The focus of this two year's master thesis is on participation of children at the TioTretton Library, a library strictly for 10-13 year olds. No adults, except the library staff are allowed in this library. To build on this aim the objectives of this thesis is centred on the questions:How does the library staff view their specific library's mission? What are the conditions for children's participation at TioTretton Library? Based on the relevant theory of participation, how participatory are the children in the library's activities? What significance has TioTretton Library's work with children participation for the children's ability to empowerment?The theoretical framework is mainly centred upon the Ladder of Participation designed by R. A.

Moisture damage in kitchens is an area that many people believe to be irrelevant andnot a subject to concern, however the problems encountered might be larger thananticipated.The purpose of this essay is to get a view of how problematic moisture damagecurrently is as well as what can be done to prevent damage during the constructionand building of new housing.Statistics regarding moisture damage as well as several tools for damage preventionhave been studied and investigated. Industrial regulations have been reviewed tounderstand the requirements construction companies must legally follow during theconstruction and building of new kitchens. Home manufacturers and largerentrepreneurs have been contacted in order to get their point of view regarding theproblems with moisture damages in kitchens.The knowledge of moisture safe constructions is prevalent by home manufacturers,insurance companies and entrepreneurs. Despite this knowledge, the constructioncompanies predominately follow the industries regulations, which normally onlyimplement the minimum requirements.In order to get construction companies to design and build kitchens with increasedmoisture security, stricter industrial regulations might be needed to be implemented.Unlike bathrooms and laundry rooms, kitchens are not defined as a ?wet room? andthe regulations for the construction of kitchens are more lenient.It is difficult to detect water leaks in an early state and the moisture damage is usuallyextensive before it is discovered and repaired if the kitchen lacks moisture securedconstruction and water security.

SammanfattningSyftet var att beskriva skillnader i triagebeslut som förekommer bland olika personalkategorier samt att beskriva olika vitalparametrars betydelser för triage. En ökad belastning finns idag på den prehospitala akutsjukvården. För att fördela resurserna på bästa sätt, att ge vård inom rimlig tid som är nödvändig för patientens tillstånd, har triage införts. Triage innebär att bedöma och prioritera hur snabbt patienten behöver vård. Litteraturstudien hade en deskriptiv design.

PurposeThe purpose of this thesis is to provide a deeper understanding of how e-commercecompanies within the fashion industry are working with lead times and illustrate andanalyse differences and similarities between companies.Research question- In which ways are e-commerce companies within the fashion industry working withshort lead times?MethodologyThis thesis is based on a qualitative research method in order to achieve a greaterunderstanding of the chosen topic, of how the chosen companies are operating and toprovide room to our own interpretations and reflections. Interviews through telephonewere used to gather the empirical data from six different e-commerce companies withinthe fashion industry.ConclusionsAfter completing the theoretical and empirical analysis it can be concluded that leadtimes are considered essential for all of the participating companies but there is adifference in which way they look at, and how they work with lead times. Somecompanies stressed that short lead times are an important aspect of competition andclaimed that this is something they are constantly working with. For others the balanceand matching of supply and demand was the most important factor rather than toachieve short lead times.

Stabsarbete inom kärnkraftsdomänen kräver ett agilt beteende för att hantera den höga närvaron av komplexitet. Agilitet är förmågan hos en enhet att framgångsrikt genomföra, hantera och/eller utnyttja förändrade omständigheter. Syftet med arbetet är att utveckla ett mätverktyg för att identifiera indikatorer på agilt beteende i stabsverksamhet inom kärnkraftsdomänen.

Utbildningsområde omvårdnad, 2009 Fall och fallolyckor är ett mycket vanligt problem särskilt för patienter som är 65 år och äldre.

Bakgrund: Sömnen har en viktig betydelse för hälsan hos både friska och sjuka individer. Under sjukhusvistelsen upplever patienter besvär med sömnen och dessa besvär underskattas ofta av sjukvårdspersonalen. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa patienters sömn under sjukhusvistelsen samt beskriva vilka faktorer som stör sömnen. Metod: Litteraturstudien innefattar 11 granskade artiklar som har sammanställts till ett resultat med två kategorier och fyra underkategorier. Litteraturstudien genomfördes enligt Polit & Becks flödesschema.

