The purpose of this qualitative thesis is to describe and analyse the implementation of an education system in the newly independent state, Timor Leste. One question to be discussed is whether an emergency phase is still going on in the development of a functioning school system, or if Timor Leste already reached a capacity building phase? Via the participant's answers in field observations and interviews, the study analyses the clashes between generations, social classes and different levels in relation to the choice of Portuguese as an official language and the international environment in the country. International negotiation is the link between international planning and implementation. The ability to negotiate successfully may very well depend on the efforts being put into preparatory activities, leading to the purpose of this research, to gain a better understanding of pre-negotiation in an international context, by exploring, describing and partly explaining the process. Personal interviews were conducted with two Swedish international companies to obtain thorough information within the area. The collected data from these two cases are discussed, compared and then finally used to draw general conclusions. The study indicates the different issues that either occur or should be considered prior to the first formal meeting in an international negotiation.

The transformation within the swedish infrastructure has been a slow process from thebeginning of time. For almost a decade, the traditional form of contracting regardingbuildings and foremost infrastructure has evolved contracting involving the owner to definethe outcome of the product, regardless involvement from the supposed contractor. As forthe swedish market, the traditional design-bid-build (DBB) have been the primary choice ofcontracting. Although changes have been made over time regarding contracting formswithin the road administration, the railway sector has not improved or justified changesregarding choice of contracting, they have conducted same contracting relationshipsbetween them and the contractor.This bachelor thesis, conducted at the Swedish railway administration with supervision ofprofessor Kristian Widén at Lunds University, explores the forces behind the new era ofcontracting within the railway administration. This bachelor thesis focuses mainly oncontracting regarding design-build-operate-main (DBOM), the new contracting formulabetween the owner and the contractor.

Denna studie presenterar en ny synvinkel inom ämnet att göra hasardspel online mer realistiska. Fjorton personer spelade i tjugo minuter två versioner av ett välkänt franskt roulettespel där utvalda variabler loggades. Den ena versionen fungerade precis som i ett skarpt läge medan den andra innehöll en implementation av kontextfaktorbaserade ljudeffekter. Utifrån loggningen av variabler, samt en kompletterande enkätundersökning, räknades det sedan ut om det förekom någon skillnad mellan versionerna och, i förlängning, spellupplevelsen.Resultatet jag fick fram redovisade förändringar i några av de variabler som hade valts ut och enkätundersökningen indikerade på att det kan ha varit ljudeffekterna som skapat denna förändring..

Arbetet har gjorts åt Saab Security Systems i Växjö. Syftet med arbetet har varit att ta fram ett generellt distribuerat informationssystem som ska användas för informationsspridning på en flygplats. Från Saabs sida är målet med att införa ett nytt informationssystem att få en generell standard för hur informationsspridning ska gå till. På det nya informationssystemet ställs krav på flexibilitet, att det ska vara utbyggningsbart, att det ska finnas möjlighet att ansluta nya aktörer samt att det ska vara en tjänstebaserad arkitektur. Den övergripande frågställningen för arbetet har varit som följer.Kan tjänstabaserad arkitektur vara en lösning för hur information kan överföras på ett säkert sätt mellan flygklubbarna och flygledartornet?Under arbetets gång har en teoretisk studie gjorts där fem olika mellanprogram jämförts utifrån transport av information, tjänstebeskrivning, tjänsteregistrering och upptäckt samt säkerhet.

The report is a project in cooperation with the Swedish toy company Playsam. The assignment was to design a new toy to their range of products, a pull along toy in shape of a snail with a mechanical function. The research phase contains studies and analysis of the company, its identity, product range and its customers. The research phase includes all the information needed to complete the project. A number of concepts were presented for evaluation by the company.

I denna rapport presenteras hur en simulatorlösning för funktionstestning av en gruvmaskin har tagits fram. Arbetet har skett i Atlas Copcos regi och består av tre delar: kartläggning i form av intervjuer, utvärdering av befintliga simulatoralternativ och slutligen val och implementation av lösning. Resultatet visar på en konceptuell prototyp, där en gruvmaskin visualiseras i en 3D-miljö tillsammans med en virtuell gruvgång. Detta möjliggör bland annat testning av autonom navigering, alltså att en gruvmaskin självständigt styr utifrån avläsning av tunnelväggar med hjälp av laser. Samtidigt tillåter lösningen också att kontrollvärden från olika sensorer, såsom vinkelgivare, kan hämtas ut ur simuleringen..

Examensarbetet utforskar möjligheten av en integration mellan OP5 Monitor och NilexPlus, och utfördes under en femveckorsperiod hos Data Ductus i Uppsala.Syftet med projektet var att ta reda på om det fanns ett sätt att få larm i OP5 Monitor att komma in som ärenden i Nilex Plus och om man kunde bekräfta lammen direkt från ärendet i Nilex Plus.OP5 Monitor är en utveckling av Nagios Core skapat av OP5 AB, som är ett svenskbaserat företag som även under en period erbjöd den enda kommersiella supporten av Nagios.NilexPlus är ett ITIL-kompatibelt program för ärendehantering samt incident- och problemrapportering skapat av Nilex AB.Rapporten innehåller detaljer om vår inlärningsperiod med OP5 Monitor och NilexPlus och resultatet av examensarbetet är en nästintill fullt lyckad implementation i testmiljön och även dokumentation av hur den nya integrationen mellan OP5 och NilexPlus ska utföras..

Denna rapport tar upp problem med revisionskontroll i realtidsbaserade kollaborativa system. Enligt Fan & Sun (2012a); Fan & Sun (2012b) behöver man bryta kraven som definerar realtidsbaserade system för att uppnå detta.Den stubbaserade lösningen som beskrivs i rapporten lyckas minska antalet fel i testfallen som utförts i fallstudierna. Genom att implementera personliga editeringsflikar och stubbar är det möjligt att ha revisisionskontroll i ett realtidsbaserat system. Dock för att detta ska vara effektivt och användbart bör detta endast användas i specifika fall och med noggrann granskning.Fallstudien som genomförts visar inte på några imponerande siffror men en förbättring är fortfarande möjlig vid specifika fall..

I en IT-värld med växande antal standardiserade API:er såuppstår möjligheten med delade tjänster. Istället för att fleraenskilda bolag utvecklar egna liknande tjänster så kan deistället gå samman och tillsammans utveckla en gemensamdelad tjänst. En sådan tjänst skulle då kommunicera motrespektive bolags implementation av ett standardiserat API.Tanken är att flera bolag ska kunna använda sammaapplikation men bara se sin egen data.Den här studien undersöker hur en sådan applikation ska seut. Vilka funktioner är nödvändiga för att kunna hantera dedata fås av de olika API:erna. Arbetet delas in i faser därman först undersöker vilka funktioner som är nödvändiga.Sedan implementeras ett par demoapplikationer för attkontrollera att funktionerna fungerar som de ska.

In the present case, the conception of policy hitchhiking gets evaluated in terms of its implications for democracy. This essay examines how public planners and the inhabitants of södra Gårda relate to the physical planning of the area and to the demolition versus the preservation of the quarters Eken and Cedern, and how the dialogue between planners and citizens appears to be. How do the planners and policymakers relate to citizen participation in urban planning, and how is participatory planning carried out in the legislation, rhetorically and in practice. Former research indicates a distinct gap between rhetorics, legislation and actions in practice regarding citizen participation in planning, which is why we find it an interesting topic for further research. The essay aims to highlight the different actors interests and visions of the development of the area. Which are the standpoints and arguments the different actors set out for the future visions of the area? The essay focuses on citizen participation in urban planning in the city of Gothenburg.
