Utomhusmatematik: Lärares, blivande lärares och elevers attityder till att lära in matematik ute : Finns vetenskapligt stöd för att utöva utomhusmatematik?

Mot bakgrunden att matematikresultaten sjunker i svensk skola är det viktigt att lärare använder metoder som bygger på evidensbaserad forskning. Denna systematiska litteraturstudie syftar till att bilda en djupare förståelse för utomhusmatematik genom att undersöka lärares och elevers attityder till metoden, samt om utomhusmatematik finner vetenskapligt stöd och kan rekommenderas som undervisningsmetod.Studiens resultat visar att både elever och lärare överlag ser positivt på utomhusmatematik då metoden bidrar till ett autentiskt lärande. Många lärares uppfattningar är att utomhusmatematik gynnar de yngre eleverna och att geometri och statistik är de delar av matematiken som är lämpligast att ta med utomhus. Utomhusmatematik motsäger kursmålen i alla länder där forskning på temat genomförts och metoden har svagt vetenskapligt stöd, då för få evidensbaserade studier på området utförts..

The main purpose of this thesis is to examine how the European Union through the Directorate- General (DG) of Education and Culture, are calling forth a constructed sense of European identity amongst the citizens of the Union.It is a discourse analysis, which can be described in twofold. Firstly, it is a mapping of the European discourse; i.e. how the European Union defines the identity it seeks to mobilise. Secondly, it examines whether or not there are similarities in the European discourse of identity and the traditional nation-building discourse of national identity.According to this thesis a European identity is articulated in cultural terms, whereby its members are said to share the same values and a common cultural heritage.To bring the people of Europe closer together and to deepen awareness of their "common" history, the European Union encourages all manner of meetings and exchange schemes between Europeans. Although its goal is to develop a feeling of belonging to a shared culture, the EU is also keen to preserve the specific aspects of Europe's many cultures.

Miljöundervisning i Dharamsala

During the last years, enviromental issues has been higly topical and everyone is involved in the end. To raise children into citizents who cares abuot the enviroment, the education has to start in the early years of school. The purpose of the examination is to investigate how the eniviromental education looks in a village called Dharamsala in northern India.Intervjues has ben done with three teachers working in different schools and one teacherstudent. I´ve also intervjued one tibetan munk whoes ben working as teacher and director. I´ve also studied a societyorgan that have a close realationship with most schools in the area.

Når budskapet fram? - en analys av utställningen Metropolis på Kulturen i Lund

How does the visitor experience the message and symbolism in an archaeological exhibition?Can they notice hidden elements in the exhibition and what decides if they see it or not?In my work I studied these things by making an investigation among exhibition visitors thathave much or none knowledge about archaeology and history. I wished to see how well theycan notice this and if knowledge is important for the understanding of the message and thesymbols. The case study takes place at the exhibition Metropolis at Kulturen in Lund, wherethe history behind and about the Medieval town of Lund is shown.My results show that the possibility for understanding the messages and symbolism exist, butthe chances to do so increase with knowledge.My goal was also try to give some guidelines for exhibition which will improve presentationof the exhibition. To express it shortly this include knowledge, self-awareness and to makevisitor´s studies.My paper also discuss related things: how exhibitions are made, the visitor, the society versusthe museum, the new growing trend towards the museum as a great experience, the changeswithin the museum world and how this affect the future of the archaeological museum..

Barnet eller ämnet? : Lärarstudenters preferenser av didaktiska val vid naturvetenskaplig undervisning i förskolan

Teaching in pre-school usually takes its starting-point in children?s reality and curiosity. Apart from that it has also been important to take contains of a special subject under consideration, for example development of language and communication or mathematics development. The purpose of this study was to investigate how natural science as a special subject in pre-school education is expressed by five trainee teachers when they teach children at the age of 2-7. Generally the study focuses on the students? teaching actions as well as their line of argument about their teaching and the choices they have to make.

