The world we live in becomes more globalized as a result of new communication media. Communication occurs over greater distances which leads to increased travel. In the report AR5, by IPCC, it is showed that the human impact of climate change is clear and that something has to be done. Therefore its very important to change the human impact. A part of it is to change the way we travel within the service which leads to the purpose of the thesis.

With the rise of the internet especially and information- and communication technology in general, the opportunities for fast and effective communication and sharing of information have proliferated. In relation to the new technologies, the citizens? demands on organizations? communicative efforts have increased. Today?s citizens have high standards regarding transparency, the opportunity to dialogue and have hopes to influence the public sector.

Undersökningen genomfördes vid Södertörns brandförsvar. Brandförsvaret har från januari 1993 bildat ett brandförsvarsförbund i vilket Tyresö, Huddinge, Haninge, Skogås och Nynäshamns brandstationer ingår. Syftet med undersökningen var att studera variablerna information, inflytande, engagemang och attityd inför denna organisationsförändring. Min frågeställning var om de personer som säger sig ha erhållit information och känner inflytande och är engagerade, har en mer positiv attityd inför omorganisationen än de personer som känner avsaknad av dessa tre variabler. Min hypotes var att det finns ett positivt samband mellan dessa tre variabler och attityd inför omorganisationen.

The veterans in Sweden is a group that is steadily growing, one of the reasons is the new employment agreement that requires the soldiers and officers to commit to Foreign Service. The Swedish Armed Forces have received critique from the government in their investigations concerning the Swedish veteran politics. Since then the Swedish government has introduced a new law that gives the Swedish Armed Forces an utmost responsibility concerning the veteran?s physical and mental health. The purpose of this study is to qualitatively investigate ?The Peace berets?, a non-government organization which have had, and is still having a cooperation with the Swedish Armed Forces as a result of the investigation conducted by the Swedish government.

Syftet med den här undersökningen var att beskriva hur anhöriga upplever och hanterar sin livssituation, med fokus på familjen och deras egen hälsa, under den akuta fasen vid allogen stamcellstransplantation. Undersökningen ägde rum på Centrum för Allogen Stamcellstransplantation vid Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset Huddinge. Sju anhöriga till patienter som genomgick en allogen stamcellstransplantation deltog. Metoden som användes var att genom semistrukturerade intervjuer låta anhöriga själva berätta om sin livssituation. Dessa intervjuer analyserades sedan med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys vilket resulterade i att temat den nuvarande situationen formulerades.

This thesis was conducted at AB Fredr Wagner in Ösmo in Nynäshamn, Sweden.AB Fredr Wagner provides solutions for the graphic industry and has been asked by acustomer to develop a product that can simplify handling of EUR-pallets, namely amechanical arrangement, further called pallet exchanger that can switch from anempty pallet to a fully loaded one using only hand force.The goal with the thesis was to create design documents for a pallet exchanger, andalso from those documents to manufacture a prototype for testing and evaluation.A field trip was made to the customer, IKAB mailing in Huddinge, where the palletexchanger is thought to be placed. The purpose of this field trip was to get an insightinto the current work condition and need of change, as well as to gather informationregarding the requirements when it comes to size and robustness of the palletexchanger. Existing equipment on the market that can perform similar tasks werestudied in order to find an optimal solution for the actual pallet exchanger.After the field trip and gathering of information the concept generating phase began.The method used for generating concepts was brainstorming. To decide on whichconcept to use, a concept selection matrix was created. The selection criteriaincluded in the matrix came from the requirements for the pallet exchanger.

Sjukvården lever med knappa resurser och investeringar i medicinsk teknik binder mycket kapital under en längre tid, vilket har ökat behovet av systematiska och noggranna utvärderingar av investeringarnas konsekvenser, både ekonomiska och icke-ekonomiska.Huvudsyftet med studien var att undersöka hur investeringsbedömningar inom sjukvården görs, och vilken roll ekonomiska utvärderingar har vid investeringsbeslut. Delsyftet var att utarbeta en investeringskalkyl och bedöma kostnadseffektiviteten för införandet av ett nytt undersökningsmetod för hjärtdiagnostik på Karolinska universitetssjukhuset i Huddinge (Cardiotom).Utgångspunkten i undersökningen finns i investeringsteori och hälsoekonomisk teori som därför presenteras i uppsatsen. En redogörelse av tidigare forskning både inom sjukvården och inom andra branscher ges, för att läsaren skulle kunna jämföra utfallet i den här studien med de andra studierna i ämnet.Som undersökningsmetod valde författarna att kombinera intervjuer med en enkätundersökning och på det sättet få en samlad bild av kalkyleringens betydelse och övrig problematik kring lönsamhetsbedömningen vid investeringar i medicinsk teknik.Resultatet av studien tyder bland annat på att investeringskalkyler spelar fortfarande ett begränsad roll vid investeringsbeslut, samt att dess betydelse kan komma att öka i samband med att kraven på kvantitativ utvärdering av samhällsekonomisk nytta ökar.Investeringsbedömningen av införandet av Cardiotom visar att investeringen är lönsam och utifrån kalkylens utfall, där hänsyn till patientnyttan också tagits med, borde genomföras..

