Vissa immigranter kan inte tala det språk som är officiellt i det land de immigrerat till. Det leder till högre krav på sjuksköterskors kompetens.Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva sjuksköterskans erfarenhet av att kommunicera med immigranter som inte talar det språk som är officiellt i det land personen immigrerat till.Metod: Litteraturstudie baserad på nio kvantitativa/kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar. Manifest innehålls analysResultat: Sjuksköterskor upplevde att faktorer som påverkade kommunikationen var resurser, där tid och tolk var av betydelse. Kunskap, så som kulturkompetens.

The energy consumption continues to increase as the use of electronics and energy consuming equipment increases. The use of fossil fuels has to be phased out for this to be sustainable in the long run while the use of renewable energy continues to increase. A renewable energy source is solar energy but the production of heat and electricity are today very expensive compared to other energy sources and an important task for the solar energy market to grow is therefore to minimize the production cost of the solar collectors while increasing its efficiency to produce heat and/or electricity. One way to convert solar energy into heat is by using solar collectors and electricity can be produced by utilizing the produced heat, or by applying solar cells.This thesis aims to recommend a reflective material for the next generation solar collectors from Absolicon and to recommend a commercially available coating for the receiver tube of the solar collector. A market study has been carried out to investigate the cost-related aspects along with the optical and durable aspects for the optical material of the solar collector.

Dysfagi, sväljsvårigheter, förekommer i alla åldrar och vid en rad olika sjukdomstillstånd och skador. Evidensläget för de olika metoder som används för diagnostik och intervention vid dysfagi är i många fall osäkert. Syftet med denna studie var att ur ett evidensperspektiv granska forskningen med avseende orofaryngeal dysfagi hos vuxna. En omfattande databassökning genomfördes i PubMed mellan april och augusti 2011, begränsad till engelska och svenska studier, med deltagare över 19 år. Sökorden som användes var bland annat dysphagia (43 259 träffar), deglutition disorders (36 278 träffar), intervention, management, assessment, evidence, validity och reliability.

Climate and environmental issues is now high on the agenda. We live in a generation that must try to solve some major environmental problems. Buildings and habitations account for approximately 40 % of Sweden's total energy today. To reduce this figure, as needed, more research in the field of energy efficiency is required.This thesis concerns the heating of buildings. The load on district heating is heavy during certain times of the day.

In Sweden, a big part of the energy use is used in the housing sector. Political goals and targets are set up which the housing sector needs to work towards. Apartment buildings are a major part of the housing sector in Sweden and therefore reduction of energy use in these kinds of buildings are key to lower the energy use in Sweden. But there are not only political incentives to reduce the energy use. Some energy?saving measures are directly profitable and should thus be performed.

Bakgrund och syfte:Multidisciplinär hemrehabilitering för personer med milda till måttliga strokesymtom har visat sig vara en evidensbaserad intervention. Flera studier hade gjorts inom ämnet, men det saknades en tydlig beskrivning av åtgärderna och dess innehåll inom multidisciplinär hemrehabilitering. En sådan kunskap bedömdes vara viktig för att arbetsterapeuten skulle kunna arbeta utifrån arbetsterapeutiskt perspektiv. Syftet med denna studie var att sammanställa den kunskap som fanns inom multidisciplinär hemrehabilitering, avseende dess åtgärder, effekt och faktorer som påverkade rehabiliteringens effekt samt för- och nackdelar med den multidisciplinära hemrehabiliteringen.Metod:Litteraturstudie där både artiklar med kvalitativa och kvantitativa metoder inkluderades.Resultat:Åtgärder som utfördes inom multidisciplinär hemrehabilitering var bl.a. insiktsträning, kompensatoriska strategier, uppmuntran till att hitta egna problemlösningar och att anta uppmaningar på rätt nivå, uppgift- och kontextorienterade metoder, guidning, kommunikationsträning, information och rådgivning.

District heating covers around 80 % of the heating demand in apartment buildings and 10 % in single-family homes in Sweden. In the year 2010 the total input of energy to the Swedish district heating grids was about 70 TWh, which corresponds to 11 % of the total energy input to the whole energy system in the country. Through the combined production of heat and power the CHP-plants often reaches an efficiency of 90 % from energy in the fuel to produced heat and power. In order to keep the efficiency high it is important for the owners of the plant to have good knowledge about the plants performance at different operation points. Strängnäs Energi AB initiated this diploma work together with FVB Sverige ab in order to come up with a program for short term planning of the production of heat and power at the company´s CHP-plant.The work consists of three main parts.

