Gender, labor and decision-making : the woman?s situation in family businesses in a Swedish agricultural setting
The inequality and separation of sexes seen in organizations may lead to inefficient use of human resources. Therefor, a more equal organization could lead to higher productivity and efficiency. Inequality within organizations is a problem also for the society as a whole since who is chosen for a position is not depended upon merits, leading to inefficiency. To not reflect upon traditional division of labor and decision-making could also lead to an undemocratic and unjust society. The aim of this thesis is to explore women and men?s engagement a family business in an agricultural setting.

Barnens säkerhet utifrån ett lärarperspektiv : En studie om rådande resursskillnader i en låg- respektive högstatusskola
That the Swedish society looks different depending on the location is a fact and that in turn means different schools with different conditions and resources depending on the localization. We have in this study interviewed four teachers in a high-status school and four teachers at a low-status school in a municipality south of Stockholm. The purpose of our study is to find out how teachers / educators perceive children's physical and psychological safety in their workplaces, and if there is a difference between the schools in resource allocation.In order to answer our purpose of the study, we chose to interview teachers about how the school looks for the kids in order of enough resources such as books for all, enough facilities and competent and even skilled teachers. To take into account and consider people´s backgrounds, experiences, and cultural frames of reference is a way to interact within a respectful world, and as a good approach to educating children from all parts of the world and with all the different mental and physical difficulties. The two schools in our study show lack of resources but of different kinds.

Att byta jobb är kostsamt, både för individen och för företaget.Men vad är det som gör att man stannar på jobbet, är det kollegorna, lönen eller möjligheten till utveckling?Studien genomförs på en kommun, fiktivt döpt till Solrosen en organisation som är uppdelad på olika nämnder och aktiebolag. På tre olika organisationer inom Solrosens kommun har sammanlagt sju intervjuer genomförts. Fem av intervjuerna var med personer i ledarpositioner och två av dem var med medarbetare. Intervjuerna och studien har varit av en kvalitativ art.Syftet med uppsatsen är att visa hur man använder verktyg så som kompetensutveckling, se hur lärandet hos och utvecklingen av personalen på arbetsplatsen ser ut och se hur man hanterar den befintliga kompetensen.

It was the purpose of the present study to explore thoughts and lines of reasonings concerning body perspectives in school. Based on students at a secondary school and on analyses of the curricula of the school, I reason about how we see the human being and the importance of it in school. In the introduction I start out from observations and highlight the body as a communicative channel leading up to the issue of students? basic view of man as integrated or devided in body and soul. A study of twelve interviews of students shows that thoughts about the two perspectives had not been identified until now but that a great deal of interest existed for discussion on this subject.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate if the stock market reacts differently to accounting information, depending on the stock market climate. The study focuses solely on stocks listed on the OMX Stockholm 30 during each year from 2005 to 2009. By applying the concept of Earnings Response Coefficient we can estimate how the market reacts to accounting information. The dependent variable in the equation is the market reaction on unexpected earnings, in the study described as the abnormal return on stock. For quality purposes we measure this on a ±1,5,10 and 20 days basis.

The aim of this study is to find out in which way the education about climate in school is taught and how the students experience the world situation today. There are various theories about the greenhouse effect and its origin and these theories should be addressed to ensure that students get a broader understanding of how climate change occurs. This includes the natural phenomena and also the human impact on climate change. Students in school are a source of concern that only human are the cause of global warming, and know little or almost nothing about the natural phenomena of global warming. I will mention what has emphasized in the national steering documents in the case of environmental education at school.I have used a qualitative method, where interviews and document analysis were used as techniques. The interviews took place with five students in ninth grade and with three science teachers in the same school..

This leads to an opportunity for about 70 % of the joint-stock companies to choose whether or not to keep their auditors. Creditors are affected by this as they may receive a less trustworthy base to make a good credit review if many companies choose to proceed their accountings without the control of an auditor. Creditors have the option to require that companies are to be reviewed by auditors, while authorized accounting consultants may be a possible substitute as a quality control for the accountings.Purpose:The purpose of this thesis is to examine what impact optional audit has had in credit processes so far and look into alternative forms of reviews for businesses.Problem definition:? Does auditing simplify for the creditors in a credit review? ? Is there some kind of accounting that could be a substitute for the audit?Method:The study is qualitative in character through six interviews.

The economic growth we have experienced the last century is based on limited natural resources. Whether these resources will last for a further economic growth is widely debated. Pessimism and optimism have each been influential philosophies in debate whose opinions can be conceded as two opposing opinions. In this paper we have analyze these opinions from an economics perspective. To study this further, the construction and meaning of the pessimistic and optimistic arguments have been applied implicitly on the Leontief production function and the Solow growth model.