AbstractThe importance of good construction planning affects the final costs of the production and the timing of the project. Planning for building projects has been studied with the aim of identifying how three week planning appears in the construction industry today.A case study has been conducted in Navisworks Simulate to assess whether the software is suitable to connect the task schedule with the BIM model to create a 4D model. 4D models are used for performing 4D construction simulation to visualize the project. In order to use the benefits of the model, investment in equipment and software is required. This means higher costs for the companies.

ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) is a phenomena that is much talked about in both schools and in communities. Today, there is a conflict surrounding the diagnosis ADHD. A part of the conflict takes part between the sociologist Eva Kärfve and Christopher Gillberg, professor in child- and teenage psychology. The roots of this conflict surrounds the much debated line of what is seen as normal and ?too? different, basically how many children that actually should have the diagnosis.

SammanfattningLean produktion är ett välkänt begrepp inom industrin som strävar efter resurseffektivitet och förbättringsarbete med kunden i fokus. Inom lean produktion finns flertal metoder och filosofier att beakta och detta arbete behandlar 5S-metoden, sju plus en slöserierna och allas engagemang i en organisation. Framgångarna med lean produktion inom industrin har lett till att det har implementerats i flera olika branscher, inte minst sjukvården. Denna implementering har mötts av varierande åsikter.Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka om implementeringen av lean produktion inom sjukvården kan bli lika effektiv som inom industrin. Implementeringen av lean inom sjukvården har till viss del visat sig vara framgångsrikt, men oftast uppnås inte uppsatta mål.

The purpose of this study was to conduct a qualitative study with a case study research design, where we studied social workers and politicians view on honor-related problems of underage girls and boys in the age 13-17. We need knowledge about honor related violence and oppression in the political community and social services to work with honor-related problems. Political decisions affect how social work is developed around the honor problem; therefore, it is also important to highlight this direction for the work. It requires a knowledge complement of honor-related problems not to risk exposing the child to further risk from the family (Hedersförtryck, 2009). This is to live up to, for example the law of Social Services, school law and Human Rights (Hussein & Kinuka-Svedberg, 2010).

In metropolitan areas where the exploitation pressure increases, also the importance to point out nature areas grows, both for the sake of outdoor life and for biodiversity conservation. Since nature conservancy and spatial planning constitute two different parts of the municipalities land use control, a case study has been carried out in two municipalities in the Stockholm region, Huddinge and Järfälla. Both these municipalities have protected about one third of their land and today there are plans to repeal parts of the reserves to enable exploitation. This thesis shows ? from the theoretical concept of sustainable development ? officials, politicians and non-governmental organizations perspectives on questions concerning land use together with the work with nature reserves and repeals.

In Sweden according to the planning and building Act municipalities have planning monopoly. The question about shopping centres in the outskirts of cities is a regional issue, because they attract customers from a large area. Municipalities often find it hard to assert themselves against large commercial companies when it comes to their establishing new retail outlets on the outskirts of cities. Without a regional co-operation there is a risk that municipalities can be played up against one another, so that more and more companies are given permits without the municipalities having taken the strategic consideration necessary for a long term sustainable development. The focus in this work is on four municipalities in the Södertörn region (Södertälje, Botkyrka, Huddinge and Nynäshamn).

This Masters thesis is made as the first of two visitor surveys of three urban forest areas. These areas are; Skutan recreational area in Haninge, Ugglevikskällan on Norra Djurgården in Stockholm and the Paradiset Reserve in Huddinge. The study is made in cooperation with the managers of the three areas operating within the European Union Life Project regarding Urban Woods for People. The goal has been to collect data through studies of visitors and close by residents in the three areas. The results are to be used as primary values for the follow-up as well as a basis for managerial decisions. The interviews and surveys are also constructed in a fashion so that they can be used for the follow-up study. For the Skutan recreational area the mode of contact was by sending forms to the nearby residential areas.
