Uppsatsen syftar till att genom hermeneutik och retorisk teori analysera Johannes Anyurus verk "Det är bara gudarna som är nya" och försöka utröna dess retoriska funktion, framför allt dess relation till den epideiktiska genren så som den definieras av Lawrence Rosenfield.Jag fann att "Det är bara gudarna som är nya" i första hand syftar till att berätta för berättandets och berättarens skull, samt att den på intressanta sätt ställer sig i en intertextuell dialog med många andra verk och olika sorters berättelser.Slutligen diskuterar jag lite kring verkets retoriska funktion och dess möjliga relationer till existerande teorier, samt den epideiktiska genren och dess relation till poesi som uttrycksform. Jag finner att verkets retoriska funktion med all önskvärd tydlighet är att förmedla tidigare okända sanningar om livet som författaren ser det, och att han uppnår detta förmedlande genom ett mycket kreativt användande av metaforer.Den generella slutsats jag når är dock att mer forskning borde göras på den epideiktiska genren ? den innehåller sannolikt mer än man hittills har hittat..

Alliansbildningsbeteende är ett viktigt och intressant ämne inom internationell politik och i internationella relationer.  Enligt den traditionella maktbalansteorin allierar sig stater med andra stater för att balansera mot externa hot. I Steven R. Davids ?omnibalancing-teori? hävdas däremot att statsledare i tredjevärlden allierar sig med stater för att bekämpa interna hot. I föreliggande examensarbete, som är en fallstudie, är ambitionen att visa att turkiska republikens relation med Kurdistanregionen i Irak är ett fall av ?omnibalancering? såtillvida att Turkiet därigenom söker hålla den kurdiska rörelsen på hemmaplan i schack.

AbstractThere is a lot of confusion when it comes to defining Special Education. An example of this appears here by a statement from Assarson (2007) "Special Education initiates a special pedagogy, but contains no innate sense of what is the special component in it" (p. 52, authors? translation). This study is an attempt to clarify the elements of the concept.

Bakgrund: Våld mot kvinnor i nära relationer är ett stort folkhälsoproblem. Vårdpersonal har en unik och viktig roll i kontakten med våldsutsatta kvinnor. Dessa kvinnor söker hjälp inom många olika delar av vården och är därmed en del av vårdpersonalens dagliga arbete. Syfte: Att belysa varför våldsutsatta kvinnor upplever bemötandet i hälso- och sjukvården bristfälligt och därigenom identifiera hur bemötandet kan förbättras. Metod: En litteraturstudie baserad på tio kvalitativa artiklar utifrån vilka tre teman identifierades: Att skapa en trygg miljö, Kommunikation samt Kompetens.

Uppsatsen är gjord som en systematisk litteraturstudie där sex artiklar analyserades. Vårt resultat visade att stress påverkade relationen negativt. Våra fynd visade att förmågan att skapa en relation minskade då både sjuksköterskan och patienten skapade en distans till varandra.

Det är en svår uppgift att ställa frågan om våld. Skolsköterskan är en person som kan göra stor skillnad i en elevs liv. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att belysa skolsköterskors upplevelse av att fråga barn om våld i hemmet. Metod: Fem intervjuer genomfördes med skolsköterskor praktiskt verksamma i skolor från förskoleklass och till årskurs nio.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the Swedish Plymouth brethren?s relation to contemporary technology. What types of technology are considered acceptable and where do they draw the line? Due to the brethren?s separation from the parts of the world they believe leads people away from God, such as the entertainment industry, immoralities etc., they reject use of television and radio. These two are viewed as uncontrolled types of technology since the user does not have control of its contents.

The aim of this piece of work is to highlight and investigate young female?s motivation in participation of P.E classes and the degree to which the content of classes affect their motivation. To support this piece of work two theories have been utilized, the Self-determination Theory and a gender related perspective theory. The research consists of six qualitative interviews of young females who are perceived to be less motivated. These interviews focus on their views and attitudes in relation to P.E within the Swedish high school setting.

Generellt kan sägas att det alltid finns ett spel och en relation mellan vårdgivare och vårdtagare, respektive bestraffare och den straffade. Detta framkommer tydligt i fängelsemiljö. Två centrala begrepp i diskussionen om kriminalvård är vård och straff. Ofta framställs dessa två som varandras motsats och som existerande oberoende av varandra. Man talar ofta om att döma någon till det ena eller det andra och tänker inte sällan i termer av återanpassning respektive vedergällning.Syftet med denna uppsats är att kartlägga begreppen vård respektive straff.

What role does the state play in economic development? This thesis seeks to investigate the relationship between a strong state and economic development. To define the concept of a strong state I focus on the relationship between the scope of state functions and the efficiency of which these functions are implemented. The concept of a strong state is in this thesis defined as the efficiency of the state functions. By using a database constructed by three economists; David Kaufman, Aart Kraay and Massimo Mastruzzi as a measurement of a strong state I test the relationship with economic development empirically.

The study is a qualitative survey with the purpose to through interviews with Employment Office social workers examine their perception of possibilities and obstacles in the employment market for immigrants. This purpose is specified through two specific problems; how are cultural and ethnic affiliations portrayed in relation to what is perceived as Swedish in the communication with Employment Office social workers and whether they reckon that the specifications in the employment market are pragmatically or normatively motivated. The materials are presented using a social constructivist perspective and in relation to previously conducted research and our chosen theory. The results are presented and analyzed in themes. The main conclusions drawn from the interviews are that it primarily is the individual prerequisites that are central, but that structural factors also affect the entry into the employment market.

Regional European Offices with the purpose to represent regions and municipalities in the EU-system have had a substantial expansion over the last years. One example is the North Sweden European Office for the counties of Norrbotten and Västerbotten, consisting of seven different headmen who are representing both the private sector as well as the public system. This diverse leadership representation makes North Sweden a very good example on a so called Quango, organisations that stand under simultaneous influence from both public and private sectors. These Quangos opens up new possibilities to solve public problems, but they also bring together two different working models which is not always easy to handle for a Quango. According to earlier surveys some characteristic Quango problems within North Sweden exist, for example the ability to prioritize and thereby be as effective as possible.

The aim of the study is to investigate conflicts in working lifefrom an individual and a relational perspective, as well as to illustrate how a conflict ishandled as part of a work organisation and a working environment.When a person experiences a conflict at work what do these experiences involve and how dothey affect the well-being of the person involved and the picture he or she has of him orherself?How does a workplace conflict develop over time and how can we understand its origin andcourse?How do individuals experience the way a conflict is handled in a workplace in relation to thestructure of the organisation and leadership?The study is based on a qualitative interview method with threeindividuals who have experienced workplace conflict. Through our study we endeavoured tofind an in-depth understanding conveyed through the life world perspective of theinterviewees, which is our empirical data. The analysis is related to the study?s background ofearlier research and theory within the field of workplace conflict.On the basis of our study can we illustrate that in order to prevent and handleworkplace conflict, clear communication and individual resources are required; these include:a reflexive ability to work out issues independently.

Patients in intensive care are often intubated, and therefore unable to speak, which leads to difficulties in communication. The ICU is a very stressful environment and can be experienced as foreign and frightening by both patients and their close ones. The ICU nurse?s caring responsibilities includes both the care of the critically ill patient and the support of relatives who are often in shock. This balance is not always straightforward, and acting professionally in both instances can lead to problems.