Detta examensarbete behandlar rumsakustik som en viktig del i skapandet av en arkitektur för framförande av musik, samt upplevelsen av ljud. Projektet bygger på en idé att skapa nya möjligheter att skapa och framföra musik för musiker, vars arbete ofta begränsas av lokalbrist eller av olika föreningars intresseområden. Idén har utvecklats till en hybrid mellan ett nytt musikmuseum och ?Musikplatsen? - en plats för skapande och framförande av musik med liten publik. Musikplatsen blir en del av det nya musikmuseets program för att skapa nya samarbeten och ekonomisk hållbarhet.

Patienter i livets slutskede behöver få en trygg sista tid och vårdas på bästa sätt. Som sjuksköterska är det viktigt att göra den sista tiden som patienten har kvar så meningsfull som möjligt. Palliativ vård syftar till att förbättra livskvaliteten för patienter och familjer där döden nalkas. Målet för den palliativa vården baseras på fyra hörnstenar; symtomkontroll, teamarbete, kommunikation och relation samt stöd till närstående. Förutsättningen för en god palliativ vård är en fungerande och bra kommunikation mellan personal, patient och närstående.

Therehas been an interest to utilize natural ventilationinstead of mechanical ventilation among architects andHVAC consultants in recent years. This is due to thesize of mechanical ventilation systems, which arespace consuming. The mechanical ventilation system isalso complex and requires maintenance. Furthermore,the fan uses a considerable amount of energy.

Bakgrund: I en operationssal arbetar ett multiprofessionellt team. För att effektivt kunna bedöma och utvärdera kvaliteten på det intraoperativa teamarbetet, samt stärka patientsäkerheten, är det av stor betydelse att få en djupare förståelse för operationssjuksköterskors upplevelser kring begreppet teamarbete. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa operationssjuksköterskors uppfattningar om det intraoperativa teamarbetet. Metod: Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med 14 operationssjuksköterskor från två sjukhus i mellersta Norrland. Insamlad data analyserades med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur patienter som haft en hjärtinfarkt och/eller genomgått en kranskärlsoperation skattar sin oro och nedstämdhet före och efter ett års hjärtrehabilitering samt om det fanns skillnader mellan mäns och kvinnors skattningar.Enkäter innehållande patienters självskattning av oro och nedstämdhet före och efter hjärtrehabilitering, Hospital Anxiety and depression scale (HAD), samlades in från Hälsoinvest i Högbo. Författarna till denna studie valde att samla in enkäter från 1996- 2001.För att få delta i hjärtrehabiliteringen måste patienterna vara i arbetsför ålder och haft hjärtinfarkt och/eller genomgått kranskärlsoperation samt vara icke rökare. HAD- formuläret innehöll sju frågor rörande oro och sju frågor rörande nedstämdhet. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av 115 personer: 34 kvinnor och 81 män. Medelåldern på deltagarna var 52,4 år (range = 33-61 år).

Aim: The aim was to investigate the ambulance nurses experiences during a specific ambulance missions that led to usage of LUCAS ?.Method: Participating ambulance nurses were randomly assigned from a total sample group of 12 women and 39 men. Five women and five men participated. Qualitative interviews were conducted, where the Critical Incident Technique approach was used. Collected interviews were valued using qualitative content analysis.Result: Interview texts were divided into three domains, 10 subcategories could be identified which were sorted into three categories.

The development of productivity in the construction industry has long been at a steady state compared to the manufacturing industry. Studies have shown that, amongst other things, waste on construction sites can reach up to one third of the total production cost. This has been observed from different aspects, and change is forthcoming.This thesis aims to provide a foundation for an increased productivity at production sites of building bridges. It is primarily based on a field study at Skanska, at a bridge construction site near Grängesberg. Via continuous interviews with the whole production crew, construction workers and management, information on interference and possibilities of improvement at the work site has been documented.

I intend to examine how teachers interpret the purpose of preschools and the national curriculum and how they handle any problems rising due to the fact that the curriculum is just an instructional document and freely interpreted. Personnel working within the school system have different opinions on how to maintain a functional educational activity. How do they interpret the national curriculum and why? Are there any similarities or differences between different teacher?s views and is it possible to approach this in a constructive way? Is it really possible that personnel working at Swedish preschools are unaware of their purpose or is there another explanation?In this study I have worked according to the qualitative method and have been conducting interviews with the possibility to open follow-up questions with room for interpretation. A total of six people on four different preschools have been interviewed and their answers have been analyzed as a whole.The result from these six interviews shows that there are both differences and similarities in their interpretations of the purpose of the Swedish preschool.
