During 40 years of industrial production, from the end of the 1890?s until the end of 1930?s, coal and wood distillation products were manufactured in AB Carbo?s tar factory along the River Gimån in Grötingen, in the county of Jämtland, Sweden. In accordance with the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency?s Methods for Inventories of contaminated sites, MIFO, the site in Grötingen has been identified as a potentially contaminated site. In order to determine whether toxic substances pose a threat to human health and ecological systems in the area, there was a need to investigate the presence of contaminants, their levels and potential for migration.

In Örebro, the car traffic share does not tend to decrease. The crowdedness on some of the bus routes is high at times. Investigations show that the residents of Örebro want a city centre whose street environment is more restrictive of car traffic and better for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. To decrease the car traffic share a rapid, convenient, clear, effective and environmental friendly public transport with high frequency and strong capacity in a short, direct and logical network is needed. A modern tramway fulfils these criteria.At first, this report describes factors that are important to take into consideration when planning a tramway.

Emerson Network Power Energy Systems är ett globalt företag som skapar system för avbrottsfri strömförsörjning för tele- och IT-kommunikation. Till följd av uppköp av företag har Emerson utveckling i flera länder. De olika länderna använder dessutom olika CADsystem. Detta är ett hinder för samarbetet mellan utvecklingsavdelningarna. Den svenska avdelningen av företaget har lagt mycket tid på att utveckla ett PDM-system och anpassa det till det CAD-system som används i Sverige (NX).

SUMMARYThere was no previous study in what high level dressage riders had for ideas of how to best prepare for their training sessions with an instructor. Neither any study of how high level dressage riders seemed to be more or less susceptible to the instructions from their instructor during their training sessions. If the sport had more knowledge about this, it might result in more riders on a higher level. The purpose of this study was to find out how high level dressage riders are preparing themselves for the best result for an instructor led training session and how they could bring as much as possible instructions from the coach. The two questions of the study were: How are high level dressage riders preparing themselves for a training session with an instructor, practically and mentally, and how can they affect their susceptibility to instructions?The study was carried out both by reviewing existing literature and studies in general education and pedagogy in the riding education, and by a qualitative interview study of six dressage riders who rode on a difficult level at the competitions, during the year of 2009.

Nätverks-RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) är en metod för positionsbestämning med Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) i realtid. Metoden kräver att en driftledningscentral kan kommunicera med de GNSS-mottagare som använder referensstationsnätet, för att bland annat skicka ut korrigerade GNSS-data. I Sverige erbjuder SWEPOS, ett nät av fasta referensstationer, en tjänst för nätverks-RTK-mätning, som förväntas ge en mätosäkerhet på mindre än 15 mm i plan och 25 mm i höjd (över ellipsoiden) (med täckningsfaktorn k = 1 i bägge fallen). Den teknik som idag används av SWEPOS för att utföra positionsbestämning av GNSS-mottagare är Virtuell Referensstation (VRS). VRS kräver tvåvägskommunikation eftersom mottagaren skickar in sin absoluta position till nätverks-RTK-programvaran hos driftledningscentralen, var beräkningarna av korrektionsdata sker, innan de skickas tillbaka till mottagaren.

Each year, the coffee machines at Ericsson in Kista produce around 100 tons of ground coffee waste.The companies Coor Service Management, Löfbergs Lila and Selecta are all responsible for differentstages in the logistical chain in delivering coffee and, together with Ericsson, they want to increasetheir environmental benefit. The plan is to produce biogas through anaerobic digestion instead ofincinerating the coffee waste in a heating plant. The results are to be presented as different businesscases in which different biogas plants are compared with the reference case (heating plant),comparing costs and environmental impacts.There are two major environmental benefits from producing biogas; reduced carbon dioxideemissions from when fossile fule is replaced by carbon neutral biogas, and reduced emissions fromreturning digestate from the bio reactor to farmland instead of using industrial fertelizer.In order to determine the biogas potential in coffee waste, a couple of properties had to bedetermined in a laboratory. Properties such as the dry substance content, heating value, moisturecontent and ash content. The results show that 100 tons coffee waste could produce around 16 500Nm3 biogas which would contain 163 MWh.The biogas reactor and upgrade plant both need energy gas to function and uses around 14 MWh ofthe produced gas.

The purpose of the Sharing Economy is to exploit unused resources between people, as an alternative to buying new and owning themselves (Gansky, 2010). Gansky (2010) argues that a major reason why the Sharing Economy has grown in recent times is, besides from the recession and people?s increased environmental awareness, the urbanization which has made people move closer to each other and in to the big cities. This in addition to an increased use of GPS technology in smartphones enables people to be constantly connected to an ever-changing network. People now share and exchange services and products from each other.