Praktisk matematik integrerad med idrott: Geometri i idrottshallen

Vårt huvudsyfte med studien var att undersöka om praktisk matematikundervisning i idrottshallen kan motivera och stärka elevers lärande. Undersökningen utfördes med enkäter i fyra årskurs sju klasser, med totalt 72 elever i samt intervjuer med fyra lärare, på två olika grundskolor i södra Sverige under perioden januari-februari 2008. Eftersom urvalsgruppen var liten, kan vi inte dra några generella slutsatser. Bakgrunden till vår undersökning var att vi hade fått uppfattningen om att praktisk matematikundervisning inte förekom så ofta i grundskolan. Studien visar att lärarna använder praktiska undervisningsmetoder som ett stöd för att få djupare förståelse hos eleverna.

The aim of this dissertation is to within a context of learning and teaching elucidate the relation between user education and subject education by examining what significance the academic libraries user education has for the development of information literacy within students. Some epistemological theories connected with learning is presented as well as aspects of the information search process and of information literacy. Förintelsen i historieböckerna : En jämförande läromedelsstudie

This study of Swedish history books for grade 9 will examine and compare what the books say about The Holocaust and how it is presented. I analyse how the books present The Holocaust and how it is portrayed. I use questions to evaluate the content of the texts and thereafter I compare them to each other. My hypothesis is that history books are affected by the society in which they are written. Therefore I think that comparing books from different years, I will be able to see a difference between the books when it comes to the way they choose to present The Holocaust.

Religionsundervisningen i två mångkulturella skolor : Lärares respektive elevers syn på religionsundervisningen i två mångkulturella miljöer

This is a qualitative research paper, which aims to examine how religion classes are conducted in inner-city and suburban schools. Interviews have been performed with two religion teachers, one at Grindtorp School in Alby and one at the English Gymnasium in Södermalm. There have been performed interviews with eight students, four from each school. The students have a different age, sex and religious beliefs. With these interviews we can get a better understanding how the students of today?s school think about the religious education.

Is there something that we have to change?In this study I have asked our former students about their opinion of our education and I have also asked them to give me their view on what a good teacher is like. I have been able to benefit a lot from their answers in my efforts to be that good teacher. This survey took place at Facebook.The answers showed that we carry on a piece of solid workmanship. But you can always improve, try harder.

This work studied the information flow and information handling among different parties. The study focused on how educational materials on national tests from The Swedish National Agency for Education is managed by school principals and teachers and how the information is passed on to students. The data material was based on observations and interviews at two different high schools. Six teachers and their classes and principals participated in the study. The Agency was also interviewed.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate how student nurses seek and use information and libraries. Furthermore, I want to know how they think information can be used in their future occupation. Seven student nurses were included in the study. A qualitative method with personal interviews was used. The analysis of the empirical material was made according to a socio-cultural perspective.

The purpose of this study is to give a picture of the current status for the recruitment to forest machine operator educations in Sweden, how many the educators are and the outcome of this activity. The three at present different types of education are upper secondary school, polytechnic school and vocational school. The method used for the survey is telephone interviews, pre-broadcast issues were discussed and the responses were recorded. The results are then compiled and presented in linear form. The conclusions one can draw is that education is desirable and important. To get young people interested in forest machine operator education it is very important that the forest industry continues to develop attractive employment..

Specialpedagogik förr och nu : Tre stockholmsskolors specialpedagogiska arbetssätt

AbstractThis paper is about the organisation of the special needs education in three nine-year compulsory schools in Stockholm and the pedagogical thoughts and theories that underlie these organisations. The main purpose of the paper was to investigate whether the special needs education of these schools should be interpreted in accordance with a segregating or an including view on integration as these perspectives are presented by the Norwegian professor Peder Haug. In addition to this I also wanted to investigate if there were any historical arguments in favour of one or another of these perspectives that were still being put forward in today?s debate.The methods that I used were a study of literature regarding special needs education and interviews of a qualitative character with three special educationalists and a special teacher that were working on three different nine-year compulsory schools in Stockholm.The result of the study shows that a big part of the special needs education of the schools that I visited can be interpreted in accordance with the segregating view on integration.The organisation of the special needs education of the three schools differed slightly from school to school but the common trait was that the largest part of this work took place outside of the student?s regular classroom and sometimes outside of the scheduled school day.Two of the schools had special groups where students that were believed to have a need of special education got some, or their entire schooling. That the schools chose to build a big part of their special needs education upon solutions that should be regarded as segregating was motivated on the basis of an effect oriented view on education.
