C2-monitor : en rapport om utvecklingen av ett mobilt gränssnitt
This report presents the development process of a mobile interface for the C2-monitor. A monitoring tool used to support the operations for the broadcasting services of Ericsson Broadcasting and Media Services (EBMS). With the support of the C2-monitor, operators can monitor hundreds of channels and services produced from EBMS. To enhance a more flexible working environment, the C2-monitor needs to be developed further to support mobile devices with a customized design to take advantage of mobile phones features and functionality. Established and well-recognized design methods and principles have been applied in the development process and user testing have been made iteratively throughout the project.

Introduction: The population of Sweden has during the last century doubled. An increased live expectancy results in an older population and the share needing medical care increases. Demographic and political changes in developed counties have resulted in changed demands on the care of the elderly. The elderly are discharged from hospital earlier and this results a significant responsibility on the elderly themselves and their relatives. Often the relatives are engaged in the elderly?s health problems, care needs and the future consequences the current situation results in for the elderly and the domestic life.

The topic for this essay is tutoring for nurses. The study is about nurses who work in a nursing home for the elderly and who want to get tutoring and more education. Qualitative method was used and twelve nurses who worked in a nursing home were interviewed. The interviews were taped and written down. Then relevant quotes were picked out of the text and placed into eight different themes.
Rättssäkerhet i barnavårdsutredningar : BBIC - ett nytt sätt att arbeta i socialtjänsten
AbstractThe Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare has since a year or so started to introduce a new way to work with childcare investigations within the social services. This new concept, BBIC, is meant to put the child?s needs in the first room rather than the grownup?s as it used to be before. This study is about to examine how BBIC affects the legal security of the children within these childcare investigations.BBIC was first developed in England after a massive criticism against the way that the foster home- and institutional care was handled. In Sweden, BBIC was first tested and developed into Swedish conditions in a few project municipalities for about five years but is now being introduced all over the country.
Mobila tjänster för studenter : En undersökning av mobilapplikationer för studentliv
This study aims to highlight the activities and needs of students in order to explain how mobile services can provide support and facilitate students on a daily basis. The empirical data is based on discussions with a focus group combined with already existing research concerning the areas of mobile service development, contextual-awareness and ubiquitous computing. The results from the focus group show that students have a need for mobile services to help and support them in their ordinary tasks and activities. ABSTRACTProblems with high turnover in nursing has escalated during the last years both nationally and internationally. according to previous research job satisfaction and quality of care was connected to specific features of the hospital work environement. It was also recommended by Coomber & Barriball (2007) to analyze job satisfaction at ward level with qualitative interviews to get a deeper and more extended insight in which specific features are of importance.The aim of this study was to investigate and describe the experiance of job satisfaction in relation to quality of care from nurses perspective. This study was carried out at an orthopaedic ward with primary nursing as organizational context of care.Two focus group interviews were conducted, they comprised nine nurses with at least two years experiance of primary nursing. A qualitative content analysis with inductive approach was used in order to develop more detailed insights of potential factors influencing work satisfaction at ward level.

Purpose: From an activity-perspective examine the meaning of housing accessibility and older persons´ perception of participation. Method: Systematic literature review of articles searched in the databases, Medline, Pubmed, Ahmed, Cinahl, Scopus and Google Scholar. Search on individual keywords, and in various combinations of the words home environment, home modification, occupational therapy, aging, accessibility and participation. Nine scientific articles were examined. Results: The articles were published between 2005 and 2009.
Omvårdnadspersonalens kunskaper och följsamhet till basala hygienrutiner: en kvantitativ studie : en kvantitativ studie
Nosokomiala infektioner förekommer världen över och är en stor orsak till sjukdomar och dödlighet. Även i Sverige är nosokomiala infektioner ett problem, både på sjukhus och i andra vårdformer. Basala hygienrutiner är den viktigaste åtgärden för att förebygga uppkomst av infektionssjukdomar. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka och jämföra hemtjänstens undersköterskor och vårdbiträden, gällande deras kunskaper och följsamhet till basala hygienrutiner, samt deras kunskaper angående den vanligaste smittvägen inom vården. Datainsamlingen gjordes med en enkät som innehöll 22 frågor. Fyra hemtjänstgrupper ingick i studien, där totalt 66 vårdbiträden och 30 undersköterskor inkluderades.
Sjuksköterskans upplevelser av den palliativa vården vid användadet av Liverpool Care Pathway
Syftet var att studera hur den palliativa vården upplevs av sjuksköterskor vid användandet av Liverpool Care Pathway. Studien baserades på data från sex informanter på särskild boende/korttidsboende i en kommun i Dalarna. Studien har en kvalitativ design med innehållsanalys enligt Graneheim och Lundman.Analys av insamlad data resulterade i de tre kategorierna: Tydliga kriterier ger trygghet i vården, Omvårdnadsarbetet har utvecklats och tydligare information. Resultatet visade att tydliga kriterier vid användningen av Liverpool Care Pathway i den kommunala vården gav den palliativa patienten trygghet i omvårdnaden vid livets slut samt klara kriterier som gjorde att personalen tillämpade lika arbetsätt i den palliativa vården. Att stanna kvar i hemmet vid livet slut var en självklarhet för den palliativa patienten när Liverpool Care Pathway var infört i kommunen.

