The aim of this essay is to examine how educated immigrants from former Yugoslavia are experiencing the Swedish labor market and if they feel that there are factors that complicate their ability to establish themselves in the Swedish labor market. We have also examined whether and if so, how their status has changed in connotation with the move to Sweden. The method we have used is a qualitative interview study where we asked questions from a semi-structured interview guide. We chose to make use of both previous research and a number of analytical tools for using these to interpret inequality and discrimination that exist in the Swedish labor against educated immigrants. The results presented four factors that our respondents perceive contribute to difficulty in establishing themselves in the Swedish labor market, these are: contacts, name, validation and trainee post.

Upplevelsen av att leva med tidig demenssjukdom kan vara svår och kan innebärakänslor av misslyckanden, sorg och förlust av autonomi för personer meddemenssjukdom. Denna litteraturstudie syftar till att beskriva personers upplevelse av den egna identiteten vid tidig demenssjukdom. 13 artiklar analyserades med en kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier. Resultatet visade att personer med demenssjukdom strävade efter att vara samma person som förut genom att vara självständig och bibehålla personliga roller så långt som möjligt.Upplevelsen av att förlora sin tidigare person innefattade förlust av aktiviteter ochroller.

När en person insjuknar i stroke påverkas även de närståendes livssitua- tion. Det är viktigt att sjuksköterskan förstår vilka problem närstående ställs inför för att kunna stödja dem genom hela vårdkedjan. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva upplevelser hos närstående till personer som drabbats av stroke från insjuknandet och under de första åren i hemmet. Artiklarna i studien identifierades via referensdatabaser samt analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats. Ana-lysen resulterade i fem kategorier: Att förstå vad som har hänt, Att vilja vara involverad och bli sedd, Att upptäcka och inte känna sig förberedd för de nya krav man ställs inför, Att inse och anpassa sig till att livet förändras, Att behöva men sakna stöd för att orka fortsätta.

There are no set guidelines on how to interpret the criteria?s in the adjustment rule within the meaning of the companies act. The criteria?s are not discussed in literature and the Swedish case law in this area is very limited. A reason for the limited use of the adjustment rule is the slow and very costly process, which does not grantee the outcome of the case.

Nathalia Edenmont is a controversial and uncompromising photo artist who has caused the whole world to rage over her obscene photographs. In this thesis I have researched Edenmonts artistry with help of the sociologist Pierre Bourdieus field analysis. By using Bourdieus's different field concepts I have researched Edenmonts artistic career by concepts such as habitus, consecration and different principles.The starting point of this research has been that Nathalia Edenmont is in the autonomous artistic field. I give examples of images that have been highly debated and I have collected information of how Edenmont sees her own images and her artistry. In this thesis I show amongst other things an example with Edenmonts photograph of dead rabbits with Elizabethan hair styling, cut up mice that work like finger puppets and children who are bound up in wire.Nathalia Edenmont autonomous artistry is deeply rooted in her background and the environment in which she was raised.

Under 2010 dömdes ungefär 9700 personer runt om i Sverige till att avtjäna ett fängelsestraff, och inom tre år beräknas cirka 40 procent av dessa ha återfallit i någon form av kriminalitet. Under samma år genomgick cirka 60 procent av de intagna olika brottsförebyggande program (BRÅ 2011:11). I genomsnitt beräknas en kriminell person kosta samhället cirka en miljon kronor om året, något som medför stora ekonomiska kostnader för samhället (Riksrevisionen, 2009).Undersökningen genomfördes genom att intervjua sex stycken före detta kriminella, detta för att ta reda på deras upplevelser av kriminalvården och vilka faktorer som bidragit till att de inte återfallit i kriminalitet. Utöver de sex intevjuerna med före detta kriminella gjordes en intervju med en högt uppsatt person inom kriminalvården. Intervjuerna analyserades med hjälp av en kvalitativ innehållsanalys och resultaten av den visar att respondenterna anser att kriminalvårdens återfallsprevention inte fungerar särskilt bra.

With increasing wine consumption and a growing assortment at available to Swedish consumers, there is an interest in understanding the decision making process of Swedish wine consumers. In this thesis the expert phenomenon is studied with respect to wine through wine critic reliability: grading objectivity, understanding the process of wine criticism and possible critic influence on consumer behavior. Two studies were performed; a qualitative in-depth session of interviews with industry connoisseurs and a quantitative analysis of 589 online wine reviews. Our results indicate that wine reviews are highly subjective and defy prediction through analysis of external variables. Critics are likely to judge differently based on what information they have at hand, suggesting that expectations affect grading.

