Sjuksköterskors och närståendes uppfattningar om och erfarenheter av de närståendes närvaro under HLR på en intensivvårdsavdelning

SAMMANFATTNINGBakgrund:Närstående till patienter på intensivvårds avdelningar är ofta drabbade av kris och sorg. Patienten befinner sig i ett livshotande tillstånd och miljön är mycket främmande för de närstående. En väl fungerande kommunikation sjuksköterska och närstående emellan är viktig för att hjälpa de närstående bemästra den svåra situation de befinner sig i. Omvårdnadsforskning visar vikten av att de närstående finns nära patienten, men i en livshotande situation kan de närstående bli anmodade att lämna rummet.Metod:För att belysa närståendes och sjuksköterskors uppfattningar och erfarenheter gällande närståendes närvaro vid HLR på en intensivvårdsavdelning utfördes en forskningsöversikt. Sökning gjordes i databaserna Cinahl och Pubmed, med hjälp av sökorden cardiopulmonary resuscitation, resuscitation, witnessed resuscitation, nurse, nurse perspective, experience, attitude, perception, family, family presence, relative perception, och intensive care.

Enhetschefer : En studie om ledarskap inom äldreomsorgen

My purpose is to describe and analyse how care managers experience their position as middle managers in the public sector. I have used a qualitative interview method to answer this question and also to capture my six interview persons opinion and understanding of their own position as middle managers. From my six interviews I noticed some difference in their opinions about how it is being a care manger. The results show that the role as care managers have challenges such as to intertwine their own notion how the caring of the elder should be with strict politic decisions. Other challenges are the limitation of economic recourses and reorganisations.

Good conditions in the workplace, fairness in the workplace and the social differences contribute to a general improvement in public health. A health-promoting leader is working to create a workplace that promotes health, supports its employees and contributes to their wellbeing. The purpose of this study was to investigate the first-line managers in the city of Västerås experience and deal with their conditions and obstacles in the health-promoting leadership. A qualitative approach was chosen and the selection was six first-line managers working in three different areas of the City of Västerås. Managers were interviewed by an interviewguide and the material was analyzed with a manifest content analysis, with an inductive approach.

Lärarstudenters lektionsplaneringar i svenska. : En diskursanalys om lärarstudenters didaktiska val.

This study is based on interviews with four managers in public elderly care and four managers in private elderly care. The aim of this paper is to examine how these managers are experiencing their leadership in relation to conflict management, and if the managers leadership differs depending on private or public elderly care. Leadership and conflict management are theories that have been used in order to analyze the empirical findings. Previous research that has been used in the study concerns ?leadership/leadership styles?, ?conflict management?, ?to be active in the private/public elderly care?.

Personlighet, hälsobeteende och attityder till friskvård : Hos personal på Försäkringskassa i en medelstor stad i södra Sverige

Objectives. The aim of the present study was to examine the relationship between the personality variables Multidimensional Health Locus of Control (MHLC), Negativ affect and Social inhibition (the D-personality), and health behavior and attitudes toward keep-fit measures.Methods. The participants in this study were 170 embloyees at a regional social insurance office in a midsize town in the south of Sweden. Scales concerning health behavior and attitudes toward keep-fit measures were constructed and the participants completed these scales as well as those of MHLC and D-personality.Results. Participants with strong beliefs that other people, such as doctors or family-members, are responsible for their health, showed a more positive attitude as to keep-fit measures than those with a belief that health is controlled by themselves.

Bakgrund: Studier har visat att sjuksköterskor hade bristande kunskap om psykisk hälsa, bristande färdigheter att vårda patienter med självskadebeteende och få eller inga möjligheter att utveckla dessa färdigheter. Sjuksköterskor ansåg att det fanns behov av utbildning och träning inom detta område. Ett holistiskt synsätt innebar att sjuksköterskor ser patienten ur alla perspektiv. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva hur interventioner påverkar sjuksköterskors bemötande av självskadande och suicidala patienter inom somatisk sjukvård, samt att översiktligt beskriva vilka interventioner som använts. Metod: Litteratursökning gjordes i databaserna PubMed och PsycINFO.