When professionals meet people from other cultures, there are some problematic issues that may appear, especially when considering human rights. Every individual has the right to live as they choose, and have the right to their own culture and traditions even if they have immigrated to another country. Female genital mutilation is a tradition that violates human rights. In this study we will look at what conflicts of values that professionals can have while meeting clients who have been mutilated. We have made qualitative interviews with four professionals working in a small town in Sweden in an area where many immigrants live.

This thesis examines interfaith work from a general perspective and through the Swedish interfaith project ?Tillsammans för Sverige?. They are based in a famous youth center in Stockholm. The examination has two aims. The first is to identify the main characteristics of interfaith work and how they correspond with daily practice.
UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights utveckling som norm: En analys av Sveriges regering, Volvo och G?teborgs Stad
Since the 1990s, when the number of transnational companies increased, it has created challenges regarding the responsibility of human rights. As a response to these challenges the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) unanimously endorsed the new policy UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP) in 2011. UNGP does not have the status av international law, yet simply as guidelines and its implementation is based on good will and voluntary efforts. Now, 10 years later, this study aims to get understanding regarding if UNGP is considered as norm by the Swedish Government, Volvo and Gothenburg Municipality. The material of the study consists of sustainability reports, annual reports and governmental documents with focus on human rights in relation to business published between the year of 2011, when UNGP was endorsed, until 2020.
Att dela eller inte? Medarbetarnas perspektiv på delat ledarskap inom Human service organisationer
Studiens syfte var att undersöka och sätta ord på medarbetarnas upplevelse och uppfattning av delat ledarskap utifrån två teman: verksamhetsaspekter och personalaspekter. De teorier som det relateras till i uppsatsen är Döös med fleras teori om delat ledarskap, Engquists kommunikationsteori, Hällstens & Tengblads medarbetarskapsteorier samt Thylefors ledarskapsteorier inom Human service organisationer. För att genomföra undersökningen användes en abduktiv, kvalitativ metod med tre strukturerade fokusgruppsintervjuer med medarbetarna samt två individuella intervjuer med två delande chefer på tre verksamheter inom Human service organisationer, där konceptet med delat ledarskap tillämpas eller har tillämpats.Medarbetarnas upplevelser av delat ledarskap har skiftat från nöjd till missnöjd. Resultatet visar att delat ledarskap ger flera fördelar och få nackdelar om rätt förutsättningar finns. Slutsatsen är att delat ledarskap är något alla tjänar på ?om uppdelningen av det delade ledarskapet är väl genomtäkt och personerna som delar ledarskapet passar in i rollerna?.
Etik för revisorer : Den etiska resonemangsförmågan hos studenter
In recent years the interest for ethics has increased exponentially. It has become more and more common with the ethic rules and guiding of principles within the business world, both in companies and in different professional groups. Auditors face difficulties and have to deal with different ethical problems where ethics and morality is taken up. It is important that accountants can react in a legal and correct manner. To become an accountant a person should have gone through college or university where the schools have some responsibility to provide the student with basic ethics course for a accounting education.The main aim with our paper is based on the theories of Lawrence Kohlberg about ethical development investigation potential differences in the ethical reasoning among student who are in first or last year of the studies with orientation in accounting.
Medarbetarsamtal : Vilken funktion fyller de?

Men är det någon mening med att ha medarbetarsamtal? Vi undrar om de finns endast för att fylla ett ceremoniellt syfte, om det är något ledningen bestämt utan att förklara varför för de anställda? Syfte: Syftet med vår studie är att försöka ta reda på hur chefer och medarbetare upplever medarbetarsamtalför att se om dessa samtal fyller någon funktion eller om de existerar någon egentlig anledning. Metod: För att besvara studiens syfte har ett induktivt angreppssätt med en kvalitativ metod valts som grund för uppsatsen.
Differentieringen av det generella strandskyddet : attitydundersökning i Gagnefs kommun och Bergs kommun
Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur Gagnefs kommun och Bergs kommun arbetar med det generella strandskyddet, vilka attityder till detta som finns i kommunerna och hur arbetet påverkar landsbygdsutvecklingen.
Särskilt fokus läggs på hanteringen av små sjöar och vattendrag.
Undersökningen har skett med hjälp av en kvalitativ metod
som innefattar intervjuer med markägare och tjänstemän från kommunerna samt observationer.
Analysen utgår från Garrett Hardins begrepp tragedy of the commons, Elinor Ostroms begrepp common-pool resources och open access resources samt Bo Rothsteins begrepp sociala fällor och tillit.
Slutsatsen med uppsatsen är att Gagnefs kommun och Bergs kommuner arbetar olika med strandskyddet gällande små sjöar och vattendrag.
En majoritet av informanterna anser att det generella strandskyddet endast ska omfatta naturliga vattendrag, samt att strandskyddet bör vara mer flexibelt på landsbygden än i storstäderna. Flexibiliteten innebär exempelvis att strandskyddets regelverk ska anpassas till platsen och inte tillämpas generellt över hela landet..
