The area of Järvafältet in the northern parts of Stockholm is one of the many large-scale investments into Swedish residency executed in the 60?s and 70?s, and which got the name Miljonprogrammet. Not until today these buildings have been restored, and frustration has been brewing in these areas for some time. Järvadialogen is the name of a communication program connected to the housing restoration in the area of Husby, which is a part of Järvafältet, and functions as a promotional and informational dialogue between residents in the area and those responsible for the communication program. The cultural diversity in the area of Husby is significant, and with theories on intercultural communication, change communication and power we study the performed communicative process and the manner in which it is received.

The daily travel, and especially travel between home and work i.e. commuting, is increasing every passing year. More than 90 000 people commute from their home municipality to work in Gothenburg. One of the aims of the regions of Västra Götaland and Halland is to interconnect municipalities and towns within the region, thereby creating growth, faster freight and passenger transports as well as a more attractive business climate. However, while the goal is to create growth, there are several municipalities in the study region with negative ongoing trends.

Tycho Hedéns Väg in Uppsala has evolved from being a through fare passage and highwayto the oversized road frame running through the city it is today. At the present time, dueto the relocation of the E4 highway east of Uppsala, Tycho Hedéns road creates a barrierbetween the north eastern area of Uppsala and the remaining parts of the city centre. Theroad is designed to endure heavy traffic and high speed limits, generating a surrounding urbanarea were inhabitants are complied to follow the standards set for a high traffic-accessibleenvironment. Furthermore, the heavy traffic has led to the turning of both urban roadsidesaway from the actual road. The aim of this project and proposal is to show the possibilities ofhow the innate features of Tycho Hedéns road can be used more advantageously to mend thecity area of Uppsala.

Is it possible that by planning in a more sustainable way when building a new area, we can improve our environment?Most environmental problems are created in cities and therefore they should hold the solution. Through a more ecological urban planning a better foundation for sustainable housing could be created.This report follows the process in coming up with a proposal for a master plan for an area in Odense, Denmark. By going through principles for sustainable urban planning made by different organizations and persons and from these extract main principles, a background is founded to continue the proposal from.Denmark works a lot on expanding their green areas, maintain the existing ones and recreate what?s being destroyed as cities expand.

Region Gotland har under en längre tid privatiserat tjänster som tidigare utfördes av Region Gotland själva. Hur går det till när en privat aktör tar över eller startar en verksamhet och hur ser kraven på verksamheten ut? Idag använder Region Gotland Balanserade styrkort i sin styrning och hur påverkar denna typ av styrning privata aktörer? Denna uppsats fokuserar på vilken effekt Socialnämndens styrning har på upphandling, kommunikation och uppföljning.Problemformuleringen i denna uppsats lyder: På vilket sätt styr Socialnämnden privata och offentliga aktörer inom särskilt boend epå Gotland.Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka hurvida Region Gotlands styrmodell påverkar upphandling, kommunikation och uppföljning mellan Region Gotland och aktörer inom särskilt boende på Gotland.Intervjuer har gjorts med personer i nyckelpositioner inom Region Gotland. Fördjupade intervjuer har gjorts med verksamhetschefer på två olika boenden. Ett boende i privat regi och ett boende i offentlig regi.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka relationen mellan de två nationella miljökvalitetsmålen, Ett rikt odlingslandskap och God bebyggd miljö. Sveriges mest högproduktiva jordbruksmark finns till stor del i Skåne. Skåne har sedan 1960-talet haft en positiv befolkningstillväxt större än resten av landet. Kombinationen mellan stor andel jordbruksmark och positiv befolkningsutveckling gör Skåneregionen intressant att undersöka. Uppsatsen görs i form av en forskningsöversikt och en fallstudie av Tomelilla tätort. Fallstudien består av planeringsförutsättningar där kommunala och regionala dokument samt lagstiftning med mera behandlas. Vidare görs en scenarioanalys genom scenariokors, en utvärdering av Tomelilla kommuns översiktsplans utbyggnadsförslag för Tomelilla tätort och en realistisk byanalys. Uppsatsen visar att det finns en vision att kombinera de två miljökvalitetsmålen Ett rikt odlingslandskap och God bebyggd miljö men att det finns en skillnad mellan vision och handling när det gäller bevarande av jordbruksmark vid bebyggelseutveckling. Tät fysisk struktur identifieras som en struktur som tar hänsyn till jordbruksmark vid bebyggelseutveckling. Uppsatsen avslutas med en avslutande diskussion av mer fri karaktär, diskussionen tar upp behovet av verktyg för förtätning och frågan om en större arena för planering av hushållning med jordbruksmark behövs..

To end up as an immigrant in an unknown country and to try to participate in the majority society means both psychological and physical difficulties where their whole life is changing. Gemensamma Krafter is a prevention changing work in a housing area in Borlänge. It works among other things as a meeting place for people from different cultures. The aim with this study was to describe and to get increased understanding for the lives of a number of immigrant women who lives in Borlänge/Sweden and which importance ?Gemensamma Krafter? has had for them.

