Parodontit är en kronisk inflammatorisk sjukdom, som orsakas av patogena bakterier som fäster på tändernas ytor, där de bildar plack. Sjukdomen kan förebyggas genom god munhygien. Syftet med studien var att beskriva och jämföra parodontit relateradkunskap och dess relation till munhygiensvanor hos patienter före och 1-år efter icke kirurgisk parodontal behandling utförd av tandhygienist samt jämföra om det föreligger någon skillnad i kunskap efter behandling mellan två olika munhälsoundervisningsprogram. Ett ytterligare syfte var att beskriva om det föreligger någon skillnad i kunskap om parodontit med avseende på ålder, kön och utbildningsnivå. Studien var en beskrivande, jämförande studie med kvantitativ ansats och en del av en experimentell tvågruppsstudie.Urvalet bestod av 113 individer, 60 kvinnor och 53 män, i åldern 20-65 år som var remitteras till en specialistklinik i parodontologi.

Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att beskriva orsaker till undernäring hos äldre patienter med höftfraktur i det postoperativa skedet, samt vilka omvårdnadsåtgärder som kan användas för att förebygga undernäring. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt och artiklarna söktes via databaserna PubMed och CINAHL. 15 artiklar hittades och ligger till grund för resultatet. 14 av dessa var av kvantitativ ansats och en var kvalitativ. Resultat: Orsaker till undernäring postoperativt hos höftopererade äldre patienter var att inte kunna äta, aptitlöshet, bristande kommunikation och låg compliance.

AimThe aim of this study was to investigate and describe qualified nurses? worries related to handling chemotherapeutic drugs, further is the aim to explore if the nurses comply with the guidelines at a haematological ward. MethodThe cross-sectional study uses a descriptive design and a quantitative approach to analyze nurses? worries at a haematological ward. The data has been collected through questionnaires which were handed out to 42 nurses at the haematological ward. The questionnaires included 17 questions that were designed by the authors of this study, and 32 nurses returned the questionnaire. ResultsThe majority of the nurses declared that they handle chemotherapeutic drugs once or more a week. The results of the study show that the nurses´ comply with the available guidelines are relatively good.

This paper discusses animal welfare, and Sweden, as an EU member state, has a responsibility toensure that official animal welfare inspections are carried out in accordance with communityregulations. The first of January 2009, the welfare moved from the municipalities in to the 21county administrative boards. This restructuring was made due to the deficiencies that the auditconducted by the EU of the FVO (Food and Veterinary Office) 2003 found in the Swedishsystem. Sweden failed in coordination and inspection to ensure animal welfare.The aim of this examination paper is to shed light on animal welfare work operated in the countyof Halland and in Sweden in general. The paper focuses on a few questions.

Bakgrund: Ortokeratologi är en teknik där man genom specialdesignade RGP-linser kan reducera eller helt eliminera låg och måttlig myopi och även låggradig hyperopi och astigmatism. Man sover med linserna under natten, tar ut dem på morgonen och kan sedan gå utan glasögon och kontaktlinser hela dagen med bra visus. I denna studie tas en del fakta upp om hur ortokeratologi fungerar och på vilka tekniken fungerar.Syfte: Syftet vara att ta reda på mera om ortokeratologi då detta är en teknik på framfart. Även att jämföra undertecknads prövotid med redan gjorda studier.Metod: I studien jämfördes en försöksperson med tidigare gjorda studier, försökspersonen använde ortokeratologilinser under 45 dagar och mätningar som togs och jämfördes var k-värde (corneas kurvatur) och fri visus (synskärpa). Mätningarna utfördes dag 1, 3, 7 och 14, sedan togs visus 1 gång i veckan för att kontrollera att den hölls stabil.Resultat: visade att samtliga studier hade ungefär samma resultat där nästan alla försökspersoner fick bra visus under behandlingen.

With the globalization, companies in the West chose to shift production to developing countries to cut down costs. This had a major impact when child labor and very poor working conditions in these factories were discovered and led many companies to take responsibility for their suppliers and the employees by adopting voluntary so-called Codes of Conduct.There is a subtle balance to enforce improvement of working conditions for employees at suppliers´ factories and to keep costs down. On the one hand, companies would like to conduct extensive audits at their suppliers to ensure code of conduct compliance and thus protect their legitimacy. On the other hand, audits are expensive so companies would like to minimize audits to keep costs down. Companies thus have to strike a delicate balance in relation to how many and what suppliers they choose to audit.