Freshwater ecosystems have long been neglected as an important part of the global carbon cycle. However, research shows that most of the world?s lakes are net-heterotrophic and consequently emitters of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. In many boreal and north-temperate lakes, most of the yearly emissions usually occur in spring, shortly after ice-thaw. The aim of this study was to quantify the flux of carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) in three boreal lakes, during this annual event.

Urban trees contribute significantly to our society. By providing ecosystem services and a habitat that other urban species and ecosystems depend on, both biodiversity and the people in the city benefit. Some characteristics that the trees possess include functioning as biological filters for the atmosphere and water, as well as positively impacting people's mental health. However, urban trees are challenged by stressors such as pollution and a drier environment, making them particularly sensitive to climate change. The goal of this study was to estimate the expected magnitude of climate change in Gothenburg and compare it with the current urban species' natural climate boundaries to understand the extent of the climate threat and which species appear to be most at risk.

The purpose of this study was to conduct a market survey in order to form a marketing plan to enhance and communicate the image of Vreta Kloster Golf Club. To accomplish this, the authors conducted a situation analysis on the mentioned club. Data was collected through interviews as well as secondary sources. A qualitative content analysis was used to process the interviews. The secondary sources? credibility was scrutinized before their data was used.

Background: Each year approximately 30 000 people suffer from stroke in Sweden, often with substantial mental and physical consequences. Those who suffered from stroke handled the situation by mourning what they had lost and by accepting their changed body and life situation. For those who provide care for people who has suffered a stroke help and support was required. The caring science perspective was based upon caring and suffering. Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe family caregivers? experiences of caring for persons who had suffered a stroke.

In my thesis, I set out to study academic peer reviews in the hope of clarifying the experts? views on what qualities and qualifications are desirable when appointing or promoting scholars within History of Science. I also investigate whether or not these views change over the years, as I have studied opinions written between 1980 and 2010. I use a qualitative method of analysis, in which I study what words in the peer reviews are used to describe certain values, and how these words relate to the historical and political background of History of Science in Sweden. My research indicates that academic experts are starting to adapt their opinions to the change in educational politics that has taken place during the second half of the 20th century.

Att plötsligt insjukna i akut sjukdom är för den drabbade personen men även för hans eller hennes närstående en stor belastning med många blandande känslor. För ambulans-sjuksköterskor hör detta till vardagen men för de utsatta blir verkligheten hotad och medvetenheten om förlust av den sjuke blir påtaglig. Närstående till personer som vårdas inom akutsjukvården är ofta i en mycket utsatt, sårbar men framförallt ny situation. Syftet med denna intervjustudie var att beskriva upplevelsen av att vara närstående till en svårt sjuk person fått ambulanssjukvård. Sammanlagt åtta närstående intervjuades med en kvalitativ forskningsintervju som därefter analyserades med en tematisk innehållsanalys.

ABSTRACT The potato has had an important role in the Swedish dietary customs for quite some time. However, during the last forty years, consumption has decreased from 87 kg/year and person to 46 kg/year and person. Other products such as pasta, rice and bulgur are competing with the potato. Many of the competitors have been developed and refined while the potato has not changed much. The potato is still a bulk product while competing products have been differentiated. Stakeholders within the potato market has realized that something has to be done and today there are a number of organizations and networks that all actively work to preserve the Swedish agriculture and specifically the potato as a product. The purpose with this essay is to examine how store managers in the Swedish grocery stores view the handling of the potato in the store, the quality and packaging, marketing and future consumption.

Syftet med denna beskrivande litteraturstudie var att beskriva vårdpersonals attityder till personer med psykisk sjukdom. Litteratursökning genomfördes i databaserna Medline och PsycINFO och totalt valdes 15 vetenskapliga artiklar ut. Resultatet delades in i två huvudkategorier: attityder till psykisk sjukdom samt skillnader i attityder. Resultatet visade att vårdpersonal generellt sett hade en negativ syn på personer med psykisk sjukdom och ansåg att de var farliga, oförutsägbara och mer benägna att ta till våld. Detta ledde till att personalen försökte undvika konflikter med dem och de tyckte även att det var svårt att kommunicera med dem.
