Abstract Over the years the consciousness of risk has grown. It?s hard to influence risks, therefore there are guidelines stating that significant risk must be included in the annual report. This paper is a case study; the purpose was to examine how four Swedish listed companies chose to disclose their internal and external risks. This study examines the scholarly communication activities in two scientific fields, chemistry and economics, in a Polish context. The dissertation aims at investigating what characterises the publishing choices of researchers and what supplementary forms for the dissemination of research output are used by scholars. In addition, the paper is looking into what are the views and awareness of open access and institutional repositories within this scientific community. This thesis gives the results of semi-structured interviews and an online survey at two academic faculties at a Polish technical university. As its theoretical framework, the study uses Whitley?s theory of the intellectual and social organisation of academic fields and Latour and Woolgar?s study regarding various motivations for publishing.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka rekrytering inom IT-branschen. Fokusligger på IT-individen, hennes/hans mål, behov och vad som motiverar i arbetet.Undersökningen behandlar fenomenet från två perspektiv, företagets ochindividens. Metoden som används är en kvalitativ ansats. Empiri hämtat frånlitteratur och intervjuer sammanställs. Vidare presenteras ett antal psykologiskapresenteras.

This study is a thorough comparison between what people think about the website www.sl.se, which is a Swedish web-based travel planner for Stockholm metropolitan public transport (such as subways, busses and suburban trains), and how these views compares to the design of the actual website itself. The travel planner offers a wide range of functions and services for their targeted audience to find the fastest route between their current location and their destination. These functions are for example real time information on hold ups and malfunctions on different travel routes, and an interactive map of specific destinations so that the user can get a clear view of the area and nearby traffic stops. But how much does the average user care for these functions, and how often are they used on an average visit? What are the users? motivations when they visit the site? Earlier research suggested that there are services and functions on this website that are useful and well crafted, but that some people may not be aware of.

Studiens syfte var att med fokus på frivilligt arbete inom social omsorg och med hjälp av BRIS telefonjouarers egna berättelser, få en bild om vad som motiverade människor som arbetade frivilligt. Studiens frågeställningar var följande: Vad motiverade människor till frivilligt arbete på BRIS? Varför valde man att arbeta på just BRIS och inte någon annan ideell organisation? Varför valde man att engagera sig ideellt och inte professionellt i någon organisation inom liknande område? Fanns det några gemensamma nämnare bland telefonjourarna på BRIS? Studien skapades med hjälp av en kvalitativ metod. Vi intervjuade sju telefonjourare och med stöd av deras berättelse, försökte vi få en bild om motivationen bakom deras frivilliga arbete på BRIS. Vidare analyserade vi den samlade empirin med hjälp av ?meningskoncentrering?.

Strengths were an educational tone and an insightful review of the newest findings in the scientific community. Weaknesses were poor transparency and a tendency to neglect full disclosure of the scientific findings and sources. Focus was also show to be on research and not on information for potential patients.

Since criminality started to rise steeply in most western welfare states following the second world war the relationship between welfare support and criminality has been debated. For a period of time thought to be an effective preventive measure against crime welfare support has since from time to time come to be seen by some as ineffective and in some cases even as a contributing factor to the rise in crime. It remains a contested issue as new theories, such as social support theory, which is employed here, attempt to contribute to the understanding of what effects general welfare has on overall crime levels. As a connection which is relatively well-researched in the USA, altough still not yet fully understood, this study strives toward a better understanding by testing the relationship in a swedish context. The relationship might not function in the same way considering that the US is a fundamentally different welfare-regime than Sweden, liberal and social-democratic respectively.Untangling the relationship is attempted by employing a multivariate regressionanalysis on a crosssectional dataset consisting of data from 2012 covering 247 of Swedens total of 290 municipalities.

Industrialiseringen de senaste århundrandena har medfört att välståndet i många länder har ökat oerhört. Dock har utvecklingen också medfört att ekosystem, mark, luft och vatten har tagit skada. Företag som blir tillräckligt stora och mäktiga kan även skada sin sociala omgivning genom att ignorera frågor som gäller till exempel anställningsförhållanden, mänskliga rättigheter, samhällsansvar och produktansvar. Krav har därför kommit från omgivningen att företagen bör arbeta för att minimera sin skadliga inverkan på miljön och samhället. I och med detta har CSR-redovisning kommit att bli aktuellt.

Problematik: Precis som många andra turismföretag så präglas dykföretag av säsongsarbete. Under lågsäsongen arbetar året runt personalen med få turister och kollegor och under högsäsongen arbetar de intensivt tillsammans med säsongsarbetare i ett halvårs tid i en destination full av turister. När lågsäsongen närmar sig minskar turistmängden och säsongsarbetarna. Det är en livsstil för båda grupperna, men också en tillfällig period för säsongsarbetarna och en vardag för året runt personalen. Personalen har således olika förutsättningar, intressen och behov och deras arbetsmotivation skiljer sig beroende på om de är åretruntarbetare eller säsongarbetare.

Uppsatsen diskuterar vilka anledningar det finns till att använda sig av inhyrd personal från bemanningsföretag sett ur det inhyrande företagets perspektiv. Vi nämner även de argument som talar mot användningen av inhyrd personal och tittar närmare på skillnader i motivation och lojalitet hos den inhyrda personalen, samt vilka åtgärder som det inhyrda företaget vidtar för att påverka lojaliteten och motivationen hos den inhyrda personalen. Fallstudier har genomförts på Norrmejerier, BoxModul AB och Skanska Prefab Mark AB där aktörerna har varit personer med god inblick inom det berörda området. Våra tolkningar och förklaringar är inte av generell karaktär, det handlar istället om våra undersökta aktörers uppfattningar och sanningar. Uppsatsen avhandlar en kombination av teorier kring bemanningsföretag samt motivations- och lojalitetsteorier.