Konsekvenser av fysiskt och verbalt arbetsrelaterat våld mot sjuksköterskor

Bakgrund: Våld på arbetsplatsen har blivit alltmer vanligt inom vården och det är ett problem många sjuksköterskor någon gång kommer utsättas för. Våld kan både vara fysiskt och verbalt och kan orsaka konsekvenser i form av försämrad  mental hälsa, samt känslor som rädsla eller otrygghet på arbetsplatsen. Dessa konsekvenser kan i sin tur påverka sjuksköterskornas arbetsförmåga och produktivitet. Syfte: Att beskriva psykosociala konsekvenser av fysiskt och verbalt våld från patienter/och eller anhöriga riktat mot sjuksköterskor som jobbar på sjukhus samt vilken påverkan våldet har på sjusköterskors relation till arbetet och förmåga att ge en patientsäker vård. Metod: Litteraturstudie baserat på 14 kvantitativa och kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar.

Aim: To evaluate nurse student?s apprehension of an interprofessional seminar as part of training. Method: A descriptive, qualitative study built on the analysis of 43 questionnaires and one group interview with nurse student?s who participated in the seminar. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease can limit patients physical abilities and contribute to social isolation. The purpose of this literature study is to investigate men's and women's experiences of living with chronic obstructive pulmonary dis-ease, and the supporting and guiding role of the nurse to an increased quality of life. 13 critical reviewed articles were used to find the answers to our questions. Quality rating forms were used in order to guarantee a good scientific quality. The results show that, it is of great importance for the COPD-patients well-being to experience social support from those around them, and to have a close relation-ship with their families and friends, in order to experience quality of life.

Vårdpersonalens attityder gentemot äldre patienters sexualitet : En litteraturöversikt

Bakgrund: Sexualitet är viktigt för alla individer då det ingår i människans fysiska och mentala behov. För äldre personer oavsett sexuell läggning (hetero? bi? homosexuell) är sexualitet viktigt för upplevelsen av ett hälsosamt liv. Forskning visar att många äldre saknar just kärlek och en fysisk nära kontakt. Patienters sexuella uttryck i form av verbala och sexuella handlingar kan skapa oro hos personalen då de saknar kunskap inom detta område.

Background: In previous studies on the subject hope it has been revealed that hope is an important condition for the experience of health, quality of life and well-being. In the literature hope is described as a great support in life that is vital for a person's life and for how the person manages to become afflicted with a fatal disease. Within palliative care the 6S: s is a person-centered model for care that is directed towards the promotion of patient´s participation, relief from suffering and enablement of well-being and support of the patient and his or her family members. Aim: To describe how patients find hope in their situation in palliative care, and to examine whether there is an interaction between the different dimensions of 6 S: s model and with patients' experiences of hope. Methods: This degree project is literature study.

Kan implementering av Lean leda till effektiviseringar i skandinavisk sjukvård?

AbstractOur purpose for making this study is to study the implementation, the use of and the effects of Lean within our case objects.  We chose to make this thesis by case studies. The three themes mentioned above is also the main research questions that we aim to find an answer to by this study. We have chosen to do a cross section analysis where we conducted structured interviews to find answers to these questions. The theoretical reference frame consists partly of traditional theoreticians within Lean but also more recent research within the subject as well as theory specifically for Lean within the Health Care sector.The result of this study shows in all our case studies that the Management has been supporting the implementation, but that the implementation process proceeds faster if also the professionals are involved in the process.  To succeed with the implementation there is a great need for good reasons and strives that can benefit the professionals. By the use of Lean our case studies have evaluated its processes, with the main intentions being to reduce waste activities and to create flows with ?pull systems?.

A study concerning how social workers handle the after-care of adolescents who earlier has been placed in an institution is written by Therese Wester and Sanna Sjölander Wirlöf. The purpose of the study is to understand and explain how social workers handle the after-care. This study is based on an organizational perspective since the after-care has been studied in relation to the structure of the organization and the laws and guidelines that the organization has to relate to. The method that has been used is semi-structured interviews with six social workers in different municipalities in Stockholm.