At the Division of Electricity at UppsalaUniversitythere are ongoing researches, including a research concerning turbo generators.Turbo generators produce a large share of electricity in the world; however they are costly mainly due to the fact that the cooling and ventilation that are needed to eliminate the excess heat from the generators are expensive. Turbo generators work with high efficiency and in this project, the main task is to simulate a generator while taking into account that the generator must be designed against self-oscillation, centrifugal force, exhaustion and heat. The turbo generator must be simulated without being too expensive and complicated.In this project, the dimensions of the turbo generator depend on the efficiency of it, and where the losses are in the generator. Furthermore, the optimum values need to be chosen with the help of the ACE simulation program. The report begins with an introduction describing the project followed by a task description that is dealing with the project.

Kritiskt sjuka patienter riskerar att utveckla malnutrition och ska erhålla nutritionsstöd i form av enteral nutrition (EN) och parenteral nutrition (PN). Trots att flödesscheman för EN används på många intensivvårdsavdelningar får patienter sällan 100 % av ordinerat kaloribehov. Syftet med denna studie var att utvärdera införandet av flödesschema för enteral nutrition på en neurokirurgisk intensivvårdsavdelning (NIVA). Som metod valdes en retrospektiv, kvantitativ studie. En granskning av journaldata från förgruppen (n =28), fem månader innan införandet av flödesschemat och data ifrån eftergruppen (n =20), fem månader efter införandet av flödesschemat har gjorts.

Bakgrund: I Sverige drabbas årligen ca 12 000 personer av afasi där stroke är den största bakomliggande orsaken. Afasi är en språkstörning som delas in i expressiv respektive impressiv form men oftast har den drabbade en kombination av de båda.                      Syfte: Studiens syfte var att belysa individers erfarenheter av sitt dagliga liv med förvärvad afasi efter en stroke.                                                                                                Metod: Studien är en systematisk litteraturöversikt där artiklar har sökts i databaserna Cinahl, PsychINFO och PubMed. Artiklar valdes utifrån uppsatt syfte för att sedan kvalitetsgranskas. Tio artiklars resultat har analyserats för att sedan placeras in i kategorier och teman.                                                                                                            Resultat: Att drabbas av afasi påverkade individen på många olika plan och orsaken till de upplevda problemen var som oftast kommunikationssvårigheter. Många fick en förändrad syn på sig själv, upplevde sig ensamma och tappade självförtroendet.

There are several energy systems in the Swedish society and to ensure the comfort and health of the citizens it is of importance that the different energy systems are functioning properly. District heating is one of these energy systems and many household depend only on district heating to warm up their homes. District heating is dependent on several processes where every step needs to function in order to deliver the produced heat to the end consumer. Previous studies have investigated the distribution of district heating and how to make customers choose district heating as their heating method. The supply of fuel to the district heating plant has not been studied as much, even though it is an important part of the whole system. This thesis is a part of the project NORD-STAR (Nordic Strategic Adaption Research), which has focused on climate adaption in the Nordic countries.

Uppsala County has ambitious environmental aims for the planned residential area inÖstra Sala backe. In this thesis different energy sources have been evaluated todetermine which system that would be most favorable given currently availableinformation about the project. Planned energy usage has been divided into tap waterheating, space heating and power. Three base case scenarios were made with districtheating, small scale bio fuel and heat pump. Solar power and solar heating were thensimulated and the production from the two could individually be deducted from theenergy need in the base cases, constituting 9 different scenarios.

Bakgrund: Varje år drabbas ca 30 000 personer i Sverige av stroke och idag anses det vara en folksjukdom. Strokerehabilitering är en vanlig arena för arbetsterapeuter. I arbetsterapeutens uppdrag ingår motivationsarbete för att leda patienten genom rehabiliteringen. Motivation är en individs inre drivkraft och en förutsättning för en framgångsrik rehabilitering. Syfte: Studiens syfte var att beskriva arbetsterapeuters arbete med motivation inom strokerehabilitering.

In today?s society a large focus is put on energy systems and how our energy systems are built up. In order to make sure that we in the future still can enjoy the living standards that we are used to today, Sweden and EU have made a number of decisions on making our energy system more energy efficient and consequently reduce the usage of energy resources. By 2020 the European Union should have reduced its energy consumption by 20 % compared to 1990?s level, and by 2050, 50%.

Buildings worldwide account for 40 % of the total energy use. Climate change is of increasing importance, but few are willing to reduce their standard of living or get a higher cost for the change. Energy efficiency of existing buildings gives the greatest benefit economically and environmentally. The real estate company Klövern AB manages 46 properties in Karlstad. Heating is the major cost of the total operating costs of real estate. Rising energy prices increase the need for Klövern AB to improve energy efficiency and to investigate alternative sources of heat.
