This Master thesis was written for Lantmännen Agroetanol in Norrköping concerning the layout of their finished goods inventory and unloading of feed after introducing a new product mix. Lantmännen Agroetanol has two production lines which produces feed. Both lines lead to six silos, used as inventory of finished goods. The feed from the two production lines differ in terms of quality, where as Lantmännen Agroetanol wants to separate their finished inventory in order to charge a higher price, by selling the better product as a premium. With two different feed products the yearly revenue is expected to increase which motivates a research about the current capabilities and necessary changes to be made in the factory.

AbstractAt Saltvikens copperindustry, which is located in the municipality of Oskarshamn, copper was refined from sulphiteore some hundred years ago. The ore underwent several steps in the process before the final product was received. These steps all had an influence on the environment through discharge of heavy metals. The area where the copper industry was located is today considered to be of specific national interest due to its valuable nature and cultural values, as well as its value for recreational outdoor activities. Therefore, it is important to determine the present level of contamination and if any transport of contaminants have occurred, and to identify the risks that are associated with the site both at present and in a longer time perspective.Thirtynine soil samples and 16 sediment samples have been analyzed.

This paper describes the Swedish reconnaissance squads in the engineer battalions, their equipment, tasks and organization. An analysis is made to compare the present weapons and fire power of the reconnaissance squad with an extended weapon alternative. The analysis focuses on the abilities effect, protection and movement in different situations typical of a reconnaissance squad.The facts that are presented in this paper are mostly founded on the new field manual FältarbR Dyktjänst 2007, which regulates much of the reconnaissance activities. A common goal in practical forest management is to maximize the yield, measured in economical terms. When a forest stand is thinned a so called inoptimality loss can arise due to non-optimal decisions. This means that the selected management schedule results in a lower net present value than the optimal one which lowers the profitability for the forest owner. Holmen Skog uses the term tract which means an aggregation of stands made before a management action. A tract should be delineated in different tract parts in connection with pre-thinning planning if there is different bearing capacity within the tract, different thinning grades should be used or if the tract contains a weaker part that should not be thinned.

The main purpose of this essay was to study how the social service and the lawcourt have implemented the UN Convention on the Right of the Child, particularly incorporating the childs best interest in social services, child welfare investigations and the lawcourts judgement. We considered how the needs of the child, and the will and view of the child was documented. Also how the parents capacity and the environment factors, were documented in the social services investigations and the lawcourts judgement. The study was based both as a literature study and a document analysis. We analysed ten child welfare investigations from a social service office and their belonging lawcourt judgements.Our conclusion of the study is that the child is in focus both in the investigations and in judgement.

This essay examines computer and video games and their capacity of being useful in teaching sessions. Focus is being put at a possible pedagogical potential and how it is being expressed in games mechanics. To get answers on these subjects? studies by Professor James Paul Gee and Jesse Schell is used together in creating a model for analysis. With this model together with a narrative analysis this essay hopes to give clarifications on if a pedagogical potential is present and if so, how it is being expressed.Studies in this paper shows that a pedagogical potential is overall present in used material.

Syftet med min undersökning är att försöka introducera och att arbeta med olika inlärningsstilar, utvärdera om eleverna blivit uppmärksammade på vilket sätt de lär sig bäst, det vill säga vilken/vilka som är deras starkaste preferens/er. Undersökningen genomfördes med gymnasielever i årskurs tre inriktningar Transport, vårterminen 2011. Via en stilenkät utsågs tio försökspersoner av eleverna. De fick genomföra en lektion, som utformats utifrån inlärningsstilar. Slutligen blev eleverna intervjuade. Man kan inte bara syfta på en inlärningsstil.

This paper is about the extent to which simplified penetration calculations ofsmall-caliber projectiles is a useful tool for assessing the physical protectioncapability. Uppsatsens mål är att undersöka strategier inom stadsplanering för att skapa ett större miljöengagemang och ett mer miljömedvetet beteende hos människor. Detta syftar till att ge landskapsarkitekten verktyg för att kunna påverka människor till ett större miljöintresse. Frågeställningar i arbetet är: Kan människors miljöengagemang och beteende påverkas? Hur sker sådan påverkan? Hur kan miljömedvetenhet påverkas genom stadsplanering? Varför används inte strategier för ökad miljömedvetenhet mer ofta? Resultatet undersöks genom en litteraturstudie i vilken psykologiska teorier kring miljöengagemang och hur detta engagemang kan påverkas beskrivs. Vilka strategier som används i praktiken idag tas också upp i litteraturstudien. Som ett komplement har även tre intervjuer gjorts där kommunanställda stadsplanerare beskriver metoder som används inom respektive kommun för att påverka människors miljöintresse och beteende. För att påverka människan till en mer miljövänlig livsstil kan en så kallad förändringsstrategi utformas som dels bör bygga på strategins förutsättningar och dels på de faktorer som formar människans miljömedvetenhet. De strategier som beskrivs i litteratur och intervjuer kan delas upp i två grupper, de som syftar till att påverka individens miljöengagemang och de som syftar till att påverka beteendet hos individen.

This master?s thesis describes the development of a model of the catalystsystem aiming at control by an MPC. A well functioning model, which is suitable in control purpose, is important while emission legislation become more and more hard to fulfill for the car manufacturers. Much research has been done in the field of physical modeling of the system, but in this work a linear adaptive time discrete ARX-model is developed and validated.The systems tendency to change its dynamic during usage implies that the model must be adaptive. The developed model proved to be well functioning and shows promising conditions for the MPC design.

Hur samverkar de nationella folkhälsomålen med fysisk planering, och på vilket sätt kan folkhälsomålen beaktas för att förbättra förutsättningarna för ökad fysisk aktivitet hos barn? Denna studie är en fallstudie i Hjo kommun. Studien tar utgångspunkt i kommunens folkhälsoproblematik som visar att det finns en hög förekomst av övervikt hos barn. Intentionen är att undersöka vilka organisatoriska processer som kan underbygga det kommunala arbetet med folkhälsomålen, liksom att ta reda på vilka faktorer i den fysiska miljön som skapar förutsättningar för barns fysiska aktivitet. Avsikten med studien har varit att skapa ett underlag för Hjo kommuns översiktliga planering.

Delineation of recharge areas for aquifers is performed in the groundwater mapping process at the Swedish geological survey, SGU. This work is time consuming and performed manually. It is therefore desirable to develop a more general and repeatable method for defining recharge areas for aquifers.The purpose of this study was to investigate two other possible methods to delineate recharge areas for aquifers. The first method was to examine the possibility of using the topography of the bedrock to define the recharge areas for aquifers. To enable this, a method for generating the topography of the bedrock was developed.

Examensarbetet gick ut på att konstruera ett robotlås. Ett robotlås håller fast roboten i sitt transport/utskjutningsrör till det är dags för roboten att avfyras. Det första som gjordes var att förutsättningslöst försöka komma på så många grundidéer som möjligt. Efter detta togs de krav vi hade fått med. Dessa bestod av mått- krafts- tids- och miljökrav.
