The incineration of waste is steadily increasing in Sweden and so is the production of ashes. The bottom ash has for many years been used as construction material in landfills. Now many of the nation's landfills are closed and there is a great need to find another beneficial use for the ash. Bottom ash is a gravel-like material and with its material properties it can replace natural gravel in parts of roads and surface constructions. Today this use is only approved within landfill areas where leachate is collected and checked.

In connection with the admittance of the EC-directive (99/31/EC) in Swedish politic, through the constitution of waste depositing (2001:512) at year 2001, the rules about management the landfills and leachates tightened. At the landfill Vissberga in the municipality of Hallsberg, a leachate treatment plant was constructed just a year thereafter. This treatment plant consisted of an aerated pond with a following land treatment and a willow cultivation to replace the land treatment during the summer. In this case the parameters, which were estimated as the most important to reduce, were iron and nitrogen. The iron would react with the oxygen-rich water in the aerated pond and precipitate to ferric-hydroxide and than settle in a calm zone of the pond.

The thesis is about exploring possibilities for developing a standardised system solution for micro businesses, this since most of the micro business lack proper system solutions, a contributing factor of this is price and also incompatibility between the solution and the business itself. The system solutions we will refer to are solutions which task is to cover the most important needs that a micro business might have on their system. The main goal with this research is to see if this is possible, and if so, how the developers should think to take it further. We chose to do this by identifying the most significant of needs a micro business has when it comes to this type of system solution.In this thesis we will present three needs which were evaluated and brought forth through the analyses of various interviews and observations we had done during the study. The interviews took place at respective company with their employees and consisted both closed and open questions with our main focus on the open questions because we wanted to obtain as much information from the respondents as possible from several viewpoints.

Bakgrund och problem: Företag i alla storlekar och inom alla sektorer utnyttjar möjligheten att leasaeller hyra tillgångar. Det finns i nuläget två olika typer av leasingavtal; operationella och finansiella.Användningen mellan de två avtalen bidrar till olika utfall i leasetagarens finansiella rapporter.Operationella leasingavtal är den mest använda finansieringsformen eftersom den inte redovisas ileasetagarens balansräkning vilket således bidrar till goda värden på deras nyckeltal. Effekten avdetta har bidragit till försämrad jämförbarhet med de företag som använder finansiella avtal. IASBhar därför utarbetat ett utkast om förslag till ny standard där olikheterna mellan avtalen eliminerasgenom att samtliga avtal redovisas i balansräkningen. Förslagets utformning har varit mycketkontroversiellt då den innehåller komplexa redovisningskrav och bidrar till försämrade nyckeltal.

In the Swedish abattoirs there are assistants that judge the slaughtered animals in regard to diseases and injuries. All diseases and injuries assign different codes. This master?s thesis is about code 42 which means injuries of different kinds like for example bruises etc. These injuries have risen during the transport from the farm to the abattoir lairage or during the stay at the lairage before slaughter.

Waste appears to be a low-cost fuel compared to biofuel. This Masters thesis was conducted for Vattenfall Utveckling AB and deals with how waste in the fuel affects the performance of a SCR-catalyst. Different mechanisms of deactivation were surveyed, focusing on the poisoning mechanism. A literature study was carried out, which was used as a reference when analysing the results.Small samples (9x2x2 cm, 64 pieces) cut out from a full-scale unused honeycomb catalyst were exposed up to 1500h in two different combustion plants, Johannes in Gävle (co-combustion) and Högdalen in Stockholm (waste-combustion). The activity was measured mainly at 300°C but also at 250, 350, 375 and 400°C.

Despite this, nickel is still the most common cause of contactallergy in industrialized countries. This could implicate that other productswith short contact to the skin, which are not restricted by EU´s legislation inREACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicalsubstances), could be a source of nickel or cobalt exposure. There is no limitfor cobalt release within REACH. To determine if there is cobalt or nickelpresent on the surface of a material and if metal can be released in contactwith the skin, there are quantitative and qualitative methods, such as the DMG(dimethylglyoxime)-test, the cobalt spot-test and a method for releasedetermination according to EN1811.Objectives: Laptops are not included in the REACH legislation.

Vi startade vår studie med en vilja att ta reda på hur tidningsföretagen ska göra för att hantera förändringsprocessen som sker inom tidningsbranschen just nu. Upplagorna för papperstidningarna sjunker och många tidningar tvingas säga upp personal för att finansiera verksamheten. Fler och fler tidningsföretag har även börjat införa olika sätt att ta betalt för de digitala nyheterna på internet som ett försök att ordna upp den försämrade ekonomin. Det aktuella ämnet har väckt många frågor hos oss. Är papperstidningen en rest från gamla tider som snart kommer ersättas helt av de digitala nyheterna? Och hur ska det digitala i så fall kunna finansiera tidningarna när läsarna är vana att få sina digitala nyheter gratis?Vi har studerat ämnet genom en kvantitativ studie där vi med en enkät frågat personer mellan 25-45 år om deras vanor och syn på nyheter och nyhetsmedier.

IASB och FASB har inlett ett konvergensprojekt för att utveckla begreppet ?revenue recognition?, det vill säga när en intäkt ska redovisas. In late winter reindeer rub their antlers against young trees. The aim of this study was to quantify those damages. This study covered planted objects from three different areas in northeastern Sweden.
