Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva föräldrars upplevelser av att ha ett barn som är homosexuellt; hur man tänkte och kände när man fick vetskap om barnets läggning och hur man upplever det idag. Författarens utgångspunkt är att det heteronormativa samhälle har betydelse för vår syn på homosexualitet och för hur föräldrar reagerar när deras barn kommer ut som homosexuellt. Metoden som använts är semistrukturerade intervjuer som analyserats utifrån en kvalitativ, tematisk ansats. Majoriteten av föräldrarna i undersökningen beskriver att beskedet om deras barns homosexualitet väckte både sorg och rädsla och för ungefär hälften av dem kom det som en fullständig chock. Med tiden har de svåra känslorna avtagit i styrka och flera föräldrar rapporterar att deras barns homosexualitet har lett till att de själva har mognat som människor och kommit närmare sina barn.

In recent years it has become more and more evident that man has contributed to much of the climate changes that have taken place during the last century. A major challenge today is to reduce emissions and energy usage at the same time as the global population is growing. To contribute to a better environment, Stockholms Stad has set at target of becoming fossil fuel free by the year of 2050. The construction of new districts is done with this goal in mind; energy efficiency and renewable energy sources are examples of methods to achieve this.Solar energy is considered to be a sustainable energy source and the most common techniques to harvest solar energy in Sweden are solar cells and solar collectors which produce electricity and heat respectively. This report aims to investigate whether an investment in any of these systems would prove to be economically beneficial at Kvarnholmen, a district under construction in eastern Nacka, Stockholm.Since the finished blueprints only cover a small portion of Kvarnholmen, the report examines the possibilities for a house where construction has already begun, Nya Kvarnen.

Opcon Powerbox is a product developed by Opcon together with the underlying company SRM (Svenska Rotor Maskiner) where surplus heat from the industry is used through an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC)?process to produce electricity. An ORC-process is a thermodynamic circle process in which a refrigerant is used as the working fluid. In the year 1783 a fissure eruption from Laki in the southern part of Iceland produced a large amount of volcanic gases during a period of eight months. The volcanic gases and aerosols spread across the northern hem sphere due to ideal weather conditions and had a substantial impact on the environment, human health and also climate effects. This, so called dry fog, caused severe health problems, which led to death casualties, killing animals, crops and other vegetation. The consequence was a widespread famine which was aggravated by a hard and long winter in 1783/84. Analysis shows that the Icelandic volcanoes are the primary risk to produce dry fog that can affect Sweden.

Heat, clock scew and frequency optimization are some of the problems a semiconductor designer must face. By splitting a synchrounous block into multiple pieces which comunicates asynchronously with eachother and provide them with independent clocks, these problems may be reduced. GALS (Global Asynchronous Local Synchronous) is a wrapper that wraps a synchronous block and provides it with a clock. Multiple GALS-elements will make the whole system. The clockfrequency may be independently adjusted between each block.

In order to take environmental consideration, different environmental assessment tools and standards are used. Miljo?byggnad, Svanen, FEBY12 and PHI are some of these. There has been increased interest to certify buildings and therefore it is of interest to evaluate the assessment of the energy field to see if relevant energy aspects are assessed.

Dessa strålar kan ge upphov till malignt melanom som är den aggressiva formen av hudcancer. Sjukdomen uppkommer i vanliga leverfläckar eller födelsemärken men den kan också börja direkt i huden. Via lymfkärl och blodkärl kan cancercellerna sprida sig till andra ställen i kroppen så kallad metastasering. Detta innebär att malignt melanom är en allvarlig och livshotande sjukdom.

Bakgrund: Bröstcancer är den vanligaste cancerformen hos kvinnor och i Sverige insjuknar 7000 kvinnor per år. Överlevnaden i bröstcancer har ökat de senaste åren tack vare regelbundna mammografiundersökningar och förbättrade behandlingsformer. Det är vanligt att kvinnor vid diagnosbeskedet upplever starka känsloreaktioner som rädsla och chock.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa kvinnors upplevelser av att drabbas av bröstcancer.Metod: Studien bygger på en kvalitativ ansats med ett livsvärldsperspektiv. Data samlades in genom sju självbiografiska böcker skrivna av kvinnor som drabbats av bröstcancer. Analysen gjordes enligt Graneheim och Lundmans (2004) kvalitativa innehållsanalys.Resultat: Det framkom att kvinnor upplevde en förändrad livsvärld då de drabbades av bröstcancer.

Optimizing energy systems is, in Sweden, as in many other countries, of growing interest. District heating systems are no exception. In 2012, 285 out of 290 municipals in Sweden had district heating in use and the majority of these systems have a higher return temperature than that which is possible with an error-free substation of day current technology. To, when possible, lower the return temperature is a way of increasing the effectiveness of the district heating system.This study means to investigate, through simulations and calculations, how big of a reduction in production cost a lower temperature in the city of Ystad?s district heating system would correspond to.

The study also applies the technology commercialization model to indicate the ability of companies to commercialize the technology to the market.Main purpose: The purpose of this work is to study how companies in Sweden proceed with an idea generation and if they manage to commercialize these ideas.Method: This study used a qualitative approach. Multiple case studies & interviews.Conclusion: The innovative ideas in innovative SME:s in Sweden is emerged from randomly events and from systematic developments. Consumer chock is the trigger who draws focus on the idea.

The purpose of this of this essay is to explore the construction of a conservatory that is livable allyear around. When you build a conservatory there are several factors that need to be regardedthat usually are of no importance when you build a regular conservatory. The glassed facadeneeds to have a very good U-value and all the parts of the facade need to be isolated and theconstruction needs to prevent thermal bridges.In this essay we will start by looking at the shape of the conservatory. Due to the façade consistsof glass the conservatory will need to have a good ratio between the area and the façade so thatthe heat losses will be at a minimum. However, due to the fact that one of the sides of the façadeis connected to the warm house, you quickly realize that the shape of the conservatory is of noimportance.There are two common ways to build a foundation for a conservatory, a molded concretefoundation and isolated wooden beams.

I detta projekt har vi fördjupat oss i en glidlagerkonstruktion som befinner sig i en skruvpress. Skruvpressen kompakterar en okänd massa som är sekretessbelagd. Robustus har ett förslag på överdimensionering av det nuvarande glidlagret. Målet med projektet var att analysera och optimera några glidlager i förhållande till det befintliga glidlagret samt att ta hänsyn till materialval och den miljö som lagret kommer att befinner sig i. Det som analyserna och optimeringen visade var att det befintliga glidlagret hade den bästa geometrin bland alla lösningar men inte det optimala materialet.
