Stadsdelsförnyelse i Norra Björksätra, Sandviken
The housing estates in the outskirts of Sandviken, consist of relatively large scale apartment buildings. This report, that is a B.A. thesis at 10 Swedish university points, aims to investigate and describe the opportunities to improve safety and security for inhabitants in Norra Björksätra. The purpose with this report is to make Norra Björksätra to a more attractive place to live in, by changing the negative trends in the area. Since demolition of at least some of the Houses could be of current interest in some years; the purpose is also to investigate whether demolition or renewal of the area is the best solution.
Stengrunder och gränser : en studie av kontinuitet från äldre järnålderns stengrundsbygd till nutid
This thesis studies settlement continuity on Gotland between approximately AD 200 and AD 1700. The method used is to calculate correlation between the geographical distribution of all known Iron Age stone-wall-Houses (on Gotland known as "kämpagravar") and all farms included in the detailed taxation maps from approximately 1700. The number of remaining house foundations is between 1800 and 1900. A model to estimate the number of removed foundations is presented. It is based on the assumption that the settlement density was proportional to land use around 1700, and that the rate of removal is related to the current land use.
Alternativa byggsystem för att minska transmissionsförlusterna på miljonprogrammets byggnader
The purpose with this project is to explore and verify three renovating systems for Miljonprogrammet (common expression forbuildings constructed during the years 1965-1975 when over a million Houses where built in Sweden) to take measure to thelargely transmission losses of these buildings. Many of the buildings from this period have similar constructions and thereforethe same techniques can be used to renovate several of them. This project only considers the climate scale, although thereare many more factors to concern for to efficient the buildings of Miljonprogrammet.This thesis presents examples of renovations carried out using two of the three renovation systems.The essay presents a reference house of choice on which we apply the three systems and calculate the new U-values,consumption of energy and the investment costs. The new U-values the building is given is matched to the values ofrecommendation for passive Houses. Our reference house is a two story apartment building, located in the village ofLammhult, with brick facades at the ends and plaster at the long sides.

This bachelor thesis aims at investigate how a specified house can optimize its energy consumption.Today the house often stands for the major part of the energy consumption in a consumers? life,whereas an energy optimization creates economic as well as environmental advantages. It is importantto make old Houses more energy efficient, but putting high energy demands on new Houses could beargued to be more important. The installations functions as both the heart and brain in a house, thusmaking it important to energy optimize these. Since the background describes the importance ofenergy efficiency and optimization in a house, the focus area of this report will be an investigation ofdifferent types of heating systems in order to be able to choose the one most suited for the house.Aspects considered when choosing the heating system was how economic the system is both inservice- and investment costs and how environmental and operational friendly the system is.Through literature reviews there were sufficient information gathered that served as a foundation whencomparing and choosing between the four systems - district heating, pellet-fired boiler, geothermalheating and solar heating.

Ricksättra 1:1 är en fastighet på 42 hektar placerad i Ekerö. År 2010 fick fastighten en ny ägare med nya ambitioner, men med lite tid till förfogande har inte den nya ägaren kunnat nyttja fastigheten och föra fram utvecklingen till det som eftertraktas. Idag är platsen skonsamt använd och dess fulla potential är inte uppnådd. Uppdragsgivaren har nu kommit in i en ny fas där han nu önskar uppnå fastighetens fulla potential, detta genom att bygga ett modernt samhälle med växande möjligheter och energisnåla hus. Framtida tankar om bebyggelser finns redan hos beställaren.
Lille prinsen möter Juliane House. Översättningskritisk analys av Antoine de Saint-Exupérys Le Petit Prince och dess svenska översättning i jämförelse med två engelska översättningar
Föreliggande studie är en komparativ fallstudie där Antoine de Saint-Exupérys LePetit Prince och dess svenska översättning analyseras enligt Juliane Houses analysmodellför översättningskritik. Som jämförelsematerial till den svenska måltextenhar de två engelska översättningarna av verket använts. Syftet med undersökningenär att analysera effekterna av eventuella skillnader mellan den aktuella källtextenoch dess svenska måltext samt att genomföra och redovisa en fallstudie som eventuelltskulle kunna ingå i en mer omfattande studie av exempelvis barnboksöversättningarfrån franska till svenska. Originaltexten är avsedd för både barn ochvuxna och kan, om läsaren vill, på olika sätt tolkas symboliskt eller allegoriskt.Texten visar sig också ha en synnerligen välplanerad och koherent komposition,vilken till största delen har bevarats i den svenska måltexten, men några avvikelsersom påverkar kompositionen har dock påträffats. Även avvikelser som kan påverkamålspråksläsarnas förutsättningar att tolka en del av de symbolladdade orden harnoterats, liksom avvikelser som påverkar uppfattningen av relationen mellanförfattaren och läsarna samt mellan de fiktiva personerna i texten.
Christiania - Under ytan finns en annan verklighet
AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to examine how the population living in Christiania considers their residential area in relation to the surrounding society, and why you as an individual choose to live there. We have used the qualitative method and we have performed interviews with a total of six persons. We have used Tönnies two notions regarding gemeinschaft and gesellschaft, and Goffmans theory about stigma. We choose these theories because we thought that they were most relevant for our study. Our question at issue is: Why does a person seek to live in an alternative society, with different norms in comparison to the majority society? Through our interview persons we learned their stories and their opinions considering their residential area and we concluded that Christiania differs from the remaining society in several ways.

Energy and environmental demands regarding buildings have become an increasinglydiscussed topic, both in Sweden and in Europe as a whole. Hallbyggnadsteknik - en effektivisering av småhusproduktion
Syftet med det här examensarbetet är att undersöka om det är möjligt att överföra hallbyggnadsteknik till produktion av småhus för att sänka produktionskostnaderna. Studien visar att hallbyggnadsteknik enkelt går att överföra till en villa. Dessutom blir det billigare att bygga klimatskalet med vårt byggsystem jämfört med ett traditionellt prefabricerat småhus. Genom detta system kan den totala byggkostnaden för villan i jämförelsen sänkas med 3-10 % beroende på vilket fasadmaterial som väljs..

Through a combination of theoretical research and practical experiments a building system has been developed which has the capabilities to create Houses with great geometric flexibilities to a affordable price today. The construction system Perimeter is demonstrated in a pavilion situated at Norra Djurgården in Stockholm. .
