss is acting like a fool or when my workload sky rocketed, I might now instead update my status on facebook with my complaint. But what am I actually allowed to write about my employer? The objective of this essay was to analyse if the same housing needs are assessed equally by Swedish welfare agencies in ten districts in Malmö. If not, why?Welfare officers from all districts were interviewed. They were all working with homelessness among families. We had an idea that the districts were forced to prioritize because of the meagre recourses, and that clients who really needs help doesn't get what they need.

Local cultural environment planning in Sweden often comes to rely on municipal heritage plans. These plans are meant to facilitate management of local cultural values, work as a tool for local planning and increase awareness of cultural environments for the public. In the last decades public participation in planning has become more and more of the ideal strategy, challenging the idea of cultural environment planning as an expert-led field. The idea of the field as one that implicates public participation as a strategy has been fortified in Sweden through national goals, government bills and conventions. Nevertheless the implementation of public participation in municipal heritage plans remains quite uncharted. The aim of this study is to explore public participation in regards to how municipal heritage plans are developed and the perception of public participation in cultural environment planning amongst professionals, comparing bigger and smaller municipalities.

The development within the textile industry is always ongoing with development of new andbetter textiles, which often mean the use of non-natural materials like polyester. This doesn?t lineup with the work shared around the world against an improved environment, so the idea came touse a form of linen fibers instead of polyester as the reinforcing material together with cotton.The idea was to use flax, linen of low quality, which is seen as a waste product and garbage inthe production of high quality linen and flax seed oil. This flax of low quality needs to beseparated before it can be used in cotton spinning machines. Fireball 2 is just that, a process toseparate flax fibers through the treatment of a technique called electrohydraulic discharge.The thesis works goal is to evaluate the Fireball 2 process ability to separate flax fiber.

Offentlig skulptur är en viktig del av ett samhälles/en stads offentliga miljö. Tillsammans med arkitekturen blir det samhället/stadens ansikte. 1960-talet var en brytningstid, konstdebatten tog fart i Sverige en ny generation konstnärer var på väg. De var gränsöverskridande både i fråga om uttrycksmedel och tekniker. Konsten fick en ny funktion, den skulle förmedla ett budskap den skulle ta ställning i samhällsdebatten.

De senaste åren har mjölkbesättningarna i Sverige förändrats. Det mest dominerande sättet har varit att hålla korna bundna men efterhand som mjölkgårdarna har rationaliserats och blivit modernare har det blivit vanligare att många lantbrukare ställt om till lösdrift. År 2007 bestämde jordbruksverket att alla nya stallar som ska byggas för mjölkkor ska vara lösdriftssystem, vilket innebär att våra bundna besättningar kommer försvinna i framtiden. Det här examensarbetet har ställt frågan till mjölkproducenter med bundna kor hur de ser på framtiden för sina besättningar. Idag (2011) finns det 348 100 mjölkkor i Sverige. Av dem står ungefär hälften i uppbundna system.