The trend in milk production is similar in Sweden and across the world; the farms are getting fewer but increasingly bigger. The costs for hiring workers are increasing, which results in more cows per animal keeper. Sensors can then be a great tool for keeping track of animals which need special attention. With a reported decreasing fertility, sensors that can detect oestrus even at low levels can be especially helpful in bigger herds to pinpoint the cows that may be in oestrus. The number of farms with dairy cows that install AMS, Automatic Milking Systems, are increasing, and that also increases the need for sensors to control milk quality and composition when there is no visual control of the milk by a milker before milking starts.For the sensor data to be useful you have to have software designed to analyze and interpret the data to get relevant information that the farmer can use.

Medarbetarskapet har på senare tid blivit mer och mer aktuellt i både den privata och offentligasektorn. Organisationer och företag har börjat se sina medarbetare som de centrala aktörerna isina verksamheter, istället för att enbart se till cheferna och deras ledarskap. I stort handlarmedarbetarskapet om hur medarbetarna på en arbetsplats hanterar sin relation till sinarbetsgivare, till det egna arbetet och till sina arbetskollegor. Det medarbetarskap som råder på en arbetsplats kan, enligt litteraturen, beskrivas i termer av öppenhet och förtroende, engagemangoch meningsfullhet, gemenskap och samarbete samt ansvarstagande och initiativtagande.Vårt syfte med den här uppsatsen har varit att undersöka det medarbetarskap som existerar i tvåav Lilla Edets kommuns äldreomsorgsverksamheter. Genom enkäter och intervjuer har vi undersökt medarbetarnas och chefernas uppfattning om det rådande medarbetarskapet, och deras vilja till delaktighet gällande förbättring och utveckling av deras medarbetarskap.

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate the influencing factors on the businesspotential of products with health claims, using PrimaLiv as an example. And togive recommendations on how a dairy producer, which is present in the Swedishmarket, could improve the sales rates of products with health claims. We have chosento put a main focus on the consumer, as he or she determines the business potential.This is an unusual approach since most studies cover the producer?s perspective. Wethereby wish to contribute with new knowledge on the area in question.

Att utreda möjligheterna att etablera dataförsörjning riktade mot multimodala transporttjänster är idag av största intresse. Det är också intressant att försöka utnyttja de standarder som tagits fram när en dataförsörjningskedja ska etableras. Detta examensarbete genomfördes på Triona AB i Borlänge. Triona har utvecklat databasen Transport Network Engine (TNE), som idag används för att läsa in data från Nationella VägDataBasen (NVDB) och från skogsnäringen. Målet med arbetet var att ta fram en informationsmodell, som beskriver hur ett transportnät med nätanknutna data, som stödjer multimodala transporter och resor, kan lagras i TNE.

Higher demands of competitiveness and efficiency have led to increasing sizes of farms, with more land, more capital and more comprehensive logistics. The aim is to gain benefits of scale economies that reduce the production cost per unit. However, a greater extent of the business exposes the farm of increased risk where small deviations rapidly can erase the benefits. A modern dairy farm thus put high demands on the farmer?s ability to coordinate, plan and manage the forage production through the whole process until storage to obtain silage of the desired quality and quantity at the right price. En ökad textilkonsumtion har lett fram till en problematik kring miljöpåverkan på grund av den ökade mängden använda textilier som ska hanteras efter produkternas död. För att ta till vara på de dyrbara resurser som har använts för att skapa textila produkter, har intresset för återvinning av textila fibrer ökat. Forskningen inom återvinning av bomullsfibrer har däremot inte kommit tillräckligt långt för att produktion av återvunna fibrer av hög kvalité ska kunna göras storskalig. Detta speciellt eftersom problem med exempelvis blandfibrer och separerbarhet försvårar arbetet. Det finns förändringar som kan göras av modeföretag i produktutvecklingsfasen redan idag, vilka kan underlätta återvinningsprocessen och syftar till att skapa ett slutet system i framtiden.

Detta arbete beskriver och analyserar vilka förutsättningar som är viktiga att ta hänsyn till vid en installation av ett trådlöst nätverk hos SYSteam. Ämnet trådlösa nätverk är omfattande och komplext och många i branschen saknar idag kompetens inom området. Det finns en uppsjö av olika komponenter, krypteringar och tillvägagångssätt. Detta arbete har utförts i samarbete med SYSteam Network Center (SNC), som vill undersöka möjligheterna och vilka förutsättningar som krävs för att kunna erbjuda ett gemensamt trådlöst nätverk som uppfyller kraven att vara säkert, skalbart och centralt administrerbart från SNC. SNC vill skaffa sig en uppfattning om vilket behov som de olika bolagen hos SYSteam i Huskvarna har av ett trådlöst nätverk, och därmed få fram en gemensam bild av hur ett trådlöst nätverk bör utformas.
