The primary source for obtaining that objective is the newspapers Vestkusten and California Veckoblad were the announcements from the associations are analysed. The thesis main questions are as following: Which ethnic aspects appears in the announcements from the Swedish-American associations in the newspapers Vestkusten and California Veckoblad 1910 and 1915? And What similarities and differences in the ethnic expressions appears in the primary sources during these periods?The conclusions can be briefed as there was a great variety of Swedish-American associations during the examined periods, there was a frequent occurrence in both religious and secular movements.

pcSKOG-gård is a computerised manager plan for private forest owners, developed by the pcSKOG AB. The program is based on forest stand data, joined with a map of the forest and GIS-applications. The purpose is to offer a program for private forest owners managing the forest and with the possibility of updating the actual status of the forest. The company pcSKOG AB is the leading producer of programs for forest management and has developed the program since 1997. The program is currently the most common program used by private forest owners in Sweden. The aim of this thesis, leading to MSc in forestry, is to investigate the purpose of the private forest owners when purchasing the pcSKOG-gård. The thesis also studies how private forest owners use the program, what they use it for and how the private forest owners state that the program has achieved to fulfil their expectations. The thesis is also a market research concerning the knowledge and attitudes the private forest owners have about the program and associated services. The study material has been collected during two phases.

Since the year 2005 listed companies are supposed to use international accounting standards when they set up their group accountancy. One thing that has changed with the new standards is the accounting of goodwill and long-lived intangible assets. Earlier companies were supposed to write of their goodwill during the years they had expected the extra profit to arise. According to the new regulation, an impairment test shall be done annually, as well as when there is an indication of decreased value. According to IAS 36 point 134, the company shall provide information in their accountancy about the impairment test.The aim of this study is to find out if some companies may be willing to reveal less information in their accountancy, and if there are any factors that affect this.

Miljöbron is a non-profit organization; their main purpose is to merge companies and students into different environmental projects. The projects can be an assignment, practical vocational training or degree thesis. Miljöbron is expanding and the demand from students and companies is rapidly growing. Because of the expansion, a large amount of information needs to be stored and managed in a structured database. Also the need of a interface that is structured and easy to use when managing information and Miljöbron?s statistics, for Miljöbron?s staff.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the managers? perspective on leadership in relation to the motivation of the employees by an example of a manning and recruitment agencies. This is implemented by framing of two questions; What kind of leadership can be identified by middle managers to motivate their employees? Which motivation factors are relevant to employees based on the perspective of the managers? To answer the question and identify leadership strategies and motivational factors and the relationship in between, we have conducted eight interviews with persons who Hold a middle management position. Through a qualitative investigation we have been able to go into depth and had access to these managers reflections, thoughts and experiences.

SammanfattningMålet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur döva föreläsare signalerar vad som är biinformation i en deskriptiv teckenspråkstext. Materialet består av tre olika föreläsningar som analyserats i annotationsprogrammet ELAN.Biinformation kan dels bestå av längre utvikningar och dels parentetisk information i form av korta inskjutna avbrott i huvudinformationen. Längre utvikningar tycks kräva en tydlig och explicit inledning och avslutning i form av lexikala uttryck medan parentetiska kommentarer verkar kunna markeras enbart med prosodi och utnyttjandet av teckenrummet.Analysen visar att det är mycket vanligt att man utnyttjar spatial förskjutning för parenteser, antingen genom att byta hand, placera tecknen åt ena sidan eller att rent fysiskt förflytta sig i rummet. Då en parentes avslutar ett tema (termination) verkar den ofta få en spatial förskjutning åt höger (till skillnad mot i narrativa texter där parentetisk information placeras till vänster i teckenrummet). Den åtföljs även av höjda ögonbryn och ofta hålls parentesen samman med hjälp av teckenfragment.I de fall då man återgår till huvudtemat som om parentesen aldrig funnits (continuation) verkar man istället använda sammandragna ögonbryn, uppdragna kinder samt ibland även rynkad näsa och kisning.

The purpose of this thesis project was to study how different companies are working with LastTime Buy and through that study propose improved ways of working with this for Scania CVAB. The project aimed at studying the work processes from three different perspectives:decision models, quality aspects and liability aspects between companies.To study this, qualitative interviews with one or several representatives from differentcompanies that are affected by or involved in Last Time Buy were used. Representatives wereselected partly from Original Equipment Manufacturers, suppliers, component manufacturersand companies offering third part solutions for Last Time Buy. The companies also reflecteddifferent industries. The interviews aimed to create an understanding for the methods used atthe different companies but also the ways of thinking and the knowledge behind the choice ofthese working methods.The analysis shows that the Original Equipment Manufacturers used very similar decisionmodels for Last Time Buy, but that external factors or the company strategy made them reachdifferent results.

Uppsatsens syfte är att identifiera kritiska framgångsfaktorer inom Internetpokerbranschen för att öka förmågan att analysera framtidsutsikterna i branschen. För att uppnå syftet utarbetas en branschanalysmodell som tar hänsyn till den dynamik som existerar i pokerbranschen. I uppsatsen används en kvalitativ metod och ett abduktivt angreppssätt. Det genomförs intervjuer med två Internetpokerföretag och två journalister med god insikt i branschen. Vidare görs en genomgång av marknadsläget i Internetpokerbranschen.

There are mainly two ways to transform the design of an existing park. You could either make a replanning of the park, an act that changes the design and the plant material in one swoop. Or you could use the management to change the expression of the park. To be able to develop the parks with the help of management, some form of goal is needed, that can make the management of the park strive towards an expression for the whole park as well as its individual parts. Among the documented goals, for individual parks and park management, which exist in the municipalities today, there seems to be a weak link between the all-embracing goals and the management that is carried out in the parks.
