The aim of this study is, from a norm-critical approach, to find, investigate and analyse human representation in the visual culture of one preschool in order to understand if the children enrolled are represented or not. The research questions are: In what ways is there imagery of human representations in images and materials designed for play? What skin-colors and origins are dominant in the data collected?We carried out a qualitative study in the form of visual ethnography. This method allowed us to use a combination of different data collection tools such as photography and ethnographic field notes to collect our data. The photographs we took of images and material used for play, was then analysed through semiotic picture analysis.

From underwater boat to submarine ? The development of the Swedish submarine service 1945-1960 The scope of this essay is the development of the Swedish submarine service during the period 1945-1960. The aim is to answer the following questions:- What kind of new technology did Sweden acquire when salvaging the German type XXI submarine off Gothenburg at the end of World War II?- In what respect did this technology differ from that of the Royal Swedish Navy and did it subsequently contribute to the tactical and operational development?- What tactical and operational development was accomplished between 1945-1960?The timeframe, 1945-1960, was chosen since this is when the analysis of the salvaged type XXI submarine and related effects was conducted. Furthermore, it is also during this time that the Swedish submarine service is beginning to evolve as a result of the new knowledge mentioned above and the experiences made by both the allies and the Germans during World War II.The theoretical framework primarily refers to the theories on naval warfare by Sir Julian Corbett.

This bachelor thesis is based on interviews with staff from three Egyptian NGOs in Cairo during the spring of 2013. The study examines how three Egyptian NGOs discuss the woman?s situation within the Islamic legal discourse in the contemporary Egypt. The empiric material was analysed through a theoretical framework of gender in Islam, and a discussion of the concept of human rights laws in a local context.The respondents emphasize the societies gender stereotypes as obstacles in the discussion regarding women?s rights.

The study has shown that retailers in the mid-price segment differentiate their brand through developing a strong company identity around the brand. The personality involves store atmosphere, merchandise and advertising. Larger companies have chosen to lay the responsibility on management level, which facilitates on store level. By controlling the strategies on a central level the company can make sure that the stores are steered in the direction that the company wants them to be steered in, and also that they follow the positioning-concept. The company can also devote its efforts to working with its core value, which is service.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka på vilket sätt JÄMIX används i organisationer och därmed bidra till en ökad förståelse för personalrelaterade nyckeltal med inriktning mot jämställdhet. De organisationer som medverkade i studien hade abonnerat på JÄMIX i minst två år.

Occupational Health Service (OHS) has an important role in society. It is designed to prevent illness and strengthen the health of workers. OHS operations and development are currently being studied at the School of Technology and Health at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. One of the industries studied is the home maker service. During the 2010s were such employees one of the most ill groups in Sweden.This master's thesis in occupational environment development and change management focus on examining the special knowledge an OHS and its clients in one home maker service need to strengthen the workers of the industry and find out how the interaction between OHS and home maker service works and how it could be evolved.A qualitative study was conducted in a Swedish city on the basis of an organizational perspective.

In this study we have examined in which way the horse is used in Equine Assisted Therapy, and what effects the treatment staff experience and describes that the interaction with horses has on girls who self-harms. Our Empirical data was collected through qualitative methods such as interviews, participant observation and informal interviews with a total of six different informants, from five different activities with Equine Assisted Therapy for girls who self-harms. In the analysis we have assumed symbolic interactionism, a theory focusing on the human as a social being, where the self-image alters in the social interaction with other human beings. We interwove this theory with the Biophilia hypothesis, an explanatory model concerning human?s relationship to animals and nature.The conclusions we have found in the results are:Equine Assisted Therapy is a complementary treatment comprises both horseback riding and exercises which is not based on the horsebackEquine Assisted Therapy almost always involves three parts, the therapist, the client and the horse.

Många företag väljer att inleda samarbeten med ideella organisationer som en del av sitthållbarhetsarbete. Sektoröverskridande partnerskap kräver väl genomtänkta val gällandepartnerorganisation, målsättningar och utformning, och hur samarbetet ska implementeras iföretagets verksamhet. Dessa val utgör steg i en process som leder till att organisationenintegreras i företagets verksamhet.I denna uppsats utreds hur enskilda varuhus inom företaget IKEA arbetar för att integreraideella organisationer i sin verksamhet. IKEA:s svenska varuhus arbetar med samarbeten somstyrs centralt av företagets ledning och med lokala organisationer. I uppsatsen undersökslikheter och skillnader i integreringsprocessen mellan de två typerna av samarbeten.Frågorna undersöks genom intervjuer på tre IKEA-varuhus, en representant från IKEAgruppenoch en mindre dokumentstudie.

