Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva familjers upplevelser av att vara närstående till en vuxen person som har en cancersjukdom. Eftersom cancer är en vanligt förekommande sjukdom innebär detta att många människor kommer i kontakt med den på något sätt. Litteraturstudien genomfördes för att öka förståelsen för familjers upplevelser av denna situation och därigenom bidra till att förebygga vårdlidande. Metoden som användes var en systematisk litteraturstudie. Sökningen genomfördes i de vetenskapliga databaserna Cinahl, PubMed och PsycInfo.

Aortic insufficiency is a very common valve problem in horses and most often affects older individuals, but nevertheless existent within younger ones. The root cause for aortic insufficiency can be varied, for example; endocarditis, ventricular septum defect or congenital valve disease but the most common are progressive valve degeneration or elite competition. Depending on the root cause, different changes can be observed on the aorta valves, but they do all have the same effect, the valves do not seal properly and blood leaks backwards. Many horses can, even with this deficiency, perform highly without any visible impacts and there is therefore no need to treat those subjects. Most often the symptoms arise at a later stage in life and they are, more often than none, put down for other reasons. In the occurrence of the clinical symptoms showing, treatment guideline is to inhibit these symptoms since the valve degeneration is presently irreversible.

Building on the concept of constructive iconoclasm as a creational force of iconicity, this thesis examines how the contemporary iconoclastic discourse is related to artistic process. Studies have shown that the performative act of destroying art that is an historical phenomenon is highly present within the contemporary art discourse today. Due to the many dimensions of contemporary art, the ways in which iconoclastic deeds appear may differ from the historical narrative. While iconoclasm and iconicity are being reciprocal processes that can only exist in relation to each other and their context, there are signs that the destructive act itself is being recontextualized by contemporary artists. Guided by the framework of Norman Fairclough?s critical discourse analysis, the thesis examines the processes of conceptual and constructive art destruction by analyzing the discourses of two case studies situated in the contemporary art market.

Bakgrund: Idag beräknas minst 40 miljoner människor leva med den kroniska sjukdomen HIV. När HIV blev känt under 80-talet ansåg många att det endast var homosexuella eller personer som levde ett promiskuöst liv som smittades vilket gjorde att de smittade behandlades illa och frystes ut från samhället. Kunskapen inom området har ökat sedan dess, dock lever stigmatiseringen i samhället och inom vården kvar. Syfte: Att belysa hur personer med HIV upplever stigmatisering. Metod: Studien som gjorts är en allmän litteraturstudie baserad på 15 vetenskapliga artiklar.

Demens är en sjukdom som huvudsakligen drabbar de äldre och som i hög grad också påverkar livet för de närstående. Det är ofta de närstående som tar huvudansvaret för omvårdnaden och det är viktigt att de får stöd. Stödet kan ges i olika former och kan komma både från professionella vårdare och från familj och vänner. Syftet med denna studie var att belysa närståendes upplevelser av stöd vid vård av en person med demenssjukdom i hemmet. En kvalitativ metod i form av intervjuer med sex närstående och innehållsanalys användes.

Att gå ner i vikt kan göras på flera olika sätt. Det kan t.ex. vara att äta efter en strikt diet, byta ut mat till olika måltidsersättningar som ofta är i form av pulver eller gå ner i vikt med hjälp av en operation. Ytterligare ett alternativ till att gå ner i vikten är kurser som arbetar med individanpassade livsstilsförändringar med hjälp av kognitiv beteende terapi (KBT). In this study, company reconstructions and the financing of current accounts hereof are analysed from a perspective of insolvency law. The purpose with a company reconstruction is to maintain the operations of the company despite the insolvency of the mandator. In contrast to bankruptcy proceedings the person liable for payment stays in charge of the operations. However, this person is not allowed to sign for new loans, issue pledges of security for these loans or in any other way enter new obligations without the approval from the temporary company reconstructor. Besides providing for a successful reconstruction the reconstructor also has to consider the interests of creditors, especially to maintain the preferential order of the creditor's claims, keeping them unchanged in case of a formal bankruptcy.

