Uppsatsen grundas i ett personligt och yrkesmässigt intresse av att veta mer om en specifik elevgrupp: unga muslimska kvinnor från en arabisk kulturell kontext. Syftet är att undersöka denna grupps religiositet och deras meningsskapande kring att vara religiösa och kvinnor. Metodologiskt utgår uppsatsen från det konstruktivistiska antagandet att kunskap om verkligheten skapas socialt. Den narrativa metoden sätter kvinnornas berättelser i fokus och jag har studerat narratologiska teman och vändpunkter i berättelserna för att tydliggöra hur mening konstrueras. För att komma åt livsberättelsen har jag utfört intervjuer enskilt och i par samt utfört en observation.

Syftet med arbetet har varit att genom litteraturstudier och samtal med elever och lärare ta reda på vad en bästisdyad är, hur den fungerar och vilken betydelse den har för flickor. Jag har sökt finna svar på ovanstående frågor genom kvalitativa intervjuer som har haft karaktären av samtal. I resultatet redovisas intervjuer med tre bästispar och deras klassföreståndare. Svaren berör tankar omkring beroende, jämlikhet, identitet, status samt strategier för att bevara dyaden intakt.I diskussionen ställs de tre bästisdyaderna i relation till de teorier som redovisats i litterarugenomgången..

This project investigated how elevation and vegetation type influences variation in plant litter phenolic content and protein precipitation capacity among and within common plant species for two different vegetation types, heath and meadow, in a subarctic ecosystem in the Abisko region of northern Sweden. As nutrient availability generally decreases with increasing elevation as a result of decreasing temperature, I hypothesised that phenolic content would increase with elevation and be higher on the heath than the meadow. To test this, the total phenolic content and protein precipitation capacity was estimated in leaf litter from 13 species in both heath and meadow vegetation across an elevational gradient ranging from 500 to 1000 meters above sea level (m.a.s.l.) in the study region. The results showed that elevation and vegetation type both had a strong impact on both variables. Total phenolic concentrations decreased with elevation for the meadow, and were greater for the heath than the meadow.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the constructions of sexuality, which are produced when judgments concerning asylum are made, based on an asylum seeker?s sexual orientation. The question formulations are the following: Which constructions of sexuality are produced when necessary condition, fear of persecution due to sexual orientation, is applied in judgments regarding refugee status? Furthermore, how constructions of sexuality differ in the judgments where the asylum seeker has been consented and rejected is investigated. The empirical material consists of 13 judgments, which were announced between the years 2009-2013 by the Migration court.

In light of the massive property bubbles that have been bursting in the USA, Spain and Ireland during the last decade, the aim of this thesis is to clarify whether ? or to what degree - the municipality of Stockholm might experience a property bubble in the near future. The municipality of Stockholm is undergoing a housing shortage and house prices have risen during the last few years. Neoliberalism and property bubbles are used as a theoretical framework in this paper. The methodology consist of semi structured interviews, analysis of documents and statistical data from Eurostat, Valueguard and the Swedish administrative authority; Statistiska centralbyrån (SCB).

Undersökningens syfte är att med hjälp av intervjuer redovisa sex gymnasielärares uppfattningar om deras yrkesetiska principer. Fokus ligger på principernas syfte, diskursaktualitet och applicerbarhet. Resultatet visar att lärarna ser yrkesetiken som ett förhållningssätt samt en del i status- och professionsfrågan. Research question: How does the industrial company Scania work to get more women in leadership positions?Purpose: The purpose of this work is to describe how companies in a male-dominated industry can work to get a higher share of female leaders.Method: This survey was based on a deductive approach with a qualitative method. Theories have been obtained primarily from scientific articles and the empirical part has been collected through interviews from the companies Wiminvest and Scania.Conclusion: The conclusions the study came up with was different elements that companies in male-dominated industries can work with to get a higher share of female leaders. The first thing that companies can do is to join the project BON or similar projects to work on this issue. They can work with workshops and lectures to disseminate knowledge about the topic.

Metabolic diseases in dairy cows are considered to increase the risk for claw lesions, most of all laminitis, sole haemorrhages and sole ulcers, but also to increase the risk for environmental claw lesions. The aim of this study was to compare claw health in 27 Swedish dairy farms, 18 with high incidence of metabolic diseases and 9 with low incidence. Data on claw health status was retrieved from recordings at routine claw trimmings and analysed on herd level regarding the prevalence of: any lesion, interdigital dermatitis, heel-horn erosion, sole haemorrhages, sole ulcer, lameness, abnormal claw shape, and other diseases (abscess in the white line, limb disorders, double sole, laminitic groove, white line disease, interdigital phlegmon, interdigital hyperplasia, toe abscess and verucose dermatitis). Mean prevalence of any lesion for herds with low incidence of metabolic diseases was 48 % and in herds with high incidence 41 %, and there was no statistical difference between the two groups. This study aimed to investigate whether lambs show anticipatory behaviours in a holding pen prior to entering a known arena, whether the holding pen experience prior to the arena exposure affects their play expression in the arena and whether their behaviour (in home pen) is affected if arena access is denied. Twenty pair-housed male lambs (average 14 weeks old), were exposed, in chronological order, to five treatments. Holding pen treat-ment (HP-control): Each pair was led into a holding pen (2.7 m2) and remained there for 5 minutes before returning to their home pen (6 m2). Holding pen ? arena treatment (HP-A): Each pair was led into a holding pen for 5 min and then was allowed access into the arena (22 m2, containing two hanging chains, one ball and one platform) for 15 min before re-turning to their home pen.

Costs of maintenance on combines are a subject of interest thus it constitute a large investment and cost for the individual farmer. Therefore it is important to have up to date knowledge and the right facts to be able to do reliable calculations on one of the largest investments for a farmer. The aim of this study was to compare costs of maintenance on combine/threshingmachine with the computer program for advising environmental issues in agriculture, STANK. Interviews took place and data were collected by handing out questionnaires to 20 farmers. A similar study conducted by Neuman (2003) investigated costs of maintenance and compared these with STANK. The results of this study have also been compared and examined related to data from SLA - Skogs och Lantarbetsgivarförbundet. The result shows that 18 out of 20 combines were given a higher cost of maintenance when using STANK compared to the numbers in this study.

Silicon is also known to be important for the deposit growth but it is not possible to say in general if higher or lower contents of silicon is better. Den konstnärliga verksamheten i den svenska gymnasieskolan har förändrats i och med GY 2011 (Skolverket, 2011). Den största förändringen rör kursen estetisk verksamhet som har tagits bort som gymnasiegemensamt ämne och ersatts med historia. Föreliggande studie försöker besvara hur lärare i de estetiska ämnena, bild och musik, ser på sina ämnen samt roll och funktion i skolverksamheten. Studien försöker även utröna hur lärarna ser på ämnesintegrering och hur de upplever borttagandet av estetisk verksamhet. Frågeställningarna besvaras genom att anlägga ett kunskapssociologiskt perspektiv där begreppet kunskapskultur används som undersökningsverktyg.