Quality Assurance in Service Procurement --- Total Quality and Total Quality Management refer to popular management philosophies in organizations these days. The purchasing department has an important part in the strive for organizational quality as several studies show corporate spend is significant and increasing. In this master thesis I study the actions companies take to ensure quality in service procurement. I argue that managing quality when sourcing services is particularly tricky, because of the special characteristics that belong to services. The purpose of the study is to examine whether different actions are taken to ensure the quality of different kinds of services.

Syftet med arbetet är att pröva idén om det etiska dokumentets koppling till medlemmar i organisationer som handlar etiskt i sin branch. Uppsatsen bygger på en kvalitativ fallstudie av Sydsvenska Dagbladet där elva medarbetare har intervjuats. I studien kommer vi fram till att det etiska dokumentet är löst kopplat till organisationer som praktiserar ett dygdetiskt tänkande vid moraliska ställningstagande..

Bakgrund: Humant Immunbrist Virus (HIV) är en infektionssjukdom som angriper kroppens immunförsvar vilket leder till att det stegvis försämras och slutligen helt avtar. Historiskt sett har patienter med HIV blivit diskriminerade i samhället och orättvist behandlade. Joyce Travelbee?s omvårdnadsteori tar avstånd från en generaliserande människosyn och förespråkar att se individens unika egenskaper, och sjukvårdspersonal ska enligt lag möta patienter med lika värde och lika vård oavsätt diagnos. Syftet är att beskriva erfarenheter som vuxna patienter med HIV har av möten med sjukvårdspersonal.Metod: En systematisk litteraturstudie.

Background and problem: In Croatia, the hotel industry has undergone difficult and unstable conditions since the 90s. Since 2001, however the results in the sector has improved due to increased investment in the renovation of facilities and construction of new hotels.Purpose: The study aims to examine hotel operations on the Makarska Riviera on the basis of tourist business perspective, and examine its quality, service and accessibility.Method: In this study we used a qualitative approach. The survey was conducted through structured interviews and a non-participant observation.Result and conclusions: Satisfied and fulfilled employees, in turn that the hotels will have satisfied customers and may have profitable operations. Many hotels aim at constantly working to improve profitability and customer satisfaction. When measuring customer satisfaction, many hotel owners felt that the service is good and that they have received a good response from their guests.

Denna studie ämnar studera ansvarsområden, samverkan och upplevda gråzoner hos de organisationer i Sundsvalls Kommun som arbetar gentemot individer utan aktiv anställning. Berörda organisationer för denna studie är Arbetsförmedlingen, Försäkringskassan, Socialtjänsten, Faros, FAVI, Ungdoms- och Vuxencentrum som alla är verksamma inom samma organisatoriska fält, då de alla arbetar gentemot individer utanför aktiv anställning, alltså samma målgrupp.Studien undersöker om flexibilitet, som krav för en hög samverkan organisationerna emellan, ligger till grund för otydliga ansvarsområden. Även samverkan och överlämningar av ärenden mellan organisationerna kommer att undersökas. Slutligen hur respondenterna själva upplever eventuella gråzoner inom det organisatoriska fältet.Resultat visar att det framförallt är människor med multipla behov som riskerar att förbises inom det organisatoriska fältet. Respondenterna menar däremot inte att individerna hamnar utanför ansvarsområden, utan snarare att de fastnar inom dem.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och analysera ett antal kunskapsföretags värdering av humankapitalet vid tänkbara företagsförvärv. Syftet är även att beskriva Human Resources Due Diligence och diskutera om detta begrepp/förhållningssätt kan tillföra företagsvärdering något. Vi har använt oss av deduktiv metod för att dra våra slutsatser. Primärdatan har insamlats genom fallstudier, dessa fallstudierna har genomförts genom semistrukturerad intervjuform. Vi grundar vår uppsats på teorier kring kunskapsföretag, humankapital, förvärvsprocess samt begrepp som Due Diligence och Human Resources Due Diligence.
