The district nurses' duties with all organisational changes, above all during the last 20 years, have been changed. Economy and listing governs which visits that to be prioritized. The aim with this study was to examine what district nurses in the primary care in Uppsala län has for view about their occupational role. The method was qualitative and the selection comprized ten district nurses in Uppsala län that were interviewed individually on the basis of a semi structured interview guide that the authors the actual created. Ett par av de trick som används i virtual reality för att få 3D-världen att verka mer levande är stereoskopi och ett dynamiskt perspektiv med head tracking. Tidigare undersökningar har visat att head tracking har större effekt på 3D-upplevelsen än stereo [1], i alla fall när bilderna visas på en vanlig datorskärm. Den här undersökningen har försökt att ta reda på om samma sak gäller då den virtuella världen projiceras på en horisontell bordsskiva. Intressant nog går resultaten från det genomförda experimentet tvärt emot all teori. Tyvärr kan inga konkreta slutsatser dras eftersom alltför många felkällor har uppmärksammats, men studien öppnar ändå upp för framtida forskning..

According to the Swedish Red Cross, there are over 40 million people fleeing from war and conflict around the world. Some of these individuals are suffering from a disorder named PTSD (Post Traumatic Disorder Syndrome). This disorder is caused by previous experience incurred by war, conflict and violence. My intention with this study has been to increase the knowledge about refugees in Sweden suffering from PTSD syndrome. I have performed a study based on a project named Exigo.

This study was made for the Swedish forest company Sveaskog because the sawmills they delivered timber to had noticed a high frequency of bucking splits in their products. Coworker Jim Edström at Sveaskog also wanted to know if there was a big difference between different felling heads. The purpose with this study has been to find out the amount of bucking splits and if there is any felling head brand that did a bigger damage that the others. The study was made in two steps, where the first part was a literary review to find out results and conclusions in earlier studies. The best measuring method to check bucking splits was the known ?trissmetoden?.

The aim of this study is to examine the opinion of teachers as to the situation of young people suffering from Aspergers syndrome in the Sixth Form(gymnasium. In order to find this out I have chosen to interview four teachers with work experience of Aspergers in three different gymnasium in middle Sweden. They were confronted with the following questions: What resources are available for these pupils in the gymnasium? How do they experience that the school situation functions and how would they as teachers like the school situation to function for these young people at school?The result shows that special teachers have an extremely important function to fulfil. Those interviewed felt that there are sufficient resources available, for example guidance and further education for techers as well as both support and means for helping the young people.However, every teacher does not understand this handicap.

Bakgrund: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) är en sjukdom som finns hos ca 15- 20 % av befolkningen och som mest drabbar kvinnor. Symtom som diarré, förstoppning, magsmärtor, illamående, ångest och depression är vanliga. IBS påverkar patienter både fysiskt, psykiskt och socialt. Sjukdomen kan medföra minskad livskvalitet för patienter. Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att få en ökad förståelse om hur Irritable bowel syndrome påverkar livskvaliteten hos patienter med sjukdomen.

Fortifikationsverket which is the landlord for the Swedish national defence has a great problem in their forestry due to the relatively large amount of metal objects in their timber. These metal objects cause different types of economical losses in the timber refinement chain. To enable out sorting of logs containing metal objects already in the harvesting phase, Fortifikationsverket is interested of the possibility to utilize some type of metal detector in a harvesting head for that purpose.The goal of this study was to, with help of a case study, enlighten the problem that metal objects in timber cause for Fortifikationsverket and their customers of timber and to investigate conditions of to mount and utilize some kind of metal detector in a harvesting head at present.The saw timber deliveries by Fortifikationsverket during the time period 2003-2005 was used as a reference volume for calculations of economical losses. In this case study was included two sawmills where timber from Fortifikationsverket were delivered to for further refinement. Factors investigated were the type of damage metal objects caused in these two sawmills and the economical signification of these damages.

We have interviewed three adults with the diagnosis of Asperger syndrome with the aim to let them tell us about what it means to have a neuropsychiatric disability.

The birth of a child marks a new era for the parents. It is the beginning of something that will never end, because they will always be the child´s parents. This study investigates what happens when an infant is born whit Downs syndrome (Ds), and thus does not resemble the child the parents had expected. The purpose of this literature study was to describe the information and the support that the parents of a newborn child with Ds think that they need. The literature search was made in the database of Medline (via Pub Med), Academic Search Elite and manual search.