BackgroundWorld Alliance for Patient Safety, launched by the WHO, has created a Surgical Safety Checklist. It was first published in 2008 and has been translated and modified in Sweden by Landstingens Ömsesidiga Försäkringsbolag, LÖF. The use of the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist has been shown to reduce the number of complications and deaths related to surgery.AimThe aim of this study is to describe the Theatre Nurse?s participation in in the use of a modified version of the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist intraoperatively in two Theatres in a hospital in the centre of Sweden.MethodThis study has a quantitative descriptive approach. A direct observational study was carried out in two Theatres and the participants were asked a few complementary questions after the observations.

The first law in Sweden containing an act of legal deposit is from 1661. Since then the printing-houses are supposed to deliver all printed material to the Royal Library and other recipient libraries. Today, more and more information is solely published electronically. This material is not yet included in the law of legal deposit. In a similar way as our printed cultural heritage is saved for posterity our electronic cultural heritage has to be saved.

Därför har kommissionen antagit de regler och standarder som den London baserade organisationen International Accounting Standards Board arbetat fram.Studien syftar till att undersöka och utvärdera hur ett antal slumpvis utvalda bolag, som i huvudsak agerar i fastighetsbranschen, efterlever IFRS regelverk IAS 40 gällande förvaltningsfastigheter.Vi har i vårt arbete använt oss av en kvantitativ metod. Underlaget för empirin är hämtat från årsredovisningar från 2009 och är insamlade från företagens egna hemsidor som vi har navigerat oss fram till via Nasdaq OMX Nordic. Dessa har vi granskat och resultatet har redovisats i tabellform.Resultaten visar att det fortfarande finns mycket att arbeta med när det gäller efterlevnad av standarderna. Den största skillnaden fanns hos de Danska företagen när det gäller att lämna vissa upplysningar och kan vara värd att följa upp i en framtida studie.

Purpose: The purpose is to examine more closely why the achievement of the environmental goals is so low. To within the thesis work to make this as interesting and with as good quality as possible, especially the environmental quality goal Reduced climate impact, but also Natural acidification and Protective ozone layer, has been chosen to be studied further. Method: A qualitative method and text analysis has been applied. Intervention theory, as Vedung 2009 describes, is used as an intellectual backbone and as a help to structure the essay. The three environmental quality goals correspond cases, or units of analysis. Analysis: The fulfillment of the respective environmental quality goals is analyzed according to its goal, policy instruments, implementation and its effects. To this some of the problems are analyzed that exist on the path to achieve the goals.

ABSTRAKTBakgrund: Cirka hälften av de patienter som fått diagnosen psykos sjukdom fullföljer inte sin medicinering trots att psykofarmaka visat sig vara den mest effektiva behandlingen för att reducera symtom. För de som inte följer behandlingen kan symtomen förvärras. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturöversikten var att beskriva sjuksköterskornas roll i den medicinska behandlingen av patienter med psykos, deras uppfattningar om sjuksköterskans roll, samt beskriva olika arbetsmetoder som kan vara ett stöd för sjuksköterskor och patienter i att uppnå följsamhet av ordinerad behandling. Metod: Litteratur har sökts i databaserna PubMed, Cinahl, PsykINFO och Blackwell synergy. Elva artiklar analyserades med hjälp av latent och manifest innehållsanalys.

The aim of the thesis is to examine how central collective actors in the Swedish subsystem of renewable fuels use their positions of power and influence to their own specific interests and needs. In particular the thesis looks at the problems of climate change and oil scarcity and how renewable fuels are described as a potential solution. Using agenda setting theory and Steven Lukes three dimensions of power as a framework, five actors are examined and analysed. The study has been done in two parts. In the first part policy documents are analysed concerning the actors general stance towards renewable fuels, and how this is communicated to the media, politicians and public.

Det krävs följsamhet i läkemedelsbehandlingen för att minska risk för hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar, stroke samt renala sjukdomar. Omvårdnadsteoretikern Orem har sin teoretiska grund i egenvården. Enligt Orem är relationen mellan sjuksköterskan och patienten avgörande om sjuksköterskan skall kunna hjälpa patienten. Syfte: Syftet är att med utgångspunkt från Orems egenvårdsteori sammanställa aktuell forskning rörande faktorer som förbättrar följsamhet till läkemedelsbehandling hos patienter med hypertoni.