I arbetet beskrivs hur en person under påverkan av Rohypnol i olika mängder kan pendla mellan liv och död. Med hjälp av litterära källor och samtal med vårdkunnig personal berättas det att en person kan använda Rohypnol som en hjälp för att försätta sig självt i ett stadie där känsla av oövervinnerlighet och styrka dominerar. Den verksamma substansen i Rohypnol, Flunitrazepam, har normaldoseringen 0.5-1.0 mg. Även andra droger som alkohol, cannabis och amfetamin förstärks av flunitrazepam. Denna process kallas läkemedelsinteraktion, och innebär att två olika substanser påverkar varandras egenskaper vad gäller nerbrytningen i levern.

By the year of 2007, 97 % of all listed companies in Europe had a CSR strategy described on their website. As the concept of CSR during the last decades has increased rapidly in popularity, a need to understand how such a strategy can be implemented has followed. While working with CSR in an integrated manner shows similarities to other popular management ideas, such as Lean and TQM, companies applying to a CSR strategy has been shown to be under higher scrutiny from media and NGO:s. Through a case study this thesis examines how these special circumstances of a CSR strategy makes The Body Shop use organizational control to avoid being subject to scandals due to not fulfilling the promises made to its customers. The results show that The Body Shop's commitment to CSR creates a need for a stringent bureaucratic control system that highly restricts the freedom of action for its employees.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the driving forces and barriers which may exist at the implementation of green supply chain management (GSCM) within public organizations. Suggestions that may increase or reduce driving forces and barriers to public activities will also be provided, where such is found. The background of the study is that the public sector is such a major customer for many companies / providers, which makes the sector able to highly affect its suppliers. This essay is based on literature studies. The results showed that GSCM is a relatively unexplored area, especially applied on the public sector.

Schizofreni är en sjukdom som är fascinerande och en av de mest tragiska. I sjukdomsbilden ingår det autism, associationsrubbningar, ambivalens och affektiv rubbning. Schizofreni ger ett utanförskap från samhället och en känsla av ensamhet på grund av svårigheter att fungera i sociala sammanhang. Begreppen som behandlades i studien är livsvärld, subjektiv kropp och lidande. I tidigare studier har det visats att människor som lever med schizofreni upplevde en stor ensamhet och utanförskap i samhället.

This study examines the closure of public libraries, and the nonprofit organizations takeover of them as a phenomenon. The aim is to understand why the nonprofit takeover is common and what the takeover symbolizes and if the discourse in media invokes the views on libraries and the profession.Interviews were made with librarians, politicians and representatives of a nonprofit organization to study different sides of the phenomenon. Other empirical data were found in local and national newspapers and media-channels. I discovered that public libraries are highly valued by both politicians and the community. The study also showed that a library in a community makes people feel valued.

Background: The patient meets nurses in the emergency department that provide both nursing and has medical skills. The care that the patients are receiving should be individually adjusted. The care is shaped by the individual meeting with the patient according to the nursing theorist Orlando. There are large variations between the number of patients in an emergency department and it sets high demands on the staff, both physically and mentally. When the emergency department is highly loaded there is a priority for medical care and psycho-social and aesthetic aspects will have to wait.

During the autumn 2009, a 15 hp degree project was accomplished. The objective of the study was to describe different equipment alternatives, suitable for fresh market apple harvest. A field study was conducted during the harvest period to evaluate the efficiency (kg / person/ hour), using the different equipment. Four different systems are described in the study; Pick-ing-bag, Picking-train, Pluk-O-Trak and the Conveyor Harvester. The information about the systems is based on interviews with growers together with previous studies.

The present thesis is about how preschool children develop their language skills. The purpose is also to discuss how library and preschool can collaborate and in different ways together help the children to achieve different skills and to use their first and second language in a more appropriate way. The main problem identified from literature and own observations is why library and preschool dont collaborate to help young children to develop their language skills? Which reasons are behind a lacking collaboration? What can be done to increase collaboration between the library and the preschool? How can librarians and preschool teachers use their different professional skills in the best manner to be able to help the children to develop their skills in language acquisition? Is it possible to measure childrens language skills and how can one decide what characterizes a good collaboration? We started with a literature review and continued with collecting qualitative data by means of interviews with people who worked as librarians and preschool teachers, who were supposed to collaborate in a language oriented project. We have chosen different language theories by well-known scientists and we have only picked a few of them, which we considered relevant for the chosen topic.