Detta är en kvalitativ studie med fenomenologisk ansats, som beskriver kvinnor med Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) och deras upplevelser av sjukdomen. Vårt syfte med studien är att öka kunskapen och förståelsen hos sjuksköterskor och övrig vårdpersonal, genom att låta kvinnor med diagnosen IBS beskriva sina upplevelser av att leva med syndromet samt hur de blivit bemötta vid kontakter med sjukvården. Målsättningen är att det holistiska omhändertagandet av patienten skall förbättras. Studien baseras på semistrukturerade intervjuer med sju diagnostiserade kvinnor. Materialet har sedan bearbetats utifrån Philip Burnards modell för textanalys.

This essay studies the practice of both the political and the administrative leadership at the municipal level from the point of view of the politicians and the chief officers leadership role, and the relationship between politicians and administrators. I discuss and analyse how politicians and senior officials practice leadership, differences or similarities and if their practice of leadership raises any challenges in a democratic framework at the municipal level. I conducted interviews with the municipal political leader and the head of administration at the municipal level in Karlshamn and Sölvesborg. In the analysis I discuss communication as a leadership process which highlights ?enabling elements? and potentials of the leadership process.

Introduktion:Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) är en vanlig kronisk mag- och tarmsjukdom. Sjukdomens olika symtom orsakas av en störning i mag- och tarmkanalen. Syfte: Litteraturstudiens syfte var att beskriva patienters upplevelse av att leva med IBS. Metod: Polit och Becks niostegsmodell användes i litteraturstudien. Litteratursökningen genomfördes i PubMed och CINAHL.

Introduction: Each year 1200-1300 patients are diagnosed with head neck cancer. Treatment that involves radiotherapy can cause severe side effects for example trismus that affects quality of life.Purpose: To study health-related quality of life in patients who have undergone radiation treatment for head and neck cancer and participated in a intervention group who received training intended to prevent trismus or in a control group who received standard treatment.Method: This is a prospective study in which data is collected from 66 patients participating in a randomized study aiming to evaluate a training program to prevent trismus. Thirty three participated in the intervention group and thirty three in the control group. Both patient groups assessed health related quality of life (HRQOL) with EORTC QLQ C30 and QLQ-H&N35, at start and end of the radiation treatment, and at 3 and 6-months after completing radiation treatment.Results: There is no difference between the intervention and control groups regarding symptoms, functional status and global health, except for intake of nutritional supplements.  For both groups almost all scales measuring HRQOL deteriorated under the radiation treatment. However, 3 and 6 months after end of radiotherapy HRQOL had improved and had returned to the baseline values.

Background and aim: Asperger syndrome is a neuropsychiatric disability which is essentially characterized by impairments in social interaction. Little is known about how these individuals experience social interaction and more distinctly close relationships. Therefore the purpose of this present study is to explore how initiating and maintaining close relationships could be facilitated for individuals with Asperger syndrome. Furthermore how these individuals would like others to behave towards them. By assuming an insider perspective the empirical data is based on the participants own descriptions of their experiences, thoughts and ideas about close relationships.Findings: Most respondents state that they experience difficulties initiating social interaction, the main reason being that they don?t know what they are expected to say or how to act in this type of situation.

Bakgrund: Att leva med Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) innebär en stor utmaning i det vardagliga livet. Personerna kan bli funktionshindrade på grund av de livslånga symtomen som IBS medför trots att IBS i sig inte är livshotande. Många personer med IBS upplever idag att information om egenvård från sjukvården är bristfällig, att de inte blir tagna på allvar, och att deras egna upplevelser förbises. Eftersom sjuksköterskan kommer i kontakt med dessa personer i sin yrkesutövning kan det anses vara användbart att ha kunskaper om dessa personers upplevelser för att bättre kunna bemöta dem och öka deras välbefinnande och livskvalitet.Syfte: Syftet var att belysa personers upplevelser av att leva med Irritable Bowel Syndrome.Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats som baserades på sju artiklar och analyserades enligt Graneheim och Lundmans tolkning av innehållsanalys.Resultat: I resultatet framkom fem kategorier av upplevelser; Olika känslouttryck, att acceptera den förändrade vardagen, önskan om förståelse och stöd, påverkan på integritet och självkänsla och social isolering och utanförskap.Slutsats: Denna studie har visat att personer med IBS har ett behov av att bli förstådda av sjukvården. Sjuksköterskan kan genom att öka sin kunskap om personers livsvärld och upplevelser av att leva med IBS bidra till att fler personer får stöd och hjälp från sjukvården.