To challenge the competition within the construction business there are requirements ineffectiveness and use of operating computer based programs and work-methods. Thecomputer based programs are continuously improved and can at some point be the start of anew work-method. The work-method of tomorrow can be Building Information Modeling(BIM).This Master of Science Thesis gives an understanding in what BIM is and what therequirements for Sweco Theorells are in a future BIM-use as a consulting-firm. Theunderstanding is presented through a study of theory within the subject. The way of thinkingand acting among different disciplines and individuals within the building process isexplained through an interview study.The term BIM is regularly used.

The aim of this paper is to expand the debate on globalization and its consequences from a theoretical perspective emphasizing social processes of exclusion and inclusion. I explore these social processes in dialogue with the Spanish social movement for the rights of irregular immigrants. The paper also aims to explore new forms of resistance in the context of globalization."The declinist thesis" argues that globalization has lead to a declining importance of the nation-state and the national citizenship as guarantees of rights. "The anti-declinist thesis" oppose to this picture arguing that rights still depend on national policies. I also discuss the functions of exclusion and inclusion inherited in the concepts of citizenship and nation-state.I outline the historical and political context of the movement and explore the ideas and organizational dimensions of the movement's "knowledge praxis".I conclude that national citizenship - in a broader sense as a description of the relationship between the individual and the state - seems to play a crucial role in the life situation and the possibilities of irregular migrants to organize and protest.

This thesis is a case study that examines what political decisions have been taken and how these policies have been implemented. Further this thesis discusses how legitimacy of local policy makers and implementors is affected. The subject studied have been the social service of Jönköping municipality and the intervention of safe-housing aimed at women who have been, or are subject to violence by person close to them. In our study we have examined local policy within the territory of the intervention and how this policy is implemented. A qualitative method with semi-structured interviews was used in combination with quantitative methods to examine protocols from the social welfare board and an action program named "Skydd och stöd för misshandlade kvinnor och deras barn? [Protection and support for abused women and their children].The purpose of this study has been to highlight how the social services implemented the local policy of safe-house accommodation in Jönköping municipality from the legitimacy and discretion perspectives.

The piglet mortality rates have become a major issue in today?s pig production. While other production traits such as number of born piglets or produced piglets per sow have been improved, the mortality rate has escalated. High mortality rates before weaning does not only affect the economy but must also be looked at as both an animal welfare problem and an ethical issue. The background to this problem has been addressed many times, and its salvation has also been addressed by breeding.

Computers and business systems are used more frequently in a world where IT gradually is taking over. This is also true when it comes to the real estate valuation process where actors on the Swedish real estate market are using automatic valuation systems for real estate appraisal. But the real estate agents have not yet seen the charm in using these automatic valuation systems for real estate appraisal. Can the real estate agents also use the automatic valuation systems? We developed our three main subjects: the valuation process, an automatic valuation system and the real estate market with assistance from scientific articles.

SammanfattningSyfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien är att undersöka hur elever som idag inte aktivt deltar på lektionerna motiverar detta.Frågeställning:? Vilka faktorer påverkar eleverna till aktivitet/inaktivitet på lektionerna?? Vad krävs för att eleverna aktivt ska vilja delta på lektionerna?MetodVi har valt att utföra en kvalitativ intervjustudie med sju gymnasieelever med låg deltagande på lektionerna i idrott och hälsa. Elevernas svar har sedan tolkats med hjälp av den teoretiska modellen KASAM.ResultatEleverna anser att valet av aktiviteter är en stor anledning till att de inte deltar i undervisningen. De tycker att lektionsinnehållet är för enformigt och skulle istället vilja ägna sig åt mer individuellt anpassade aktiviteter som de har nytta av i framtiden. De saknar idag en motivering till varför de utför de olika momenten i undervisningen och förstår inte heller vad de ska ha för nytta utav den.SlutsatsResultaten visar att eleverna ofta väljer att inte närvara på lektionerna eftersom de känner sig dåliga.

Mellan 1960 och 1970 lades många järnvägssträckor ner sin verksamhet i Sverige, spåren revs upp och bilen tog över vår vardags pendling på allvar. Nu när effekterna av bilens framfart blivit kända är tåget åter ett intressant alternativ och olika gamla tågsträckningar vill återupplivas. Simrishamnsbanan är en sådan tågsträcka och är tänkta att åter förena de orter som finns mellan Malmö och Simrishamn. Veberöd är en av de orter som ligger utmed den forna tågsträckan och orten ingår i Lundskommun och mitt syfte med detta examensarbete är att finna svar på hur Veberöd ur ett ekonomiskat, socialt och ekologiskt "hållbart" sätt ska kunna anpassa sig till ett stationsnära läge, med tyngdpunkt på: Bostadsstruktur, Infrastruktur och Grönstruktur. Detta utifrån ett scenario där Simrishamnsbanan realiseras. Examensarbetet börjar med att problematisera hållbarhetsbegreppet och begrepp som täthet och gleshet, därefter följer en omfattande analys av Veberöds historia, bostadsområden, grönstruktur, verksamhet och service.

This in turn has lead to a wide spread of informal settlements. Thus, areas of urban slums, that have risen illegally on the marginal lands within and at the periphery of the formal city.