Med hänvisning till hur fine dining restauranger i Sverige idag läggs ned alternativt byter koncept föreföll det relevant att undersöka vilka betydelsefulla faktorer som avgör huruvida ett fine dining koncept blir konkurrenskraftigt. Med hänvisning till detta formulerades syftet att identifiera betydelsefulla faktorer som bidrar till ett konkurrenskraftigt fine dining koncept. Med kvalitativ ansats och ett induktivt förhållningssätt har vi undersökt detta problem med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Studien har under hela processen utgått från FAMMs fem aspekter, rummet, mötet, produkten, atmosfären samt styrsystemet och modellen har använts för att analysera insamlad empiri samt strukturera resultatet. Studien har påvisat flertalet faktorer som bidrar till ett konkurrenskraftigt fine dining koncept.
Utvärdering av datoranvändning i primärvården med särskilt fokus på remisshantering
The aim of the thesis is to present a study of what works well and what does not work so well in today?s use of computers in primary care with a special focus on the use of computers in the management of referrals for consultation. In May 2009 a module for electronic consultation referrals was introduced in the computer system Cosmic at the University Hospital in Uppsala. Previously, the primary care units had to use two different systems for management of referrals. Referrals sent internally within primary care have been sent electronically while referrals to the University Hospital or other external units were sent on paper.

PurposeThe purpose of this thesis is to investigate the market of pedagogic consulting and how the customers look upon these kinds of services and what the consultants think about the market. The following five questions were investigated:What is the situation of the market of pedagogic consulting?- What needs and what demands are there of pedagogical consulting services? - What are the economic possibilities for schools and municipalities to buy professional development and consulting services?What do schools and municipalities think about their needs and what do they think about buying professional development from consultants?- How are the professional development offerings of the consultants recieved by schools and municipalities and is there a difference between the private and public sector of education? - What impact could professional development have on schools?In what way is the marketing for pedagogic consulting done?Method In this study I have chosen to have a qualitative approach with an abductive perpective. I made these choices to get closer to what I wanted to investigate. Through the abductive methodology it was possible to go between theory and empirics.

The public health care sector has come under increasing pressure to cut down costs, maximize productivity and satisfy patients' needs during the 1990s and onwards. As a way of "getting more for less" quality management has been introduced. Originating in the private manufacturing industry, quality management has a strong focus on productivity and efficiency, aspects which are measured in quantitative terms. However, there are strong concerns that quality management is a means of speeding up the marketization of public health care by introducing core values much different from the ethic and medical norms that traditionally underpin health care organizations.This essay focuses on how quality management has been introduced to, and transformed by, public health care. A theoretical framework based on new institutionalism is constructed, and translation theories are used as a way of illustrating how the medical institutional environment, in fact, changes the concept of quality management.
Närståendes behov av stöd vid palliativ vård
Background: Relatives are those persons who are closest to the patient, regardless of relationship and included into the patient´s life world. When a person is in a palliative stage this affects not only the patient but also the relatives, as it implies such a big change in life for all. The nurse has an important role for both the patient and the relatives. Aim: The aim is to highlight the relative´s needs of support for palliative care. Method: A literature review based on previous research. Ten articles were found, nine with a qualitative approach and one with both qualitative and quantitative approach. Results: The analysis resulted in six themes, these were the result of the study. The six themes were, ?to be seen an confirmed?, ?good communication?, ?continuous information?, ?availability and continuity?, ?to participate? and ?to share responsibility with the staff?. Conclusion: As a nurse we come in contact with relatives of patients in a palliative setting in any form.
Narkossjuksköterskors upplevelse och erfarenhet av kommunikation mellan vårdpersonal i en akut situation : en intervjustudie
Background: Good communication is very important for the safety of patients in emergency situations. Few studies have been conducted regarding communication among health care staff. The aim of the present study was to investigate anesthetist nurses experience of communication among health care staff during a situation of emergency in a hospital ward.Methods: The study is explorative and based on interviews with six anesthetist nurses. A qualitative content analysis was used as an analyses model.Result: The six anesthetist nurses experienced structured communication as of great importance during an emergency situation. Three main categories appeared from the material: i) the importance of the organization ii) communication structure and communication patterns and iii) education and experience with nine subcategories.
